He had spent the last three days thinking of what he was going to do for this date, there were so many options but none of them fit into the idea of what he wanted to do on their first date. He wanted it all to be special, to convince her that he was taking this serious, more serious than he had taken anything at all and yet nothing seemed to win out over the idea that Noah had given her. Why not take her on a traditional date, act like normal teenagers that did not need to worry about ruling their respective countries when the time came and it was not like anything between them had ever been close to normal so why not try that? A movie and then maybe dinner out or dancing somewhere? It was a classic and it was hard to go wrong with that given that it was still winter and that really tended to limit what they could do. He might have suggested something like the movie nights that they had in the park just out of Rexford but it was much too cold to sit through that and therefore spending the evening watching whatever movie she chose and a relaxing dinner seemed perfect. What better way to prove to her that the two could make it work? He felt like things were starting to settle down a little, after all her brother was on his way back from Bulgaria, why Sergej had even told him that was completely beyond him but it was not something that he was too interested in even looking into. He did not need to be tempted by the information given that he wanted a chance with Mira and even if she was not getting along with her brother right now it did not change that he was her brother and therefore was very important. Having a decent truce between the two of them was going to be important in the next little while and that was the only reason why he was allowing the punch to be forgotten, he was allowing himself to look it over, no one but the Bulgarian prince would have been able to walk away unscathed though. Besides things settling down he had just finished with the last of his check ups for his knee and now he was only going to need to go and see them every three months so he was feeling like there was a large weight lifted off his chest, that was going to mean a lot more time for himself. He was back working out and being back to normal, walking without even the slightest limp and he had even danced with Sera when the two of them had gone to hang out at the Ice Box at the end of last week. It had been nice to see his best friend and catch up with the girl since he was not used to her being so far away since they had spent four years together in Vineheart. Brown was really not all that far away though so he needed to make the trip there eventually to return the favour of her visiting him. Anyone that knew him well knew that she was strictly his friend but he did understand how it might have seemed like the two of them were romantically involved since Fred was not close with anyone at all and she was his exception, along with Mira now. But it was impossible for him to ask for advice about Mira when around the Bulgarian princess so that was what Sera was for.
The last class of the day on a Friday always seemed to pass so slowly when everyone was just counting the seconds that were passing by so that they would be able to go and start their weekend and while he usually was not all that antsy since big plans usually revolved around spending time doing something stupid at the Ice Box tonight he was a little more hopeful and he did have something to look forward to. As soon as they were released he took no time at all to be nearly the first one that was out the door and on his way to the dorm room that he shared with Dante and Romeo, really he had not seen either of them too often since his little impromptu trip and he knew that he was going to get an earful from the Spanish prince whenever he chose to return but then again that was something that he was prepared for, there was nothing that he could do to change it now, what had been done was over with and done and he had not approached him so far so then again maybe he would get off the hook this time since it was not entirely his fault and he really did not do anything wrong besides the fact that he dated Elena in the first place. His intentions had been good though, at least he attempted. After a shower it did not take him long to change into a pair of black dress pants, after all he was normally seen looking impeccably groomed and it was rare to see him in a pair of jeans. Not only was he more comfortable in black slacks but it tended to give off a tidier impression. After buttoning the dress shirt his wallet was placed in his back pocket as well as his keys and his cell phone. Locking the dorm room door behind himself he headed in the direction of the girls dorms all he could do was hope that someone else did not open the door since he really had no interest in talking to anyone but Mira. The nerves that he was starting to feel were completely foreign to him and something that he really did not understand at all as he raised his hand to knock on the door.

As far as she was concerned, hooking up in cars and buying her a drink at the club didn't really pass as a date. And honestly, Mira wasn't one for dates. She never had been, wasn't sure she ever truly would be. But for some reason, she'd convinced Fred to take her out on a date. If they were going to do this the right way, one must take a girl on a date before wanting to be official, right? They couldn't just...suddenly decide to be together when no one even realized they were truly friends. The past two weeks since Fred had returned from wherever he'd gone, they'd spent increasing amount of time in each other's presence, in public. As far as the public was concerned, they just looked like they'd finally worked out their differences. It would probably alarm everyone if they suddenly were seen walking hand in hand everywhere, right? Besides, the word "official" still made Mira feel a bit squeamish, even if she didn't want to admit it. She could tell Fred had been frustrated with her in the past week or so, judging by their conversation over text message. He wanted to make things official, but Mira was still hesitant. Her brother had yet to return from Bulgaria and she really wanted to talk to him, to just...let him know how things were going to go. Just like he'd told her to fuck off when she raised a stink about his relationship with Pirzi, she wanted to tell him that he had no voice in her relationship with Fred. Hypocrisy at its finest, but between the two of them, they tended to be very hypocritical. It wasn't that she didn't want to be official with Fred -- she just wanted to take it slow. And taking it slow meant taking her on a date. But how was one to act on a date? Mira didn't want this night to feel funky because they were trying to act like something they weren't. She didn't know where Fred was taking them, but she was hoping it was something fun to keep their minds off of the fact that they were actually on a date and not just screwing around in the empty classroom on the first floor. Not that it was hard to be comfortable around Fred...but who knew what kind of atmosphere they were getting themselves into? In any case, when classes were over for the day, Mira headed straight up to her room. She'd rummaged through her rather large closet for anything and everything to wear, but she felt like she had nothing date-appropriate at all. She certainly had clothes meant for the Ice Box and weekend trips and royal