Features Atticus’ good looks are the product of just the right amount of inbreeding somewhere along the line. He’s tall, well-cut, and simply chiselled from marble. He’s got a strong, pronounced jaw line, covered in perfectly kept scruff. His eyes are of the clearest blue and his hair is usually in some sort of organized disarray. Having grown up with a proper noble mother, Atticus has been put into the habit of always dressing properly. Never will he be seen in ripped or tattered clothing, or anything with a stain. During class hours he’s always in a neatly pressed suit, though the jacket may come off during lessons and the sleeves rolled up. He has an air of sophisticated ease about him and maintains the respect by wearing only the best clothing available.

Personality
REFINED Atticus’ family comes from a long line of nobility in France, and so, he grew up in a household that was very oriented towards manners, appearances and proper speech. He is a very cultured man, who has seen quite a bit of the world, and enjoys taking it all in. Not only are his looks polished, but he’s quite the gentleman and enjoys being so. Quite knowledgeable on a wide variety of subjects, Atticus is able to carry out quite profound conversation and enjoys it also.
STUBBORN Although he is able to see things from every different angle, Atticus is quite sure in what he believes in and doesn’t like change. He is very stubborn and never gives up on anything, or anyone for that matter. Despite the fact that ethics is a subject that has to be debated, he has done his part in doing so, and now serves as mediator for his students, able to ask questions from both sides, while in his heart and soul he knows what he believes. Atticus is quite pious and doesn’t like to admit when he’s wrong, which in those cases, he will fight for his cause even if he knows he’s wrong, because he’s just that hard-headed.
SPENDTHRIFT Atticus, coming from old money that never seems to dry out, doesn’t handle cash well and has to be kept on a strict allowance from his wife so he doesn’t go and blow his paycheck on something ridiculous like a fifty year old scotch or an expensive silk-jacket. He has virtually no concept of what it is to want something, and tends to just acquire anything that catches his eye, regardless of the price. He can’t really imagine what it would be like without money, though the question comes up in ethics and sociology quite often, but he can understand a limited budget, he just doesn’t adhere to it.

History In the Île-de-France region of France, in the town of Fontainebleau, not fifty-six kilometres away from Paris, was a manor house that had been standing there for as long as anyone could remember. For the longest time, the old house was shrouded in mystery. Very few people came or went, the gates never opened and overrun with vines. The grass was long past needing a cut and wildflowers popped up here and there. What could have passed as a garden; statues, fountains, landscaping, had long been choked out by the weeds and tall grass that dominated the lawn. At least, that’s what it looked like to outsiders. The family who lived in the house saw it as a natural representation of how little time they spent at home, always gone, usually to Paris, on business. The owner of this manor, Atticus Beaumont III, was a French nobleman and worked mostly out of the city, while the old manor house was left alone, except during small visits and the summer. The commutes were frequent but short, the family only staying for few days at a time. This was the environment that Atticus IV grew up in.
It wasn’t a bad place, but he was constantly watched over and buckled down. And so, he became quite the rebellious child, always running around and talking to people who were supposed to be busy. He loved running around and talking to them. Learning different things from all the people who came from every corner of the earth to meet with his father. The only person he didn’t like talking to when they came over was Mémère. She was mean and old, always telling him what to do, pinching his cheeks, and her little dog did not like him at all, and attacked him once for petting him when he was six. He hated her and went to hide whenever she came over. She used to tell him stories about bad children and what happened to them if they disrespected their parents. And besides, she smelled funny. Foolish as it may be, to this day Atticus just can’t get over his fear of her.
Because his father was closely related to the French Royal family, Atticus received only the best education from exceptional tutors and managed to get into Harvard University quite easily after passing his SATs with flying colours. He took quite a few subjects while in school, and happened to have a special agreement with the university that allowed him to travel to different places and take classes from various universities and bringing back information in the form of his Master’s thesis, to the school. By twenty-four he had his bachelor’s in ethics, another in sociology, and a master’s in sociology. Before accepting the teaching position at Vineheart, he returned to France to marry his darling Juliette, an anthropologist he met in Burkina Faso while they were both studying. Though they’re separated most of the time, meeting only during his school holidays when he goes and visits here where she’s conducting studies, or when she stops in at Vineheart to report to the University of Montana where she is based out of, he remains quite faithful to her, not looking at any other women at her. Hopefully, they both settle down soon and begin their family, but he’s willing to wait until she finishes her doctorate.
