Personality
Responsible* Ryo is the oldest of three children. He is a bit of a goofball and sometimes can get himself into a bit of trouble but he is one of the most responsible people you'll meet. When it's time to party he'll party but when its time to crack down and work then work it shall be. When given a task he doesn't rest until it's completed without complaints. He feels better about himself when he has finished what needs to and then gets to have fun.
Fun* Ryo isn't an all work and no play kind of guy. That would certainly make him dull and dull is not a word in his vocabulary. When work and school is completed then it's time to party. He doesn't go crazy though, again the responsible side of him always plays a small factor on that. He likes to dance and sometimes acts a fool but it's all a part of his playful personality.
Appreciative* Ryo is not one to take things for granted. His family has never been rich and famous, they've had to work hard for what they have. That is why Ryo never let himself fall behind in school or get in legal troubles and things like that. If he were to do that how would be showing his parent's that he was very grateful for all they had done for him and his siblings. Even now since in a way his status has changed he doesn't take advantage of that. His new job gives him certain privileges like a higher income in which he is able to help his family.

History
Ryo was born to half Japanese half American father and Chilean mother. He was born on a chilly fall evening in Chile where he has grown up all his life. His family has never been rich. They have always worked hard to make ends meet. Both his parents worked in the palace of Chile as servants. When Ryo was six he became a big brother to a baby girl and boy, twins. He couldn't be happier to be an older brother.
Now Ryo hasn't always been the perfect son but at the same time he isn't a problem child. He's just always has had the need to have fun in his life and be able to enjoy it. That's why he doesn't understand people who are all work and no play. Like a lot of the people who worked in the palace. Now he didn't work in the castle but he spent a lot of time there, making sure to stay out of trouble. That was how he met Antonia, princess of Chile. The two were the same age and didn't exactly start off on the best of terms. Antonia from an early age has always tried to act older and much more mature for her age. In his opinion far too much for her own good. After all they were children. He understood that royals had to act a certain way but at the same time he believed that even the royals should be allowed to act like a child. You could definitely say that he wasn't exactly the best of influences for her.
Their relationship took a change for the better about a year later. It was another day of wondering the castle and keeping to himself when he stumbled upon Antonia and a visiting noble. He knew that it was one of those moments that he should keep his nose out of other people's business but that went out the door when he heard this boy beginning to bring down the princess verbally and Ryo couldn't help but step in in defense of the princess, after all he had seen how hard the princess had been working to be a respectable "woman" and for this boy who knew nothing of Antonia speak wrongly to the princess upset him.
After that encounter the relationship between the two changed for the better. They became close friends and then came the day when Ryo decided to attend Vineheart with Antonia as her servant. He would miss his family but he knew that this was a good opportunity for him.