dinners, but a date night outfit? She was stumped. After about an hour of strewing her clothes about the room -- she'd sent a text to Katerina to beg her to help clean her room when she returned at the end of the night -- she finally found something worthwhile: a silky red sleeveless dress that cinched in at the waist, showing off just the right amount of curves without looking like a tramp. She couldn't recall when she'd ever purchased the dress, but she had a sneaking suspicion it was something Aubrey had forced her to buy at some point. Good ol' Aubrey. Keeping the rest of her outfit rather simple with a statement necklace and black earrings and clutch, she continued on to her hair. What to do with her hair? Was she to pull it up into something classy? No...too formal. And totally not Mira. Was she to leave it like it was, with her messy, unruly curls? No, too casual. She wanted to look like Mira, but a somewhat dressed up version of Mira. An effortless Mira, one that Fred could recognize. So, after much deliberation, she decided to tame her curls a bit with a curling iron and smoothing cream, creating a nice, evening look. Good. At this point in time, it was nearing the hour in which Fred had said he'd arrive. Nerves were beginning to bundle up in her stomach, and this didn't sit well with Mira. She hated nerves -- and she wasn't exactly used to these type of nerves. A heavy sigh passed through her lips as she finished applying the last coat of mascara. This wasn't going to do. Not at all. She quickly got up and walked over to her bed, bent down on her knees, and reached underneath her bed until her hands found the hard surface of the box she'd been looking for. She pulled the wooden box out from underneath the bed, flipped the latch, and opened the box. Inside the box was her secret stash of vodka -- the kind she'd paid thousands of dollars for a few years back when she'd been too young to legally drink in Bulgaria. It was some fine vodka, probably some of the best in the world, and Mira had been harboring it for a few years now, not wanting to touch any of the bottles unless it was an emergency situation. Her first date sounded like an emergency, right? She grabbed one of the bottles and unscrewed the top, the smell of the liquor immediately overwhelming her. Just one shot. That's all she needed to calm her nerves. She took a long swig, the taste absolutely burning her throat, and then replaced the bottle into the box, shut the lid, and slid the box back underneath the bed. It would be a few minutes before she felt any effects of the strong liquor, but by the time Fred arrived, she'd be far less nervous. Five minutes later, she was slipping on her black heels when there came a knock on the door, and immediately she bounded off of her bed. Her dark eyes flew to the long mirror next to her closet and, after deciding she looked decent enough, she walked over to the door and slowly opened it. A small, reluctant smile passed her lips and she opened the door wider, revealing the rest of her body. "Hey," she greeted him, unable to stop herself from taking in his handsome appearance. He cleaned up nicely, didn't he? Then again, Fred never looked very sloppy. tag: fred status: complete outfit: here [/style]

There were all kinds of firsts involved with the two of them, after all he had never been serious enough about someone that he had slept with them consecutively for a time frame, it was one night stands or nothing at all. With Mira though as bad as the friends with benefits thing did sound he had never strayed from her the entire six months, it might not be the most orthodox way to start something between two people but then again a relationship that is built out of complete attraction to one another is something that is more likely going to last than something that had already lost its spark. For them chemistry was not the problem, the problem was that the two of them really did not have a single ounce of dating experience between the two of them. Sure he had been dating Elena, took her out a bit and took her to the Alps with him but the Spanish princess was a lot different than Mira. He really was not the dating type and he did have to say that she really did not seem to be the type either but who was he to say and if she wanted to go out on a date then he was going to make that happen and he was going to make sure that it was one that was even traditional for people their age since that had been what Noah had suggested. With people that were born into Royal families and used to the life of being able to do whatever they wanted why not having to worry so sometimes it was nice to be able to do something that was considered to be normal.
The fact that she thought that they could not just be together without being friends first was a little ridiculous to him but he was not going to protest. A lot of people went from not being friends to dating someone, it was different for the two of them since they had been such sworn enemies but really who even cared what other people were to think as long as the two of them were happy, to him in the back of his mind he personally just thought that she was stalling. He was never going to admit that to her though and he really did not hope that it was the case. Perhaps after tonight it would be a little more clear as to what was going through her mind because she was honestly one of the only people that he could not predict no matter what. He did have to admit that he was getting a little frustrated since he was not the most patient of people but really what could he even say to make her change his mind and he was not used to feeling so helpless. He needed to just take it one step at a time though before losing his mind. He had been out all day and therefore keeping himself busy enough that he did not end up overthinking things because the last thing that he wanted was for an awkward tension to be between the two of them. He needed to give this the best chance possible and that meant not screwing it up before it even started. After showering and changing he felt like he was ready to go and stepped out of the dorm room following the well known stairs to the girls dorms.
He knew that the nerves that he was feeling right now where characteristic for when he was around Mira but still that did not mean that he was used to it or wanted to admit to it. He was not the type to feel nervous and yet she seemed to bring this all out in him like it was lurking right below the surface. Raising his hand to knock on the door he stepped back so that he would not be in the way. Brow rosed lightly when she seemed reluctant in pulling open the door and that really stumped him since this was her entire idea, she was the one that wanted to go out on the date and now she did not even seem like she wanted to be there? Hazel eyes were lifted to meet hers with an unreadable expression though his voice was still soft. Hey. He greeted her. You look beautiful. It was hard for him to stand there and now just for his jaw to drop to the ground, the only times that compared to right now had been at her birthday party last year and the winter gala and he had a hard enough time tearing his eyes away from her then when there had been the entire student population around. Ready to go? He asked extending his hand in her direction to lead her towards where his car was parked in the parking lot of the school, if it was going to be a date he was going to act completely proper as he thought that he was supposed to act.

