Play By Alex Pettyfer
Hair Color ranging from light brown to dark blonde, and usually in a ruffled, messy style. When he is lazy, he’ll let it grow out a bit, and sometimes he is forced to have it cropped or buzzed, but most of the time he prefers it ruffled, because it makes him look sexy.
Eyes A mixture of green and blue, sometimes twinkling with laughter and other times clouded with mystery.
Height A decent 5’11, admittedly he is not as tall as the rest of the Kings but he isn’t exactly small. He’s only eighteen, so it’s expected he’ll grow to a taller height in the next few years. The muscle he has acquired from sports and personal training definitely adds to his figure, so he can be rather imposing despite not being over six feet tall.
FeaturesIt’s hard not to remember his face after you’ve passed him by. With cool, mysterious eyes and a sexy, strong jaw line, he’s not exactly forgettable. He’s incredibly handsome, that much is evident, but then again so are half of the royals at Vineheart. However, the one thing that makes him stand out from the rest is his definite devil-may-care mysterious persona – when he flashes that infamous devious grin, you won’t forget it. Since he prefers the outdoors, his skin is always a little tan, though this could also just be characteristic of his heritage. His ruffled hair, chin most often lined with stubble, and confident swagger all make up for the fact that no one really knows that much about him; they only know what they think they know.

Personality
pensive* out of all of the kings of vineheart, romeo is the most perceptive and thoughtful of the lot. when you look at him and see his devious smile, you would never guess that underneath it all he knows more than he lets on. he sees the world in a different light, and he knows there is something way better out there than where they are now. not to say that he hates his life, because he absolutely loves the luxurious lifestyle he is living – the boy cannot deny a party – but he is more intelligent than people give him credit for, and he’s rather good at things he does. the world sees him as this witty, fun-loving party boy but in reality he knows so many little facts about life and politics it would astound anyone. being this way has allowed romeo to pick up on body language very quickly, and it’s one of his strong points. he can look at just about anyone and tell whether their thoughts betray what they’re saying simply by the way they stand or the aversion of the eyes. he is not afraid to call someone out on bullshit, either, so if he thinks someone is lying he will act upon it.
irresponsible* just because he’s a deep thinker and knows what’s right and wrong doesn’t mean he is going to do the right thing. more often than not, romeo is the one to initiate a party or getting into trouble, despite knowing the consequences. he knows they are all more than intelligent enough to get themselves out of trouble, so he has no qualms for getting into trouble in the first place. his devil-may-care attitude is what is most appealing about him, and he could probably get away with murder if allowed. he knows that if he gets himself into too big of a mess, his friends will be there to help clean it up, so he tends to be pretty apathetic in that area. he makes plenty of mistakes, especially when heavily induced with alcohol, and so that’s why he never really gets plastered all that often. after cheating on his ex-girlfriend, Aubrey of Belgium, he knows that many girls don’t think he is a faithful boyfriend, but he really isn’t a bad guy.
charismatic and alluring* like the rest of the Kings, romeo has an astounding charm to him. his smile and devilish good looks certainly could get him anywhere in life, but it’s his wit and laughter that usually do the trick. he has a tendency to make anyone feel comfortable around him with just one smile, and he knows it is easy to trust him. he isn’t afraid to talk to anyone in any social setting, and revels in the attention he receives, which can come off at arrogant at times, though because he is so likeable, it’s hard to stay angry at him for very long.
persistent* this boy does not take no for an answer. as confident as he is, romeo will stop at nothing to get someone to do what he wants, and usually he gets it. he finds it amusing that most girls wilt at his touch, but he finds himself more attracted to the girls that have a bit of mystery to them, because he enjoys the challenge. he is not afraid to call out someone’s bluff, and if this means arguing with them, then so be it. he stands up for his friends and for what he believes in, and though his persistence can get irritating at times, this only amuses him more.
honest* romeo is not a mean guy. he has no hidden agenda when it comes to getting to know someone and though his smile is always a bit wicked and mischievous, he is not devious in this sense that he will backstab you. in fact, he rarely backstabs anyone, and is more often than not loyal to the grave (except for that one special time when he broke a certain girl’s heart). if he thinks something needs to be said, he will not beat around the bush and he won’t sit there and play puzzle games with you. he can play cat and mouse as easily as anyone else, but he prefers not too, since in his book honesty is the best policy, even if it means having to hurt the ones you love.
Who I Once Was

Parents King Othello and Queen Zenona of Greece
Siblings Lucan Dante and Ravenna Salena
Cousins Cousins to the Grecian royal family
HistoryA year and a half after the first Italian prince was born, Othello and Zenona were blessed with another healthy baby boy. It was a rather clear, nice October night, and Zenona, entranced as she was by the play of Romeo and Juliet, decided to name her new little boy after the lead character. It would become a fitting name for the prince in later years.
