It was quite a lovely day for a carnival. Lina was grateful for the break the event was providing from her classes, especially since the weather was so nice. It felt like the teachers were making them all work harder and harder the closer to summer they got. Spring break was just around the corner so it would provide time for some much needed R&R. Lately Emmalina had been too busy to even book time at the spa for a pedicure, and it had gotten to the point of desperation. In order to cover up the atrocious state of her hands she'd painted her nails a deep purple colour, purposely matching her outfit, particularly her shoes.

There were lots of carnival-y noises assaulting her ears as she came through the final set of doors to the outside. She'd made her way down the staircases quite quickly, taking the stairs two at a time and pushing past people in her haste. Maggie had told her to be at the carnival by 4:30 and it was... Lina checked her watch, tripping over a tiny rise in the concrete as she took her eyes off of the path in front of her. It was almost a full three minutes after she'd told her sister she'd meet her but she wasn't really worried. Maggie had the patience of a saint, and probably wasn't in a rush since she'd been running around with Raphael for at least a few hours. Thank goodness he wasn't going to be hanging out with the two of them! Not only was he irritatingly flirtatious with her sister, but Lina just really wanted some solo time with her younger sister.