Either way, the room was suddenly warm and she stepped out into the hallway to get some cooler air. She was just about to follow him when she jumped and hurried back into the room. "Hold on, I forgot something!" She said aloud, and she quickly dug through her jewelry drawer until she found the prized piece, sitting pretty in a box as if it were brand new. Mira delicately lifted the Tiffany charm bracelet out of its signature blue box, grabbed the trench coat she'd forgotten on her coat hanger, and finally left the room, making sure to shut the door behind her. "Will you help me put it on?" She asked, slipping the coat on as she handed him the bracelet. Mira outstretched her wrist, enjoying being so close in his presence. It was safe to say she'd missed being alone like this. She took his hand as he led them down the hallway, down the stairs, and out into the parking lot. Her fingers laced with his, and she was struck by the fact that she didn't think they'd actually ever held hands, not in private or in public. This simple act made her skin tingle, and she knew it wasn't the alcohol this time. It was chilly outside, and there was still snow on the ground, but it was not nearly as freezing as it had been the past few months. It was now March, and in a few weeks, the snow would subside and only a light, bitter breeze would remain of the winter season. By May, spring would be in full bloom and the weather would finally be warmer. Mira didn't even want to think about June...because June meant graduation and leaving Vineheart for good. She loved Sofia, but she didn't want to go back to Bulgaria just yet, because that meant training, and far more restrictions than she'd had the past few years. Mira supposed she could try and choose a university in the United States, but nowhere seemed to suit her fancy just yet, and she didn't know why. Besides, she didn't have top notch grades, exactly...all of her drama and crazy life had gotten in the way of school. And she just tended to put school on the backburner anyways. She felt so proper, walking hand in hand with a boy taking her on a date. It seemed exactly like it should be, and yet Mira had this funny feeling, one she couldn't shake off. Was she feeling unsatisfied? That didn't seem possible. She and Fred were finally starting things off right, and she knew by the way her skin was burning that he was having an immense effect on her. But she just couldn't shake that feeling that something wasn't right, or wasn't the way it should be. Perhaps it was just because she was so used to the two of them meeting up in the middle of the night and only having sex and being intimate...they'd never gone on a real date before, so this was new territory. Her nerves were probably just getting the best of her, she was sure of it. Tonight would be perfect, it had to be. And where were they going, anyways? Fred was the type to overthink things, so he probably had everything planned to perfection, and she was anxious about it. What if things went horribly wrong? No, no, they couldn't go wrong. It was Fred and Mira -- two wrongs already, but they were two wrongs that just seemed to make the perfect kind of right. tag: fred status: complete outfit: here [/style]

He was turning into someone that he did not even recognize. The same old obnoxious jerk Fred was still there lurking right beneath the surface and threatening to make a stand but being decent actually seemed to being going well. After the week that he spent at the boot camp in Switzerland his renewed sense of making ammends before he graduated had been set into motion. He even had a heart to heart with Noah which was beyond weird to him. He considered things to be neutral with Sergej since he had pretty much apologized for punching him, even though Fred would have a lot more respect for him if he had not even bothered to apologize, it was a long time coming and he was not stupid enough to not realize that. He needed it it was a wake up call. He had long since apologized to Bentley for leaving him rideless and belligerently drunk at the Ice Box at the end of last year and the list went on. Sera called him out on acting strange and it was not like he was going to be able to keep up the charade for too long but hey why not try it out, maybe he had it all wrong. He was not too keen on admitting that he had been wrong though, he did not ever like to back down, he was not the type to lie down and have someone walk all over him like he was a doormat, Switzerland did not need a future king like that. His father had the same mentality when he was Fred's age so therefore he was not too worried at all because his father turned out to be a worthy ruler. He hid the fact that inside he was stressing out about the fact that his parents were wanting him to take the throne a lot sooner than expected and what that would mean for him. They wanted to even retract the offer of him going to University in order to continue his training and to be fully immersed in it. He felt like he needed that extra few years in order to mature though he needed the time to act like a teenager rather than a future King, he was not ready and he did not like what going to University in Zurich was going to symbolize. By the time that he did reach Mira's door though everything had been pushed out of his mind and even if it hadn't been spotting her did the trick. She looked amazing, a lot like she did the night of the gala or the night of her birthday and the fact that she was dressed up just for him caused his stomach to feel like it was tied in knots. She uttered that she had forgotten something and brow was raised watching her step back into the room to hear her rustling through something as he stood placidly at the door leaning against the door frame casually. She came back with the bracelet asking him if he would be able to help her with it and he nodded gently. A smile turning his lips upwards at spotting the present that he had bought her. As she outstretched her wrist in his direction fingers trailed against the bare skin there while fastening the clasp for her.
The whole idea of holding hands with her was completely new and he was sure that they had not in fact ever done it, tonight was the night for a lot of firsts between the two of them; first date, first time holding hands and there was a strange feeling that almost made him giddy at this idea. It had been a long time since the two of them were alone together and he really missed it. He missed the chemistry, he missed being close to her and he missed her attitude more than anything. It was cold outside and he could not wait for the seasons to change even if that meant that things were going to be a lot different, he did not know what summer was going to bring for him or what it was going to mean for the two of them but right now he was ready for the change and he was willing to go out of his way to make things work between the two of them because even not having been around eachother for a long time nothing changed, all his feelings were the same as the night of the gala. As they walked together his thumb moved lightly against hers from where their fingers were laced together. He did not care if anyone were to see them, after all he wanted people to see them together he wanted her to be seen as off limits to all the other guys even if he was not going to admit that to her since he knew that she wanted to take it slow and he did not even know where they stood right now. He was really nervous about this idea since it was not even his own but really it did seem like a good start for the two of them. He held the passengers door of his car open for her, the reminder of what they had done in his car one night was still on the forefront of his mind but he did not allow his expression to change at all before climbing into the drivers side. I was thinking dinner and a movie? He uttered. It seemed like the traditional date for people our age and I know its not very often where we actually get to act like teenagers given the rest of the responsibilites. He suggested. What do you think? Of course he had a back up plan if she did not like the idea though as the car was started heading towards Rexford and the restaurant that Noah had told him about. A smaller diner that was known for homecooked food and never being too busy so they could actually talk. They were part of Royal families and that meant that they were forced to go through awkwardly fancy dinners all the time so this simplicity might be what they needed. I do have another plan if you don't like that idea though. He commented as he drove.

