He really did not know what he was doing thinking about going to the carnival since there were not too many people that he really wanted to see there. He knew that Arietta was going though so he felt like he needed to be there even though he was sure that if she was around and knew that he was thinking that way that she would have long since told him that he was being ridiculous, that he had the night off and he was free to go where he pleased and that would really not be the Carnival that Vineheart was hosting but who knew maybe he could just be there for a few moments and then slip away to go do something else, like go to the Ice Box or even just back to the dorm room where it was a lot quieter than the hustle and bustle of the grounds that he could already hear from his room. Even though there was no track practice that morning that did not change the fact that he still went out for a jog, he needed to be prepared just in case he was then put in another situation where he needed to run for as long as he had to when Desyx had tripped him. He needed to be fit in order to ensure that he was able to bark out witty comments and be able to jog as well, there was a lot more to it though since he knew that a lot of it was just a stress reliever for him that he needed more than anything, there was always a lot going on in his life and things that he did not feel like he could handle all the time. It was strange to him to never know his mother, and what he learnt about his father was something that never should have been dredged up from the past, it was better off left there and forgotten. He was always going to have the Italian Royals to work for, he was assured of that when he started there and his loyalty proved to be an asset to them, especially since he was the type of guy that did not have a family to go back to and he was not drawn to anything but working for them. How else was he supposed to make enough money to live on and go to the best school possible as well? He knew that his future was going to look bright after being able to attend University as well with Arietta even though he really did not picture himself as anything but her servant in the future. There was no way he wanted to be early for the Carnival since he did not want to spend too much time there and it was already packed, he figured he would wait until the crowds that were all wanting to go right away died down and the sun started to go down since that was when you were meant to attend a carnival in the first place in his mind, there was nothing like the atmosphere of something like that when it got dark. There was only one other time that he could think of that he had been to a fair like this and that had been when he had been living in Italy and his friends from elementary school decided that they wanted to see one of the festivals there and he remembered it as being quite overwhelming at the time.
Summer seemed like it was right around the corner which meant that it was going to be his last year at Vineheart soon enough next year and then it was off to wherever the princess chose to go to school. It seemed like a lot of Royals tended to want to stick to schools in the US even though it was kind of strange since they would be ruling their own respective countries when the time came when they were older. It just did not make a whole lot of sense to him because he knew that if he had the choice he would want to go back to where he knew and grew up all his life and where he could be closer to his family if he had one. With him though it was different since there was nothing left for him to go back to besides the fact that he knew and he loved Italy. Stepping into the shower the hot water ran along tense muscles that were sore from his job earlier and the fact that he had made himself run a lot further than he intended. After the shower and with a towel around his waist he picked out a button up light blue shirt to be shrugged over broad shoulders and a pair of black dress pants since he wanted to look appropriate and the night was not warm enough to be wearing shorts as of yet, it was not too far off until summer would hit with full force but the night air still did have a bit of a bite to it when the sun sunk below the horizon line and out of sight until the morning. After slipping into shoes he hesitantly made his way down into the front lawn area after locking the dorm room door behind him, it had long since been vacated by the girls that he had an ajoining room next to. They would all be down at the Carnival already on all the rides and the games that were set up. The whole place looked like it was transformed almost into a circus and even he was not able to escape the fact that the place was mesmerizing. He really did not know where he was going to go first or what he wanted to face first but he still there for a moment looking the place over possibly looking like a deer in the headlights.
