MARKUS ALEKSI OF FINLAND[/font]

eighteen. 5th year. 2nd in line. single.

Ignored by his parents and broken after the murder of the love of his life, Markus has quickly become a rather distant and resentful young man. To put it bluntly, he is probably the meanest guy around. Plain and simple, he’s a total asshole. Not liked by almost the entire student body, he’s known as a bully. He’s that guy you see pushing first years into their lockers if he doesn’t like look they just gave him. He acts very impulsively, and the rest of the students are the ones who feel his mistakes. His anger is more of a subtle emotion that drives all of his actions. Sure, he’s known to take it out on others, but his bursts of rage are controlled to those he truly cannot stand, even if that may be half of the student body. Despite his awful temper, Markus is insanely intelligent. Probably far too intelligent for his own good. In every day conversation, which you’re probably lucky if you don’t have with him, this is evident through his sarcastically witty remarks he uses to insult you. Using his smarts to manipulate people to do his will has been one of Markus’ finest talents since he was a boy. He’s the type who can seemingly persuade anyone to do absolutely anything for him, whether it’s through blackmail or pure pressure. Despite his horrific outward personality, deep down, Markus is quite the romantic. He’s old fashioned, and gentlemanly, but almost no one has ever seen this side of him. It’s deeply buried, and takes a certain type of person to bring this out, though it sure wouldn’t be an easy task.

enemies! >>> pretty much everybody hates him. no, seriously. he’s a total jerk. and, if you don’t hate him, he’s bound to hate you, so almost everyone will fall into this category.

a friend. >>> no one can be completely and utterly alone, so markus here probably needs at least one friend. it’s pretty unlikely that he’ll have many, if even two here, but just one could be fun. no one too close, but someone he cares about and is protective over like a brother.

love? >>> although i’m not ready to assign him a final right off the bat, i’m totally open to plots in this department. i’m warning you already, i’m going to be very picky because it would take just the right kind of girl to attract his attention, and it’s not going to be an easy task to break his exterior personality. oh, and he has a thing for blondes.

SOFIA ALEKSANDRA OF ESTONIA[/font]

Meet Sofie. Sweet, innocent, naive, bubbly, and vivacious are the words that come to mind when one first encounters the young Estonian princess. Born and raised in Estonia, she’s never much been out of the country, or even out of her castle. It’s her first year here at Vineheart, and she intends to make the most of it. Though she might not know much about the world, Sofie is quite a clever and resourceful girl. She was raised to think logically, though her over active imagination often gets in the way of that. Since she grew up extraordinarily isolated from the rest of the globe, Sofie is very naive. She tends to always assume the best in people, which can work very much to her disadvantage. But, of course, Sofie’s naiveté leads her to be a sweet and kind creature, wanting only the best for everyone, unless you’ve done her wrong. She’s quite the little optimist, which attracts quite the good feeling while you’re around Sofie, which immediately draws people in. Her natural optimism causes a fun bubblyness in Sofie that may drive some insane, but also leads her to be an immediately likable, sweet person. She tries to remain perpetually cheerful, though sometimes this can be rather difficult. Her bubblyness is party to keep her own self cheerful, and often, it works rather well.

This right here is Professor Blake, otherwise known as Amelia, or Mia, if you wish. Amelia has known she was going to be in the art world since practically the moment she was born, and has loved every second of her studies of art history. One day in the far future, she’d love to be a director of a wold famous museum, but for now, she’s totally content to be teaching here at Vineheart. Amelia graduated top of her class at Columbia University in New York, but she actually grew up in London, England. She’s a pretty shy person when you first meet her, but once you get her to open up, she’s actually quite adventurous and spirited. She’s very determined when it comes to her personal goals, which can tend to make her a bit headstrong, but it’s really only because she’s so passionate about her field. She’s been here at Vineheart for about a year now, and she’s absolutely loved it, especially working with the kids. It’s been a great distraction from her own personal life, which is sort of a complete mess. Her perfect fiancee broke her heart when he practically disappeared off the face of the earth, breaking things off with her forever through a note left on her bedside table. It’s been quite an ordeal getting over him, but now, she’s happy to have a fresh start.

