DEAR JOURNAL,That woman I call my mother is so atrocious! She really expects me to just give up school and go back home to take the throne from her! Don't even get me started on "Dear Old Dad". He won't stand up to her! He's practically choosing his wife over his first-born child! I can't just give up everything I've worked for just to rule a country. I refuse to give it all up. I don't care if I was born first! To me, that just makes me a very unlucky princess. Don't get me wrong, I love my people, but I do not want to rule them right away. I just can't!

DEAR JOURNAL,Thanks to my fabulous cousin, Sera, I've decided to just ignore my mother until I make up my mind whether to take the throne or not. Since all she's done is badger me about it, I've decided to jump on the "college girl" train and party like crazy. To me, that seems like the perfect stress reliever and I need all the relief I can get right now!
As of the rest of this week and all of next, I have no classes because all of my professors will be out of town at some conference. So, that means I get to leave and go back to Montana to see my brothers and cousins and possibly hit up some shopping excursions. I'm also dying to go to the Ice Box, a local bar/club that the "of age" Vineheart kids frequent. I've never been, but Sera says it will be fun. Maybe I can talk her or Kalli into going with me for a little "girl time". Lord knows we all need it right now.