Somehow, over the course of a few weeks into the school year and after weeks of mind-blowing sex, the late nights had morphed into something totally and completely different, something they'd both known but internally denied. Mira could clearly recall the desire to fall asleep in his arms, and her confused mind thereafter. That's when she'd noticed things had changed, and consequently that was when everything had begun to spiral. Her weeks of denial of her true feelings for Fred had nearly sent her life crashing to the ground, but thankfully things were beginning to pick up again. Everything was still rocky, but they were just now getting out of the whole crisis to begin with, especially since she'd heard rumors of Dante's coming return. Dante would not be happy to find out about his sister, and Mira knew she'd be caught in the middle of it even if she didn't want to. She and Fred were guaranteed to be spotted tonight, and while she didn't care, she suspected a few of their closest friends would put two and two together and figure out why Fred's relationship with Elena had seemed to just kind of...end without true reason. Mira had never considered the thought that Dante may be angry with her, but she wasn't going to lose much sleep over that factor. As if he could talk about choosing who you fell for... please. No, she only worried about Fred; as standoffish as Fred was with people, she knew he genuinely cared about his friends. He wouldn't want to lose them forever. But tonight was not the night to worry about those kinds of things, not on their first date anyways. She was already worried enough about how the date was going to go; all she really wanted was some more alcohol to keep her nerves at bay, but she always tended to overdrink than underdrink, and she wasn't going to spend her first date ever drunk. A grin formed on her lips when he opened the passenger door for her, and she easily slid into the seat, remembering the last time she'd been in this car. Still spotless. But forever tainted. Fred told her the plan and Mira nodded slowly, considering the idea. Dinner and a movie was common -- cliché, even -- and so why not? Mira rarely did anything common. Maybe it was time she tried doing something normal rather than always jumping onto risky situations. The car began to move and she realized she had yet to reply, so she sent a smile his way. "No, that sounds great," she said, reaching out to lightly touch his shoulder. Last time she'd done that, she'd been trying to incite him, make him angry. Kind of amusing, considering their current situation. "I'm curious as to what your back-up plan was, though," she added as an afterthought, a mischievous grin on her face. Was he choosing traditional things, or did he always have a third option that was a bit wild? Tonight wasn't supposed to be crazy, but she wasn't opposed to the idea; that, however, was just Mira's inner wild child speaking. She really didn't care what they did, as long as she could spend time with him, as cheesy as that was. She felt compelled to make up her past mistakes and she wanted him to know just how much he really meant to her; all of this wasn't a game to her anymore, and she didn't want to him to think she was holding out on him just because. tag: fred status: complete outfit: here [/style]

The touch of his fingers on her wrist was on purpose and he was smug in being able to spot the way that it affected her and the way that she bit her bottom lip at least the way that he was still able to affect her was enough to have some security in her feelings because really keeping away from her and trying to just be friend was tearing him in all sorts of different directions and he was honestly trying his hardest but it was really tough for him. He really did hope that she realized that it was not easy, and that if she was anyone else that he would not have put this sort of effort forth for her. Anyone else and he would have long since given up and walked away from but the Bulgarian princess had him wrapped right around her little finger. It was hard for him to be on his best behavior when he knew how passionate things could get between the two of them and he longed for it, he longed to know that the same chemistry passed between the two of them and after all he was a guy if he was not physically attracted to her then it would be even more worrisome. He had been the first one to ignore the fact that things seemed to change between the two of them later when they were sleeping together, he did not want to admit to himself at the time because he did not want the commitment and he did not want to have to deal with feelings and emotions but that only worked for so long. There were times when he did not even need the sex, he felt like he just needed what same afterwards and being able to watch when she fell asleep in his arms. Expression softened at just the mere thought of that because there was no time where she was more appealing to him when she was not trying to distance herself. He was really surprising himself with how patient he was being, I mean he was willing to give a second chance after she rejected him so bluntly at the gala and here he was just waiting for the next command and next revelation. He knew that Dante was going to be back soon enough but really there was not too much to worry about I mean what was the worst that the Spanish prince could do to him? Punch him? Well Sergej had already taken care of that one. Or he could kick him out of the Kings but really none of that mattered to him either, he was not even all that close with the rest of the Kings in the first place. Sure they talked and they were amicable but really there had not even been too much involvement with the group this year. What happened to all the parties that were going to be thrown? He really did not know the answer to that and he just had to assume that things had really started to go south with the group since their leader was away for so long and that made sense to him since he really did not need to get in any more trouble than he had already managed just on his own. He was really worried for Dante and looked forward to him being back to continue with the rest of the year, he did not have too many friends and he really did not know if he was going to have one less because of his antics yet or not.
It was impossible for him to keep anything but Mira on his mind for long though because right now he could barely tear his eyes away from her and the pride that practically radiated off him when he was allowed to hold her hand on the walk to the car, he felt like he was a little kid on Christmas morning and this was never the way that Fred acted, ever. The car was always going to have a special meaning for him but it was better not to remember the waty that she looked that night because if that was the case he would have a hard time even navigating out of the parking lot and onto the road and this was their first date and therefore needed to be proper and end in the right way. Watching her smile so easily from sitting there in the passengers seat was enough to cause him to do the same in glancing over at her and when he told her his idea she seemed to be alright with it. It was not too often that they were even allowed to be common since they were always at high society events and needed to look proper and like Royals so he thought that it would be a nice way to escape for the night. I am not used to acting normal, Mira, this is going to be weird for me. He commented with a small chuckle. She asked about his back up plan and dark eyes were settled on her at a stop light when it turned red. Well you see I can not disclose that because I might use it for future, if you decide you would like to go on a second date with me. He teased. When they arrived at a parking lot by the side of a building to a little hole in the wall restaurant he stepped out in order to offer his hand to her at the passenger door. This place better not suck, or it will be the last time I trust Noah. He uttered softly. Even though it did not appear to be the most fancy from the outside though he did have to admit that it had charm when he held the door open for her and it was all dimly lit and romantic looking without the buzz of so many people being there at once.

