You're the best Ade, you know that right? And well, it's Ari ... Arianna. You know we're kind of dating right now, right? I can't remember if we talked about it or not ... anyway, her parents sort of bumped her from second in line to first, so now she's taking the throne, and on top of that she was put in an arranged marriage with Stefan of Switzerland! It's like, so frustrating, I can't even think about it. It's not fair, and everyone says I should be calm about it ...

Oh wow that's sort of a large decision most parents already seem to be stuck on their choice by this time.
I don't understand this whole idea that people seem to have that arranged marriages are a good idea..

*grins* I know. And yah it was huge enough on it's own, but then Ari told me about the marriage, and I'm just ... gah. She says she'll try to find ways out of it, but I haven't seen Stefan putting in much effort for now, so I'm worried. What if it doesn't work and they're stuck together? Where do I fit in in all this? I don't think you can do anything but listen to me rant, and I'm sorry you have to, but it's just you're the only one who won't tell me to be rational. I'm freaking fifteen, why do I have to be rational about stuff??

No doubt that is a huge announcement.
Has she done anything yet? It's better to act now when its still not as solid as when they start to come to terms with it all rather than later when it will be more of a mess.
I know its hard but try not to think like that Dragan, if her feelings for you are strong she will do everything possible to get out of it, surely her parents would understand that.
Rant away, I am here for that, and really do not mind, sometimes we all need to rant.
Its a shame that anyone at all needs to start thinking about marriage at that age..

I think she already spoke to her parents, but I'm not entirely sure. I've been a bit in the mist ever since she told me this. It's hard not to think negatively, but I guess, if everyone else is so positive about the outcome, I should be too, right? Urgh. And of course some politicians here in Serbia still want to petition to push me to first in line, since Slava technically isn't Serbian, so that's just an added bonus to this all -.- I might fly over to Egypt for a weekend just to be away from everything.

Hmm that does not sound all that convincing, if she already had spoken with them then it should be solved by now.
Understandable how it might catch you by surprise.
There's a difference between being positive or negative than just going with the flow, if you want somethings specific to happen you need to take charge in order to assure that it does. The rest of them seem to be just going with the flow from what you tell me.
All these technicalities, Nada's been raised to be Serbian so that is the way it should stay.
Fly to Harvard instead its much more peaceful here than being around my parents.

It doesn't seem to be that easy, her parents are pretty set about it. We might be planning on telling them we're a couple, but I don't know. Going with the flow seems like a stupid idea to me when we have to do something. Yeah they are, but some people are just idiots. Oh right, I constantly forget you're at Harvard now -.- sorry. I might actually fly out there soon, just to hide out for a day or so. I can't take much more of this.

There is always something that can manage to make parents change their mind.
That might be an alright idea, then they will see that there is no need to marry her off to some other prince, that she's already involved with one on her own accord, since that seems to be at the forefront of every Royal parents mind..

We'll see how it goes, I sincerely hope it works. Stefan doesn't like it any better than either of us, as far as I can tell he also likes someone else, not Ari, so it's moot point there. Harvard sounds like a place I'd love to visit, maybe I could even study there later on. Though Slava'll kill me if I just disappear suddenly lol.

Well hopefully that means that he will protest against it as well, I really do not remember too much about him though since he was quite a lot younger than myself.
