Let's start with a quick family historyEmperor Bejirou and Empress Momoko (Japanese Noble)
PB: Jun Matsumoto (Bejirou) and Yukie Nakama (Momoko)
To put it simply Bejirou was a brat growing up. Add the fact that he was the only heir to the thrown of Japan he was a spoiled brat growing up. He was arrogant, full of himself, cocky, egotistical, conceited...you name it. He didn't take his responsibilities seriously which did worry his parents. Then when it came to the ladies it didn't help that he had a number of girls throwing themselves at him for his favor. That wasn't exactly good for his ego. Then that changed when he met a certain female noble named Momoko who didn't buy into his personality. Despite the fact that he had girls who would have taken him as he was, for whatever reason he found himself drawn to this girl who believed that he was better than who he was. It was one of those "wanting what you can't have." Bejirou just wanted to be able to say that he had won her over and nothing more. He liked a challenge. Bejirou assumed that the only way to win her favor was to at least make her think he changed, acting as if he actually took his responsibilities and studies seriously. The crazy thing was that he actually did find himself taking everything more seriously. The things he took for granted became some of the most important. He had begun to change into the better man that Momoko believed he was. And in the process of Bejirou trying to impress Momoko and Momoko fighting off his advances they fell in love. At 17 Bejirou's father past away and Bejirou ascended to the throne of Japan. As to whom he would marry was not a question to Bejirou. He would only have one person and luckily for him she accepted. Momoko, 17, would marry Bejirou and become Empress of Japan.
Thank to Momoko Bejirou's views on how he wished to rule changed drastically. Before he didn't care much and just expected everyone to respect. He realized that the people of Japan didn't love and respect his father just because he was the emperor but because of the kind of emperor he was. He was kind and just and Bejirou hoped to be just like him. One year later they would welcome the first of their four children. They couldn't be happier. Their bliss only grew with the welcome of Kai and the twins. Bejiour loves his family very much and loves each of his children equally and dearly. In recent years his and Momoko's relationship with their youngest son has begun to drift because of the boy's growing rebellious nature. They are not completely sure why but hope that this is simply a phase that will pass with time.
On Reserve:
13/14~Year 1~4th
Possible PB : Kento Nakajima, Yuma Nakayama
So this is Kai's younger brother. He is the youngest son and the youngest child since he was born a couple of minutes after his twin sister. He would be closest to his twin and once upon a time perhaps to his brother as well. This guy is more of the rebellious child. Now Kai loves his siblings and loves having them at Vineheart as well but he knows how hard it is to be away from home and he knows that the separation is hardest on his brother. Kai tries to make as much time for his siblings as he can but one of the things about Kai is that he tries to take on as much responsibilities and have higher expectations on himself that way his younger siblings won't have to. The life of a royal can be tough sometimes when you have high expectations from others and pressure to succeed. Kai would rather take on the burden of that and allow his siblings to have more freedom to enjoy their lives. The problem being that only a few people know this but that doesn't include his siblings.
With that being said Kai tends to have trouble finding time for his siblings between his studies, extra curricular activities and his other responsibilities. To someone who doesn't know Kai's true intentions this be could be misunderstood and seen as simply as that Kai doesn't want to spend time with them and thus cause a rift between the brothers. And also make it seem like Kai simply wants all the attention for himself. This is where his rebellious and brattish nature tends to come out more. Believing that it's the only way to get his brother's attention he'll tend to act out. Not saying that he's a bad boy or anything but you shouldn't let the his sweet face fool you. He can be a feisty thing especially when provoked. Just like in all the siblings family is the most important thing to him even if he isn't on good terms with his brother at the moment.
Aside from that the rest is very much open. For a while these two may not get along very well. He'd respect Kai because he was his older brother but that would be about it. Somewhere down the rode I see these two reconciling. I could also see him becoming a protege/king someday
13/14~Year 1~3rd
Possible PB: Umika Kawashima
This here would be the third child of the family and twin to the below character. Closest to her twin she would be the quiet one out of the four but the more mature twin. Unlike her twin she doesn't believe that Kai is simply blowing them off. She feels there is more to it and tries to play peacemaker. She is definitely daddy's little girl and keeps in touch with her parents as much as possible. She isn't exactly spoiled but she's been very sheltered most of her life which could have left her a naive when it comes to certain things.
18/19 ~Brown Unversity~1st~PB Open
Possible PB (left to right): Karina Nose, Maki Horikta
Here we have the crowned princess of Japan. Born first and although female she is first in line for the throne. She is currently studying at Brown University in Rhode Island. Now she would be 2-3 years older than Kai but I can see them as close. They would have been in school together for two years. She wasn't a Queen because she didn't have time for stuff like that. She will be the first empress to take the throne in a very long time and so she takes that responsibility very seriously. She intends to serve her people with all the respect and grace that her parents have one day. But she isn't all work and no play. She definitely knows how to have a good time and lets loose every now and them. Of course never too much since she wouldn't want to do anything that would bring shame to her family or people.
Aside from that everything else is left to the person who takes her.