"Weird for you? I don't even know what normal is," she countered with a light shrug, removing her hand and letting it fall into her lap. It was true: nothing about Mira was normal, not even close. Before last year, she was wild Bulgarian princess, guaranteed to take you on a whirlwind of a ride and always everyone's first choice for a party. Then, last year, things had begun the downward spiral, and everyone had started to believe she was just genuinely crazy, with her worsening mood swings and constant anger. Fourth year had just been a bad year overall, especially with the accident and everything with Nada, but things seemed to be looking up in that department. Then, this year, all everyone saw her as was a girl spiraling out of control, struggling to keep things together, no longer that daring princess who just wanted to have fun. And now, well...now she was just putting the pieces back together, trying to figure out which ones fit and which ones didn't. Did she still want to be that impulsive, unpredictable eighteen year old girl who couldn't say no to a good time? Of course; that would never change. That was simply a part of her personality. But she now understood that there were other important things in life, like love, family, loyalty...things she hadn't considered before in favor of an adrenaline rush and experiencing everything life had to offer. If you would have told a thirteen year old Mira that she'd be on a first date with the boy who was her number one enemy, she would have laughed straight in your face. No, Mira was not normal. But was that so bad? Not really. Her dark eyes narrowed in his direction and she pretended to pout, jutting out her bottom lip and leaning in so that her he could clearly see her eyelashes fluttering helplessly. "Pretty please?" She pleaded, but she knew he wasn't going to budge. Besides, the words "second date" sent her mind into overdrive. She could barely comprehend one date, let alone two. Their first date wasn't really going to decide anything -- they already knew how they felt about each other -- but just the thought of feeling nervous all over again made her squirm. She clearly didn't work well with nerves. She was distracted from further thought when they pulled up to the restaurant, a rather quaint-looking place from the outside, and she gave Fred a curious look as she took his hand and stepped out of the car. It certainly seemed like a very private place to have dinner; most dinner dates took place at the Lantern, but this restaurant seemed far off on the outskirts of Eureka. Clearly Fred's servant had a penchant for places where they were less likely to be seen, and for that, she thought Noah earned brownie points. And it was actually quite charming, Mira noted, as she walked inside; dimly lit, neutral to dark colorings, almost like a dressed up cottage -- comfortable with a touch of class. The hostess at the front immediately sat them down at a small booth in one of the corners, next to a window that showed a clear view of the forest surrounding the outskirts of Eureka, and a streetlight. Romantic, Mira decided. Mira automatically placed the napkin in her lap, as one used to royal dinners would, and picked up the menu with a smile. "Noah seems like the romantic type," she guessed, unable to hide the teasing in her tone. tag: fred status: complete outfit: here [/style]

With the way that she grinned and the feeling of her fingers running along the nape of his neck his shoulder tensed, wanting nothing more to kiss her but then again he was on his best behavior and she was the one that wanted this first date between them so he was actually going to act like it was a first date and pretend like they had not slept together countless times before now. That makes two of us so I guess we are both left in the dark. He uttered with a small chuckle and glancing at her for a moment with a dark but soft expression in hazel eyes. He knew all too well that nothing about Mira was normal, that was what caused him to feel so attracted to her in the first place. The fact that she was nothing like the other girls that he had been with, that was what tended to set them apart. She was on her own level and he was even willing to admit to that. The two of them both were a little wild in their pasttimes but he did not have all the same cravings as he did once upon a time. There were a few nights where he went to the ice box in order to have a couple drinks and blow off some steam but even then it was not as often as he used to.The months without being able to drink at all because of the pain killers for his knee seemed to set him straight, to tell the truth seeing what had happened with Dante was something that struck a little too close to home, the other boy had just gotten out of control and his life started spinning and he was unable to stop it. Fred never wanted to be in that situation since he was much too much of a control freak, he always wanted to be able to control his life. Fred tended to see Mira a lot differently than the rest of the population of the school because he never really saw the wild and reckless girl, sure there were times where she was reckless but in the back of his mind he knew that it was mostly because she was doing her best to try to hide her real feelings and emotions. She was putting her defenses and her guard up and trying to act like it was impenetrable. He had started to be able to see past that when she had called things off between the two of them and that was the side of her that he was the most attracted to, the vulnerable side that she did not show all too often but he knew was there lurking right below the surface. He was the same in the way that he would never turn down a good time and he was more often than not found at the center of a party that was one side of him that was not going to change either but he was starting to rethink things. He had burnt so many bridges since he had been here that he really did not know if there were any true people that he could call friends. Sure he was close with the Kings but that was just because that was the way that they were supposed to look to the school and not because any of them actually enjoyed spending time together. He had been close with Bentley at one point and then when Bentley had punched X at the rose ball he did not want his name blacklisted either and lost contact with him in order to keep in good with the Kings and even then when he tried to make ammends with him this year he screwed up. Remembering vividly the night that he left a drunk and restless French prince at the Icebox with no ride back home.
Somethings in his life really needed to change and now was the time to make sure that they did before he did not have the chance all over again and he needed to just call it quits. Right now though all he needed to worry about was the girl that was seated beside him in the car that he was taking out on a date, a real date. He never really thought that it was going to be something that happened between him and Mira since the two were just so messed up when they were together but he was all for starting new and fresh like the two had not even made a truce much less slept together for six months. No one else needed to know that. He bit his bottom lip when she then turned to him and pouted fluttering her eye lashes at him though she really did not even need to do that to render him completely under her spell. You are impossible. He told her with a fake scowl. I can't even dream of resisting you. He stated, he had never been as truthful as he was with her right now, back when they were just sleeping together with no feelings involved, or supposedly no feelings involved there was no way that he would have ever told her something like that and risked it pushing her away and coming back to haunt him. I'll think about telling you. He told her with a small smirk before they pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant. He really did not know what to expect from tonight and if they were going to make a habit out of this but he could not see why not if it went well. So a mention of a second date traditionally came after the first. The Lantern seemed like a place that was just too common to take someone like Mira since that would be something that she expected so even though this was set to be a 'normal' date did not mean that he was not going to try his best to seperate it from what other guys might have done and taken the easy way out in his situation, he was never the type to take the easy way out. His own napkin was then placed in his lap raising a brow when she commented that Noah seemed like a romantic. Is that a jibe implying that I'm not? Am I going to have to prove otherwise? He uttered with a small smirk before turning towards a waitress coming their direction and waiting for her to make her drink order before then ordering for himself. Glancing back down at the menu.