As he grew, it became evident to the young Romeo that he would never garner the same attention as his elder brother did. Being second in line meant he was the awkward middle child – his older brother was ushered about like a prize jewel, and his young sister was, despite being left behind at times, still considered a baby and was doted upon by the nannies. Romeo understood that his younger sister was independent, and that she resented their older brother, and he held somewhat of the same mindset – he just handled it in a different way than closing himself off from others.
Instead, as he grew, Romeo delved into getting into trouble, simply because he could. He enjoyed making the nannies and royal guards chase after him and he enjoyed being a bit of a handful, but whenever he would go into “hiding”, he would actually find himself in the vast royal library, the last place anyone in the palace would ever dare look for him. In the library, Romeo immersed himself into interesting books that held facts about history, life, and the beginning of time. In a few short years he knew more than his brother probably ever could; though he never let this on because he pretended he was too busy being a mischievous preteen. Not to say that Romeo was neglected, because he was not; he usually got what he wanted when he asked for it, and his parents were generally easygoing with him for all the trouble he was worth. He just never received the same respect and attention Lucan did.
By the time he was off at Vineheart, Romeo was itching for something to do. It wasn’t until he met the rest of the Kings of Vineheart that he found his true calling – being best friends with the group of five boys. Each boy was different from the other, but it was what brought them together, and brought them closer. Two years passed and Romeo was at the age that he had discovered just how beautiful girls could really be. At sixteen, he was quite handsome himself, and with his charming, devilish personality he easily fit into the social scene, chatting up any and every princess. One definitely caught his eye, however, and that was the Belgian princess, Aubrey – she was high-maintenance and a complete bitch, but he found that intriguing, and so he pursued her. Finally, a few months into their third year, the two began to date, and it was a whirlwind of a romance. She was surprisingly fun, incredibly sarcastic, and he liked that she wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself.
However, being a teenager and a royal one at that meant he had access to many illegal things he shouldn’t, and so Romeo began to pick up smoking and drinking. Though he preferred the art of smoking cigarettes, he liked the buzz alcohol gave him, and towards the end of third year he got himself into quite a pickle. After a rowdy night out at the Ice Box, Romeo returned back to his dorm room with a random girl in tow and slept with her, too drunk to think straight. It wasn’t until the next morning that everything went to shit – Romeo had forgotten to keep the door unlocked, and so Aubrey had walked right on in to find Romeo asleep next to a naked stranger. Betrayed and outraged, the Belgian princess broke up with him and told the entire school of his infidelity. For the last short months of the school year, girls tended to avoid Romeo, but once fourth year began, he was mostly forgiven, though Aubrey had never forgotten the ordeal.
Things during fourth year weren’t much better when it came to Aubrey, however. Any chance the girl could, she would throw him nasty looks, though he tended to ignore them. He wanted to apologize – had tried many times – but she’d pushed him away, still disgusted with him. He was even a bit disgusted with himself, which was why he decided to never ever let himself get so drunk to where he could not control his actions. This caused him to covet smoking more than anything else, and though some of his friends didn’t like that he smoked, they learned to just not say anything about it. Fourth year passed on by, and a Kings protégée, Romeo was readying himself to take a spot as an official King the following year. He was determined to be a better King of Vineheart than Lucan could ever be, and so he could not wait.
It wasn’t until the end of fourth year that everything blew up once more. In early March, he received a letter from his parents informing him that they had decided to have him partake in an arranged marriage, but not just with anyone – he was arranged to be married to Aubrey, of all people. Romeo was furious. How the hell was he going to marry a girl that hated his guts? He didn’t even want to marry her anyways – and he definitely didn’t like being told what to do in his life. Not to mention that he’d only recently found out that his servant had been seeing Aubrey behind his back, another thing that had pissed him off, because honesty was very important to Romeo. He did everything he could to convince his parents to call off the arranged marriage, but they refused, saying it was what was best for him.
Over the summer, he was forced to spend many weeks in Belgium and the Belgian family. He didn’t mind the youngest Belgian prince so much, but it was having to be stuck around Aubrey and his servant hamming it up that made Romeo want to puke. He had long since forgiven his servant, but the fact of the matter remained that Aubrey still loathed him – he didn’t like her all that much either – and neither had come up with a good enough plan to get them out of the marriage. Now into his final year at Vineheart, Romeo will do just about anything to find a way out of the horrible ordeal, but in the meantime he is more than ready to live it up with his close friends.
