Even though the clouds and weatherman had threatend rain all day, Aisling needed to escape the walls of her dorm for a while. She had texted everyone she could think of trying to see if anyone would want to do something. Most of them were too tired or busy with whatever it was they did during the day. The princess sent her sister a quick text telling her she was going out. Being too impatient to wait for a reply, Ais had resorted to jumping in her car and taking off for the afternoon alone.
Rexford was beautiful, even when the sky was darkend by grey clouds and snow still covered the ground in patches. Even though she liked it here in Montana, Ais couldn't help but miss her home. Ireland had everything from beaches to the best entertainment to parks. As she thought about the various parks around the palace, the princess was reminded of an easier time. Her childhood had been easy and the hardest decision she had ever had to make was which dress she wanted to wear that day. Now as a young adult life was throwing a curveball that was painful. Stefan was in an arragned marriage. The thought sent a fresh wave of anxiety through Aisling's body. Her feelings for the Swiss prince were a lot deeper than she had thought and her heart panged for him every time she thought about the news. Without realizing where she was going, Ais had driven herself straight to a park. A smirk crossed her face when she pulled into the lot and parked.
Getting out of the car she looked around for a moment. Now that she was here a walk didn't sound too bad and there weren't many others around. Before starting on her walk, Ais stopped at the little cart that was selling various items and bought a cup of coffee. She wasn't all that thirsty but the hot cup would keep her hands warm against the cold breeze that was picking up.
Starting along the path that wound it's way through the park, Aisling sipped on her coffee and scanned her surroundings. The grass was trying to poke up through the thin layer of snow that covered it and the tree branches were coated in melting icicles. Even in the cold, it was a peaceful place to come and think. People jogged by and she watched as a few younger guys played catch.
As she walked along further, Ais came across a rather comfortable looking bench and took a seat. She pulled her coat closer around her and sipped at her coffee some more while she enjoyed the tranquility of her surroundings.