He was driving for God's sake -- no need to distract him from the roads. But all she really wanted to do was kiss him, exactly the way she had that first night in this very same car. He couldn't dream of resisting her? She could hardly resist him, let alone resist him for an entire night. He was right; this friends business was getting trickier, but didn't a date mean that they were no longer just friends? They were taking the next step, but these were boundaries she'd never crossed before, paths she had never stepped foot on. How the hell was she supposed to know what went on during a date? Did dates commonly have this much sexual tension between those involved? Probably not, as most first dates didn't happen between two people who had already been together for a long time. But this was Mira and Fred, and things didn't always happen the way they thought things should. Mira recalled Katerina's words the night she'd thought she'd have to give up on Fred forever: "You've fallen for the jerkiest guy in existence." Well, it was a funny thought, if she really considered it -- Fred hadn't always been the most pleasant of princes, and she'd absolutely hated his guts for the past four years. But right here, in this car, when it was just the two of him -- he was hardly a jerk. He was just Fred. Irritating, irresistible Fred. As they settled into the booth seats, Mira took a quick glance at the menu, a grin forming on her lips. "You're telling me you have a romantic bone in your body?" She countered, her dark eyes flickering up to meet his gaze. She didn't think Fred was unromantic, per say, but he was no knight in shining armor. Then again, Mira didn't want a damn knight in shining armor. She didn't want a guy to lavish her with silly gifts and spout love songs like a cheesy chick flick. She just wanted passion, and that was certainly not something she lacked with Fred. The waitress arrived at the table and Mira turned to the woman, deciding to order tea for now -- something to calm her unpredictable nerves. Her eyes fell back to the menu, though, when the waitress left, and she scoured the list for anything that sounded appetizing. This particular restaurant seemed to serve mostly American food -- burgers, chicken sandwiches, but she also saw steak on the menu, and it had been quite a while since she'd had a nice steak. Usually, when she went out to dinner in the States, she tended to order seafood, but why not try something different tonight? Besides, wasn't a steak dinner normal for a date? After deciding on what she wanted, she looked back up from the menu and gave Fred a long look before asking, "What movie are we going to see?" She'd forgotten about that little part of the date -- going to see a movie. There was a small theater on the other side of town, and though most of the royals didn't frequent it often, it was a nice enough theater. She was curious as to what type of movie Fred had chosen; an action flick, romantic comedy, drama? Would he know what she liked, or would he be taking a wild guess? Mira didn't even have any idea what movies were currently showing; she tended to only watch movies during the bitter winter in Bulgaria, when it wasn't exactly ideal to go out and about in a blizzard. tag: fred status: complete outfit: here [/style]

She was a distraction just sitting there as she was right now, just the way that she was looking atr him and he could not help but keep glancing over at her when he got the chance. It was clear that she was the only thing on his mind right now and he wanted that. It was true when he stated that he could not resist her, wasn't it supposed to be that way when you felt strongly about someone? He did not know what going out on this date meant that they were but she was the one that was left to make that decision because she had been the one to decide that they needed to be friends before all else anyways and he was having a hell of a time keeping his hands off her. He did not know if dates did have this much sexual tension between the two people because the only person that he really had dated was Elena and that was all too soon for any of that not to mention the fact that even when he was dating her he was still having feelings for Mira as well. He knew that not too many people did think too highly of him and he was sure that Mira's servant heard all about it as well but that did not mean that he did not have true feelings for her, feelings that had never happened for him before, she was the exception to every rule for him and there was nothing that he would not do in order to keep her happy, she just did not need to see that from him right now. She did not need to see that she rendered him completely powerless. Neither of them tended to have the best reputations when it came to other people anyways so he really did not know what the big deal was, there was much too much involvement with the gossip blog since he knew that the story of him breaking up with Elena had already been featured as well as it stated that she had broken up with Leon. He could not believe that they really had managed to escape the blog for this long, everyone else seemed to manage to get features and they had managed to keep a secret for so long. There was a time that he really believed that there was no way that there was anything such as a secret here at Vineheart given that even things that people worked on keeping to themselves managed to get out there but they were just lucky he supposed or just far too crafty for their own good. He was lucky that the drive did not take all too long because his attention span was not too high right now and the last thing he wanted to do was end up rear ending the person in front of him at a stop sign because he could not stop looking at the girl that was sitting beside him just as irresistable and tempting as always. Holding the car door open for her he reached for her hand once more walking in the direction of the door of the restaurant and holding that door open for her as well before they were then seated at the booth along the far wall and when she uttered that she did not know that he even had a romantic bone in his body hazel eyes were narrowed in a glare at her direction. Well you see now that we are going on dates, I am allowed. I have never been allowed before and nor have I had someone that meritted that sort of attention. He told her wisely.
For him being romantic was nothing about cheesy lines and love songs for him it was expressing the way that he felt about someone, really he did not know what it meant to be a true romantic, but if it started with feelings that were impossible to deny then he was well on his way. She asked what movie they were going to see tonight and he shrugged. There is another choice for you, they all tend to start around the same time from when I checked the theatre so the choices are; Snow White and the Huntsman, The Avengers, Batman, or really anything at all as long as is it's not Magic Mike. He teased but if that was something that she really did want to see and there was no choice about it he did know that he would go with her, that would be something that she would need to promise not to tell anyone though. Only Mira would get that sort of a response from him. He did not tend to go to movies all that often either, only lately a little more then often because of his knee and the fact that he was not allowed to do too much but really he did not tend to like sitting still for that long because he became antsy. He really did not care what movie she ended up choosing as long as he was going to get to spend two hours with her in a dark theatre not that anything was going to happen since he was on his best behavior. When the waitress came back she asked for Mira's order first and then he ordered the chicken parmesan since it was something different from what he usually ordered and when the woman was gone he reached across the table to take one of her hands gently. There was one question that was nagging at the back of his mind that he had been meaning to ask her. Have you thought about where you are going to go to University? He asked dropping her hand then when their meal was set in place in front of them.

