Features
overall, darko doesn't stand out too much in a crowd. but of course, like everyone else, he's got some distinguishing features. first off, he's pretty tiny. he's 5'2" if he stands up completely straight, which he usually doesn't. he also has snakebites, which are pretty noticeable right away. the other thing that makes him stand out are his eyes. they are blue, and very at that. they stand out quite contrastingly against his fair skin tone and dark hair too.

Likes
- writing; darko loves any kind of writing. whether it's creating stories, just writing about his life, or doing reports. he just loves any kind of thing that includes writing really. he does it very often too, it's uncommon to see him without a notebook or something like that.
- being outside; on most days, unless it's raining or snowing of course, you can find darko outside. he'd much rather hang out outside all day than be locked up inside. he finds it more relaxing and usually more fun to be outside than it is indoors.
- travelling; darko finds travelling and learning about other places extremely interesting. he loves going to foreign places and learning about the things and people there. he finds it incredibly interesting, and just fun, to see new things.
- candy; darko certainly has a sweet tooth, and he likes pretty much any kind of sweet possible. he's constantly eating candy it seems. any kind of candy is really alright with him usually.
- running; although he's usually not much of an athlete, darko does like to run. whether it's competitively or just for fun, he does it a lot in his spare time. it doesn't bore him like other sports do, which is why he likes it.
Dislikes
- math; math has never come easily to darko, and he just doesn't find it very intriguing. he tends to do worse in that class than all his others, and he just doesn't like it all around.
- sports; aside from track and field, darko really doesn't like sports. he finds most of them confusing, and actually pretty boring. plus, he's always kind of worried about getting seriously hurt, although he'd never actually admit that.
- birds; for some reason, alth0ugh he's not actually sure why, darko just doesn't like birds. of course, plenty of people love hearing their singing and all, but he finds it kind of annoying after a while. especially when they wake him up early in the morning with all their noise.
- waking up early; sleeping late is much more preferable to him rather than waking up early. he'd also much rather be awake during the night than during the day, which is why he also hates waking up very early.
- being judged; darko absolutely hates being judged by other people. he knows that it will always happen, but he still hates it. he sees no real point in judging other people normally.

Personality
hyper* darko is very energetic, and seems to have boundless energy. he loves talking to people, about anything really. he finds relaxing to be actually very boring, and would much rather be doing something else. it's very rare that people actually see darko just sitting around, not doing anything at all. to him, that's basically the most boring thing you could ever be doing. he always wants to be doing something, and even when nothing is actually going on, he'd rather just be walking compared to sitting somewhere watching t.v. or anything like that. even when he is, it still seems like he's bouncing around or something, not wanting to stay still.
opinionated* darko loves to talk to anyone usually too. and he almost always has something to say about what they're talking about, no matter what the subject actually is. and although at times he probably shouldn't, darko always voices his opinion. he never bothers thinking about the consequences and just wants to say what he thinks most of the time. of course, this sometimes doesn't turn out very good, but he never thinks about until afterwards. some would say that this is pretty irresponsible of him, since he should think about what he says and all, but he just doesn't really care. he just wants his opinion out there.
stubborn* darko is also extremely stubborn. this is also good at some times, but can be pretty bad at others. when he wants to do something, he wants to do it, and won't let anyone change his mind. because of this, he also has no problems standing up for himself most of the time. it's very rare that darko will let other people change his mind, unless he's really close to them. but for the most part, what he thinks and does is very set in stone. he doesn't really care much about arguments either. he's not afraid of them, and he'll stick with what he thinks until it's over. for the most part, he not very easy to persuade or anything like that at all.

History
on march 13th, very early in the morning, at almost six to be exact, darko silvester of slovakia was born. luckily, he was born healthy, and they were able to take him home as soon as possible. he grew up healthily, looking up to his older brother, constantly following him around and wanting to do whatever he did. they became very close, inseparable even. to this day, darko is still very close to his brother. he's still his best friend, and he tells him things he wouldn't normally tell anyone else. darko went to school at home until he was old enough to come to vineheart. as soon as he was able to though, his father sent him to the school. he was actually pretty excited to go too, since everyone else in his family had gone there. darko had always been a bit of a troublemaker at home, and that certainly didn't change once he got to school.
he continued to stir up trouble, but nothing ever too serious. he didn't want to be kicked out or anything, just enough to have some fun. it was around the time when he was here in his first year that he really realized he was gay. he never had any interest in girls, not romantically at least. but he did in guys. he realized that this might be slightly scandalous, so he didn't tell anyone for a while. but after a few weeks, he finally told his family, and eventually at some point after that, he told other people too. at this point, he's pretty open about it.
over time, he also became a lot more outgoing, which caused a few problems with his parents sometimes. since he was so very opinionated, it could obviously cause some friction with people at times. so he tended to get in trouble pretty often then too. but he figured that this year, it'd be a little better. not so much drama and trouble, hopefully.
