Personality
Bold* From a young age, Bentley was described as fearless. Generally, all young ones pass this stage and get a bit more sense yet it was never the same for him. He had never been modest in any sense, not one to get embarrassed. He was born to rule, not to hide in the shadows because of some flaw. There's nothing to hide, or so he believes of himself with the exception of one mishap.
Arrogant* A common characteristic of many young male royals. What is there not to be proud of? After taking your first breath and being the eldest, you automatically have a throne reserved for you. And even later, everything is practically handed to you. Bentley has embraced this trait to the fullest, never having had to work for a dime.Ah the life fit for a king, he would have it no other way.
Clever* When it comes to the books, this prince may not be the most intelligent however he does not give effort. There's no point now, is there? However, when it comes to the opposite sex he prefers to be quite canny. He has fun with pointless games, enjoying those who are oblivious to what he is saying but go along with it as though nothing is wrong. On occasion, the French prince has been fairly crude which later lead to punishment when his protagonists figure out what he had said.

History
It was the date of October 7, 1994 that Bentley Girard was born, the specific time being 4:17 in the morning. Being the first in the latest French generation, it was then that he was given right to the throne as first in line. From there, his life was very easy as many servants of the family waited on him hand and foot from a young age. This had a major affect on the Bentley known today, the attention being fed to him at that time only creating the pompous male from the beginning. He has been one of the royals to let the throne get to his head but he has a constant fear of losing it due to his parent's tolerance of his not so accidental mistakes.
When the French Prince was about five, he started watching the French guard with interest, more intently the cavalry. At his request, his father agreed with full support that he would later on become a part of this grand troop. By this time, there had already been a colt chosen for him and it was in the dawn of it's two year old year. The horse was sent into training the following year and a retired mare was the beginning horse for the young Bentley. When Zariel, his gelding, returned from training the duo turned out to be dynamic in several disciplines.He had regular riding lessons and was not allowed to take part in the guard practice until he was fifteen, this being discussed and only allowed because he was royalty. Now the horse is still a major part of his life as they have continued to test themselves and excel with different dressage tests and maneuvers.
Everyone has skeletons in the closet, do they not? Well Bentley most definitely does and here is his biggest. Several months ago, the future engagement for the French prince had been announced. This had been arranged by his parents to some princess whose name will be disclosed. From the first time the announcement had been told to him, he had resented and refused to believe it despite the headlines it had caused. One night when a rather intoxicated prince came home, something happened and he had woken up to the screaming of his fiance due to the sight of a maid in the same bed as he. Soon after, the proposal was revoked and said princess stepped down from her throne not much later. As we are all aware, "I'm sorry" never covers everything....Now it is rumored that the reason for the prince's enrollment at Vineheart is to seek out another royal proposal.