Princess Vivien has always been the second in command here at Vineheart for as long as she could remember. Though the title of first was always snagged by her best friend, Aubrey, Vivien was happy to take a back seat, because she’s always had her sights on a more important crown: the English one.Though she is an enjoyable person to be around, she can get extremely jealous of others; especially if they are better than her in a something she excels in. She thinks rather highly of herself, so don't push her off her high-horse. Vivien is extremely loyal, and tries to help her friends out, though often her helping them messes up their lives a bit. She is a very picky about her friends, and is extremely judgmental, but once you get on her good side, it's very hard to change that. Vivien has been spoiled all her life, so she wants what she wants, when she wants it; nothing less, and nothing more. Sometimes this leads her into trouble, and she can become whiny and needy. She’s judgmental and a bit stuck up, and the crown is everything to her, so she must keep up appearances, meaning, no socializing with the riff-raff, so she’s not likely to be seen hanging around the servants. As for love, this is where it gets more complicated. She was completely and utterly single for her entire Vineheart career, and had never had any interest in this department, that is, until a certain kiss from the Prince of Spain threw all that away. Only one problem: he’s heir to his own throne, and, engaged to her sister. Now, the whole school has just found out Dante and Vivien have been sleeping together, and everyone’s choosing sides. Her entire perfectly planned out world is crashing around her, and she’s unsure where to go from here.

SOFIA & & BRYNJA

so they're roommates, and I'm pretty sure we decided that Bryn's going to sort of 'recruit' her for the queens. the two girls are very different, so they could really go either way. Bryn would defintely boss Sofia around and take advantage of her naivety for her own personal gain, and of course take advantage of the fact that Sofe's new and doesn't know much of the school. Bryn would probably get annoyed with Sofie's optimism, since she's basically a cynic and a realist. seeing as Sofia's going to be one of the protegees, I don't see Bryn being particularly mean or bitchy to her, especially when she wants to get on her good side. whether Sofia takes well to her is up to you, but I can see Sofia sort of growing on Bryn after a while. when Bryn deems her worthy, however, she'll stop at nothing to protect Sofie and keep her as happy as possible; she's quite affectionate and caring to those she believes deserves it. sofia could totally be the karen to bryn's regina george

I'm not sure they'd really interact, Ana likes her little circle and would only really reach out to Sofia if she ever needed help with something. she doesn't really leave her comfort zone and meet new people; she's very shy and reserved

uhm... Atticus teaches ethics and sociology, so if she takes any of those classes, he'll know her. otherwise, I don't really see much for these two, unless she's struggling with his classes because she just started here, he wouldn't pay her any special attention.

I honestly have no idea if they'd know each other. he's already graduated and she just started, so I have nothing. if you have any ideas though, let me know.

they're in the same year and have a few mutual friends, so friends by association? Ana would respect her, but wouldn't make any efforts to get closer to her. she isn't a big fan of the whole 'queens' thing either, so I'm not entirely sure. Ana is, on the other hand, sort of building an odd relationship with Viktor at the moment, meaning that Vivien might not be too much of a fan of hers, or like her more for it, or whatever xD

VIVIEN & & BRYNJA

Bryn's a protegee of the queens, and she's seriously banking on the Head Queen spot next year. I can see her being nice to Viv, just to get on her good side. they're actually kind of similar; both spoiled, judgemental, stuck-up but still fairly enjoyable to be around when in the right light. I'm not sure if Vivien would like her much, and they may clash on a few things from time to time.

They still are friends, because it would be kind of sad if they were family and they weren't friends. So! Friends?

didn't really pay much attention to her little sister, just because

beginning to completely change focus since she's been with dante,
it's made her realize that she never really paid much attention to
her little sister, and maybe that they should try and become closer

oh no problem! okay so it's totally up to you who she sided with
durring this sort of long, ongoing separation of the two, or if she remained
neutral! you can read about the whole thing in their histories if you want,
since it's kinda too long and complicated to type out again haha xD
but it's definitely dying down, because vivien is slowly starting to realize how
much she's missed her sister, and that she's actually not as irresponsible
anymore as she thought. eventually, the two will become friends again, but
that won't be for another few months (: so yeah, totally up to you!

Aura is servant to Grayson Izaak of Germany. She's stubborn and sarcastic and is reckless. She throws herself at guys looking for a relationship that can sate her daddy issues. Usually these relationships end up being only sexual and end quickly. So I'm not sure if you want to do anything with her.

Viv & Aura
I feel like Aura would strongly dislike her because of how spoiled Viv is. Aura grew up on the streets and was forced to face the real world at a young age, so she'd most likely disapprove of her. Thoughts?

ahahaha YAY enemies for viv! yeah, viv and servants usually are
not too fond of one another. actually, to put it in more likely terms, vivien
usually completely forgets servants even exist. she doesn't treat them on
the same level as she does her peers, so she usually just ignores them unless
she needs them for something. so enemies totally works!
