BITTER. hello. this is vera. you and her are probably not friends. why? because vera isn't good at making friends. backstory: hungary and ukraine erupted into war when vera was a young girl. this forever changed her -- she used to be mischevious, lovable, if a little tactless. but since the war began and her country has begun to break down into shambles and her parents are never there, vera has had to take over as the "leader" of the family and protect everyone, as her twin sister -- the eldest -- cannot. the war has rendered her angry, bitter, and extremely unfriendly, warding off anyone that even thinks about coming close. she'll do anything for her family and the few friends she has -- anything. she doesn't give a damn about anyone else except them and she's selfish enough to only think of them. she also has a tendency to be protective of the weak; its an involuntary trigger that she can't help. it's something she's always done since protecting their eldest, insecure sister and the youngest brother. but she cares and she's genuine about it, which is surprising considering her cool personality. APP FOR MORE INFO ON WHY SHE IS THE WAY SHE IS friends: few, and i mean very few. one has to really break through her shell to become friends with her, and not just a smile and a joke can do that. she doesn't really like talking to others and prefers her solitude unless in the company of her family, so if you want to be her friend, you'll have to have something special enough about you that intrigues her. if you are her friend, then consider yourself lucky, because she'll truly care about you. she is capable of smiling and laughing, obviously, and when you break through that shell she can be cool to hangout with, maybe even a little fun. enemies: many. most people tend to be put off by her negative, cold personality and write her off as crazy. if you get into a fight with her she won't back down and when she hits, she hits hard. she'll fight tooth and nail for those she cares about and if you hurt them, you can be damned she'll hurt you. also, she bitterly hates the hungarian royals due to the war -- and despises vineheart simply because the hungarian princess is around and has more support than the ukrainians do. lovers: vera has never been kissed, never been touched, never anything. she doesn't even flirt -- she's far too tactless for that. i want her to be involved in a pretty fun, interesting love plot and i may put up a wanted ad for that, but love is kind of something vera doesn't think about. she has never had a crush on anyone before, so even that doesn't count.

oh gosh i have been waiting on her to get accepted! haha, so julianna and vera's middle brother are ultimately going to be finals. i'm going out on a limb and saying vera will hate that - it's just another reason to hate her ultimately. but enemies these two, definitely. i'm not sure if you want them to ever get along in the end or not, that's entirely up to you. any other thoughts for these two?

VERA & JULIANNA,

Oh, yes, definitely enemies! Julianna is the main reason Vera despises Vineheart so much. She hates that -- because of the contract between all of the countries -- the royals of Ukraine and Hungary have to attend school together. She'll largely ignore Julianna, though her loathing of her will be rather obvious, but when Julianna and Arasmis end up together she'll be furious. I don't think she'll ever truly accept Julianna. She may come to mildly respect her, but she'll tolerate being in her presence just so her brother won't be unhappy. For now, though, it's safe to say she hates her. The war between Hungary and the Ukraine isn't really the royals' faults anyways -- I put in my history that it was the rebels that initiated the war after at least a 50-year gap of mild settling between the two countries. Vera is so hateful of it all because, and no one knows this, she was in the downtown of the capital of Ukraine when the bomb exploded, and her bodyguard had just barely gotten her out and back to the palace before things went chaotic. She saw the people die and the screams and cries and everything, and that deeply affected her. Her parents think she was at the palace during that time, but that's a secret between her and her bodyguard that no one will ever know.

So, down to the nitty gritty: Vera will not openly be harsh or even start a fight with Julianna unless instigated, and were they to ever get into a fight, she could get violent. If ever Julianna were to mess with her family, she'd hunt her down, but otherwise that, the most she'd ever do is glare at her or ignore her. Thoughts?

Aramis and Vera

Hello sister!!! I have to say that I'm super excited when I read Vera's app. I can picture these two being quite close, though Aramis will try to avoid her sometimes because he is used to the sweet and lovely Vera, who she once was when they were younger so he will be... afraid of how she is now. However, he will be very protective of her, maybe over-protective?! I can see how awkward it will be when he falls for the Hungarian princess who is particularly the Ukrainian royals' enemy. He will try to talk to his sister about it because he does not really think lying to her can help him with the situation. And definitely he will be ready to suffer everything. Currently nothing actually happens so I hope they can get along well sometimes?

VERA & ARAMIS,

Very close! Vera loves her family so much its almost painful, and she'll do just about anything for them. I think it would be hilarious for Vera and Aramis to be equally protective of each other, and I'm sure Vera will always want to know where he is and what he is up to, which might get irritating for him once he starts falling for Julianna. She will not be happy when he starts dating Julianna; in fact, she'll be furious and probably won't talk to him for a little bit, at least not in the extent that she usually does. She may come to accept Julianna but she'll never truly like her just because she's been so damaged by the war. But yes, I think they can get along well currently...she's not so bad when she's around her siblings. In fact, she's rather passive and far less cold and agressive than she normally is. She can laugh and smile around her siblings because she loves them, and with Aramis' personality, he can probably bring out some parts of the old Vera that was there before they were eight and the war began.

Awesome! I think Aramis will be quite irritated when his sister keeps babysitting him and being involved too much in his life. Currently he will not mind, in fact he will be pleased because he truly appreciates her care. I can picture him trying to do everything to make her happy, including some antics and teasing. If any guys dare to have their eyes on her, they will have to deal with Aramis first before they can go flirting or do anything similar to Vera, just to make sure that she cannot be harmed by any jerks, lol. And if any of them dare to break her heart, he will definitely give that one a happy happy extra-holiday in the hospital with a bruised eye. xD

Hm. I can see these two starting of as enemies. Zhulma is exceedingly proud and ambitious, if Vera ever stand in her way. Zhulma will try to knock her down. But I'm thinking seeing that Vera is caring and will demonstrate having a heart in some point in time maybe Zhulma will warm up to her, these two may not be close friends. But at least Zhulma can develop some sort of respect towards Vera in the end. I'm not sure, but it's an idea x)

Hmm Vera probably wouldn't talk to Zhulma in the first place simply because she really isn't one to start conversations, but were they to ever be in each other's presence, she would definitely be put off by her pride and would make a point to say something about it. If Zhulma were to ever try and hurt her or her siblings, Vera would fight back tooth and nail, and it wouldn't be a very pretty fight. Were they to ever spend more time in each other's presence, she may come to tolerate Zhulma

So Vera and Charlotte are roommates. Which I think could be very interesting since Charlotte is almost a polar opposite of Vera. Charlotte is very talkative and such. I could see Charlotte trying to break through Vera's shell. I'm guessing Vera might get annoyed with her. Any thoughts?

I think Vera would, at first, completely dislike Charlotte because she's so different from her and so talkative. However, she would come to appreciate her friendliness and even become a bit protective of her. Future friends for sure!

Hmm, I like that idea. A mutual dislike, but nothing either of them would act upon unless they felt it was necessary. Guess I can forget all of the "oh my gosh you're my sister in law, let's bond" business . If Jules ever did find out about what Vera went through, she'd probably feel sorry for her and I know that's not something Vera would enjoy. Jules probably won't be as catty with Vera as she is with Amis, not that they would ever have a conversation, but she wouldn't want to give her anymore of a reason to dislike her. Deep down, she really wants everyone to like her and she hates being disliked, but when it comes to the Ukrainian royals, that can't really be helped because of the war.
