Backstory
Before Annalie's father died when she was twelve, her parents had planned on her taking the throne in her late twenties. However, unfortunately her father passed in a plane accident, and things changed. The Royal Council of Sweden decided to let Annalie's mother remain Queen for a while, since it was a rather tragic situation and Annalie was still young, but by Annalie's eighteenth birthday last December, the Council had changed their minds. Queen Delfina is the QUEEN DOWAGER, and now that Annalie is 18, she is eligible to take the throne. Her mother, not wanting her to have the throne at such a young age and wanting her to graduate university first, managed to persuade the Council to wait until Annalie turned 21 to have her coronation.
They agreed on one condition: she must be married by the time she turns 21, the day of her coronation.
What Happens Next?
Annalie was previously in a relationship with Axel Wilhelm of Denmark and had been since the end of fifth year. Since Axel is first in line, and Annalie is first in line (and Annalie has no siblings to take over for her), the two cannot be married. Annalie believed they were going to have to break up, but Axel offeeds to abdicate the throne for her and let his younger sister, Bethany, rule. Annalie, who has always been one to run away from her problems, was frightened by what could happen in their relationship if they didn't break up, and so she refused to let him do that, effectively ending their relationship.
After a month or so, Annalie will run into her old childhood friend and neighboring prince --- --- of ESTONIA who she hasn't seen since she started at Vineheart nearly six years ago. This Estonian prince never attended Vineheart due to his parents not seeing any specific reason to -- as Estonia is a very small country; but wanting to get away from Estonia, he decided to enroll at Stockholm University, since it was the best University that offered what he wanted to major in, and was generally close to him. Her mother pushes her to spend the day with him, since Annalie has been locking herself inside since the breakup, and so she does. She and the Estonian prince have a great time, and catch up. At the end of the day, he asks her out to get some coffee or something, and she hesitantly accepts, thinking why the hell not since she has to be married in two years.
After their coffee date, things get a little tricky. Annalie will be intrigued by him, since she hadn't seen him since they were kids, and so she'll agree to hangout with him some more. The problem arises when she and the Denmark prince begin to reconcile their former friendship, though evidently Annalie is still not over him -- she's just pretending like she is just so he can continue to be in her life, all the while ignoring the fact that she technically could be engaged to him with no problems (she's rather stubborn once she's made a decision). Well, while her friendship with the Denmark prince is rekindling, the Estonian prince is growing feelings for Annalie, and she begins to think that she is returning his feelings. After a month or two of going on little dates, the Estonian prince officially asks her out, and the two begin dating. This slightly strains her returning friendship with the Denmark prince, but not much, since they are pretending they still don't feel something for each other. For a year Annalie and the Estonian prince will date, and yes, part of her will love the Estonian prince.
Around halfway through their sophomore year at Stockholm University, the Estonian prince will propose, knowing Annalie is nearing 21 years old and will need to be married -- and willingly wanting to marry her. She accepts, though part of her feels wrong since she knows she is still in love with the Denmark prince, with whom she has grown close with. The Council is pleased with the proposal, because the Estonian prince is able to abdicate the throne to his younger brother with no problems and no other abdications involved. So, the two begin planning their wedding for that September, a few months before Annalie's 21st birthday in December and subsequent coronation to the throne.
In the end this two WILL NOT BE MARRIED. Annalie will, yes, end up with the Denmark prince and will call off the wedding to the Estonian prince. However, since this is a canon character, you can do what you please with the Estonian prince after their engagement falls through -- he can even have a side love plot while he is engaged to Annalie, if you want.
Other Information
As far as playbys go, I am not picky. I provided Hayden Christensen above just for an idea of what I would probably picture him as, but I'm pretty negotiable when it comes to playbys. For PERSONALITY: I would need him to be rather persistent and confident. He will need to be able to get enough of Annalie's attention to keep going on mini dates with her. I'd like him to be fun and entertaining, but other than that, his personality is up to you.