"How do you plan on romancing me, then?" She asked, a mischievous look in her eyes. Okay, she definitely wasn't being fair. She was definitely trying to mess with him. But all she could think about was being alone, with him. Even being in this private cafe didn't feel alone enough. She'd never thought she would feel this kind of desire before, not for one person. Sure, lust was one thing...but only wanting one person more than you could handle, how was one supposed to cope with that? Being without him for so long had left her desire for him at an all time high, and now she just couldn't shake it off. How close did she have to get to feel close enough? The film options seemed good -- though she didn't really know the plots for most of them. She'd heard plenty about Magic Mike, as many of the princesses were raving about the sexy stripping and whatnot. It sounded like a hilarious movie, but she knew she'd rather see Fred stripping down than any of the men in the movie. She couldn't think that way currently, though, because if she did...well, they'd never make it to the movies. Oddly enough, she didn't care what they did -- she just wanted to be alone with him. Mira had never felt cheesier in her entire life. "Don't lie, I know you're dying to see shirtless men dancing provocatively," she teased him, taking a sip of her tea. Which movie to choose? "Let's see the Avengers. I haven't seen the second Batman movie yet, so I don't want to mess up the order of things," she suggested. Mira didn't even want to consider Snow White and the Huntsman -- it seemed like an all right movie, but way too cheesy for her. The Avengers, though, seemed like an action packed film she could enjoy with Fred. The waitress returned and Mira ordered the steak with vegetables on the side, deciding it was a filling enough dinner. She would have loved a glass of wine with the steak, but considering she was underage in the United States, that wouldn't have worked out. Good thing she had some nice red wine in her liquor drawer in her room...perhaps, after the movie, Fred could have a glass with her. But then they'd be all alone. In her room. That kind of thing wasn't really supposed to happen on her first dates, but Mira was finding it difficult to think of anything else. When the waitress left, Fred reached for her hands, and Mira smiled gently, her fingers lacing with his. But then he asked the one question she wanted to think about the least and her eyes flickered down to their entwined hands. Where was she going to go to college? She hadn't really thought about it, not really. Most of the graduates would be attending Ivy Leagues universities, private universities, or attend a university in their home country, but Mira didn't like any of those options. She didn't have the grades for Ivy League -- her issues the past two years had made her grades slip, though she wasn't failing or anything; none of the private universities interested her; and she sure as hell was not returning to Sofia to attend university there. She loved Bulgaria, but living there full time meant training for the throne, and she didn't want to go through that. She had zero plans to actually take the throne; she didn't want all of that responsibility. So where, then, seemed like a good place to go next? She'd considered skipping university and just traveling about, doing royal charities and experiencing crazy, exhilarating adventures...but she doubted that would fly with her parents. "I haven't really thought about it, no," she finally said, biting down on her bottom lip. "I just know I don't want to go back to Bulgaria full-time. Returning home means training and an increase in royal duties, and I just...don't want to do all of that," she explained with a sigh. "Besides, I'm under close watch when I'm home in Bulgaria."tag: fred status: complete outfit: here [/style]

The smile that crossed her lips and the look in her eyes was enough to send chills along his spine, to forget that they were in a restaurant and that there were other people around and to make him wish that they were back in the abandoned classroom that would always hold special meaning for him. He knew that in a way it shouldn't because at that time it was just about the two of them sleeping together there was supposed to be no feelings involved and he was certainly not supposed to fall in love with her but how could he not? The only girl that he really could not have, ok well that was not entirely true. The only girl that he wanted that he could not have, or so he had thought for so long and perhaps that had been part of the appeal at first when she first slept with him and practically dragged him from the party. When she leaned forward at the table dark hazel eyes were raised to meet hers and never left from the intensity of the girls eyes, everything about her was challenging, enough to drive any normal person insane with trying to get through to her but Fred was able to see past all that, at least he thought that he was able to. She asked him how he planned on romancing her and hazel eyes glittered with a playful expression. Where would be the fun in telling you that? He asked. It's the same situation as telling you my back up plan. He uttered. If I were to tell you I would lose my mysterious aura and you could try to play immune to my charms. He teased with a good natured smirk resting on his lips. To tell the truth he really did have a romantic streak, it was just so hidden deep within him and never tapped into because there was no one that stuck around long enough. Now that he had the chance she might be susprised what he was capable of. He did have a feeling that she had no interest in actually knowing what he was talking about though with the way that she kept leaning closer to him, it was addicting and he could not tear his eyes away from her, he was glad that this place was not all too busy because they were not going to be disturbed by the rest of the customers around them and he could at least pretend like they were alone though it was causing him to get just as flustered as it was for her. All his mind was turning back to was the day that she had dragged him along shopping with her and took him into a lingerie store, while it was out of his element and only Mira would be able to get away with doing something like that with him the thought of her in that changeroom of that store just behind that one door was enough to make his pulse quicken and adrenalin spike, after all he was a teenage boy driven by hormones and lust but there was even more to it, there was more to what was between him and Mira and it was one of those things where he wanted to be able to hold onto it with both hands and make sure that it did not slip through his fingers. He had screwed up a lot when he had been in school and he did not want to screw this up with her no matter the cost.
He could barely even recall the last time that he had been to a movie, he usuaully just waited until they were out on DVD so he could watch them in his dorm room since it was a lot more comfortable there, but this was all about the atmosphere tonight, all about it feeling like a date. He rolled his eyes when she commented that she knew that he was wanting to see men stripping in Magic Mike. You forget that I live in a dorm room with two other guys. Being that close to other men is enough for me, I certainly want them to keep their clothes on. He teased and the devious nature shone through in his next comment. Though if it were you stripping it would be a whole other story. He stated with a grin. She suggested the Avengers that really would have been his first choice and there was a small smile that settled on his lips. Sounds good to me. I am not the biggest fan of Batman to begin with. He told her. The other movies really did not sound all that great to him so it was a good choice and one that he knew a little bit about. When their food arrived it was steaming and looked delicious and proved to be as well, Noah did a good job in telling him about this place. It felt right to reach across and lace their fingers together, something that he never thought that he would be doing with her, someone who at one time had appeared to be a sworn enemy. When he mentioned colleges she really did not look that pleased at the subject being brought up and he almost regretted it but he was far too curious about her plans to take it back. She explained that she had not really thought about it and he nodded gently. He did know what it was like to return home even though that was going to be just what he was doing, he knew that it meant a lot more training and a lot events and conferences and that did not mean that he was looking forward to it but he in the same aspect knew that he was going to have to step up to it soon enough and with his parents talking in the way that they were right now he was not even too sure how soon that was going to be in the first place, they had always told him 25 but it seemed like it might be earlier now, something that he did not really want to think about either. I hate the thought of being far away from you. He told her gently. I am on thin ice with my parents after the knee incident so unfortunately for me they are calling the shots and I will be attending University in Zurich. He told her, was it so crazy that he wanted to beg her to come with him, to convince her parents that somehow it was good for Bulgaria politically or just make the entire decision herself. He knew that talking about something like that though was surely to send her running for the hills.

There nothing quite like the feeling of knowing you'd met your match, she decided right then and there. Most other boys would have succumbed to her charms and practically been her slave, but Fred held his own and challenged her constantly. The battle for the upper hand between them had ended when their relationship had evolved, and now it was all about pleasing the other -- mostly, anyways. Mira was still trying to figure herself out, so she wasn't going to let go of all of her needs and wants. And why should she? She was only eighteen -- she had her whole life ahead of her to figure out what she wanted and who she wanted. Right now she wanted Fred and she wanted a shred of normalcy in her whirlwind life, but who knew...maybe in a few years her desires would change as she matured? She didn't like that thought -- the thought of not wanting Fred -- but she didn't want to give herself guidelines to follow when it came to her future, not now anyways. Right at this very moment, she just wanted to be Mira and figure all of this out at the same time, but that was proving difficult, because Mira's personality always conflicted with what was common and considered appropriate and normal. She was, however, glad that things were looking up; she had yet to have a chat with Sergej, but then again, he'd just returned from his stay in Bulgaria, and she knew it was best to give him a night of rest before she barged down his door to finally talk through everything that had happened between them the past five months. Tonight was her time spent with Fred, a night to get away from things for a change. Mira rolled her eyes good-naturedly, her forefinger circling the rim of her cup of tea. "If you wanted me to put on a show, you could have just asked," she teased, a growing smirk on her lips. Things were heating up already -- of course the subject of stripping would cause that -- and she knew she was playing with fire by saying provocative things. Here they were, strictly trying to be two "friends" taking the next step, but their raging teenage hormones could hardly keep them away from each other. Right, this was not going to go as planned, that was for certain. Mira knew this whole front she wanted them to put on wouldn't last much longer, not after tonight. Not when Fred looked that good so dressed up and making suggestive slurs. But, of course, the subject of the future always ruined everything. She hated talking about the future, she hated everything about the future. Everything about Mira was all for the present, all about the now. She was known for her spontaneity and her adrenaline adventures and though she'd settled down a little the past few months, she would always be a wild woman at heart. So, one could imagine how much the future frightened her and made her uneasy. Especially a future that involved Fred. Her eyes narrowed at his comment and she shifted in her seat, her fingers brushing over his knuckles lightly. He'd be all the way in Switzerland next year? That hardly seemed fair. Mira had no desire to be in Bulgaria where she would practically be on lockdown, but Zurich was at least eight hours away from the States, if not more. She had a feeling about where he was going with this, and she sighed, silent for a moment as she thought it all through. Was he secretly asking her to go to Zurich with him, to spend the next four years in Switzerland just so they wouldn't miss each other so dearly? She thought of the many flights they'd have to take to visit each other and cringed at the thought, but she also repelled the idea of following a significant other to university. Wasn't the idea to branch out and become your own person? She wanted to grow with Fred and be there for him and with him, but she didn't want to feel constricted either. She wouldn't know anyone else at the University; all of her friends were probably remaining in the States. "Maybe you could talk to them about it," she suggested, biting down on her lip. "They might understand you wanting to broaden your horizons at another University." tag: fred status: complete outfit: here [/style]

He really did not know what was going to happen between the two of them, were they going to be able to get along in public now that they were out on a date and things were bound to change between them now, were they going to relapse back into not getting along again? He really could not see that happening though since it would take a lot to get him back to the point where he wanted to argue with her rather than get along and actually spend time with her because right now that was on the forefront of his mind and he knew that she was toying with his self restraint. It was never going to change that he was not just going to succumb to her whims and every desire because he really was not the type to be pushed around, while he would do anything in order to keep her happy and do anything for her in order to keep her safe that did not mean that he would ever be the type to be walked all over, he was much too strong willed for that and not even the Bulgarian princess was going to be able to get away with that. It was good for them to realize that fighting for the upper hand was an endless battle and was just going to end in the two of them being so emotionally weary that it was not worth it, it was better for them to just come to terms with the fact that neither of them were ever going to win and be over with it. They tended to be a lot better off when they were getting along because no one at all wanted to be caught in the cross fires of the two of them when a battle happened. He was more than respectful of her needing to figure things out for herself, he really needed to figure out a lot himself yet those were things that were not going to happen for a long time. Not until he eventually took the throne of Switzerland because his main concerns were going to be how the people of Switzerland were going to react to him and the way that he was going to handle it. For the rest of his life at least he did feel a little more settled now that he was trying to make a few ammends before he graduated and then planning on going to University. He was already pretty set on going to Zurich even though he had applied elsewhere since he knew that it was something that was going to make his parents happy and he really did want to be close to them and the home country that he was going to be ruling one day, one day that was appearing not to be that far away. He did not want to think of that right now though so he really did not know why he even brought the future up since it was not something that was going to be easy for either of them to talk about. The year was nearly ending and that meant that end of this chapter of their lives, the end of attending Vineheart something that they had all thought about from the moment that they walked through those doors the first time and yet never thought that the day was going to come. It was going to be something bitter sweet for him depending on what eventually happened with Mira, he really was truthful when he told her that he could not stand the thought about being halfway across the world from her.
She commented that he should talk to them and they might understand him wanting to broaden his horizons at another university and broad shoulders were raised in a shrug. I suppose they might but I am not too sure if thats what I want anymore. He uttered. A lot of my life I have been ignoring the fact that I am going to rule Switzerland at some point; with the way they are talking a lot sooner than expected and I have almost decided that going to school in my home country might be the right way to proceed. A year ago I would have said no way and wanted to be as far away as possible but now I am not so sure. He told her. He knew that it really did not sound a lot like himself but maybe this was him starting to mature even if the old Fred was always still going to be right below the surface and just out of reach until something managed to tip him off. He wanted badly to tell her that she would always be welcome to join him in Zurich but he just had a feeling that it would be something that caused her to run the opposite direction. As their food came he politely thanked the watiress as the plates were placed in front of them. The food looke delicious, something else he was going to have to be sure to thank Noah for. No more talk about the future though, theres too much to figure out about the present. What are your plans for the summer? He asked. It was always something that could be brought up at a later date anyways. The food seemed to taste as good as it looked and it was nice to have what seemed like a home cooked meal for once because he was so used to eating at Vineheart and out a lot of the time. It did not take him long to finish the meal and then place the plate back up at the side of the table so that it was out of the way and easier for the waitress to grab when she came back. When she did the bill was paid before he turned to her to extend his hand in her direction, with anyone else it would feel like a foreign gesture that he could never get used to but with Mira there was no doubt he wanted to be close with her no matter what and he was constantly thinking of ways to make sure that happened. Walking back out in the direction of the car.
