The clink of weights hitting each other resonated in the room after every repetition of whatever each person was doing. Nathan laughed with a few of his teammates as they took turns working their arms out on the bench press machine. For some reason they had gotten into a conversation about the WWE and they were poking fun at each other for their lack of bulky muscle. Sure the guys weren’t as huge as the superstars, but Nate knew that he was definitely a lot more muscular than the average sixteen year old. As he finished his last set of repetitions for his track work out, Nate remembered that Des had asked him to take this girl to the carnival. Being the rouge that he was Nate thought nothing of it and willingly accepted simply because he had nothing better planned anyways. The carnival was going to be pretty great; he wasn’t going to lie to himself. The eye candy was going to be plentiful and the weather was supposed to hold up pretty well all night, so it could be said that he was looking forward to the carnival. After a twenty minute run that was meant to be a ‘cool down’, Nathan left his teammates with a smile and headed straight for his dorm. Once he got there he lounged around for a little while a caught up on his reading assignments for various classes before heading off to shower. After all, he couldn’t go meet his date looking and smelling the way he did. He allotted an extra five minutes to stand in the warm spray enjoying what it did to his muscles. Nate toweled off and dressed before heading back to his room. His gaze met the clock and he nodded to himself when he noticed the time. The prince grabbed his phone and key and set them in his pockets as he stepped out the door and headed towards the dorm room that Des had given him.
When he arrived he glanced at his phone and smirked when he noticed he was exactly on time. It seemed like he had a knack for doing that. Nathan shot a text to Des telling her that he was doing as he promised and joking about his being on time. He shoved his phone back in his pocket and then knocked on the door. Leaning against the door jam momentarily he looked down the hallway with a curious gaze before pushing off. Now he was curious as to who Des had set him up with, not that it really mattered since he was willing to go out with any girl anyways. That was the type of guy he was and he did really well for himself.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/w6MZf.png);] hey! is anybody out there Blind date. Those words were not in Deme’s vocabulary. The word date wasn’t even in there! So when Des approached her and told her that she had set her up on a blind date at the carnival Deme could have strangled her. She was ok without dating. She wasn’t like her sister. She didn’t need boys fawning after her. She had her books and her writing. That was all she truly needed to be happy. She knew she had to go through with it. Des had already set her up and she couldn’t back out now. Des was giving her no information on the boy whatsoever though. She just knew what time he was coming to get her and they were going to the carnival. Of course Des had showed up before the date to dress Deme up. She somehow ended up in a skirt and heels with a million pounds of jewelry and even more makeup. She thanked her sister when she left, but as soon as the door closed she was already tearing it all off. She scrubbed her face raw and washed her hair so all of the sticky product was out of it. If she was going to be in an uncomfortable situation she was at least going to wear what she wanted. She figured she would look somewhat presentable though. So she didn’t go for a graphic tee and shorts. No she at least wore one of those soft shirts that she referred once to as a blanket shirt because they were so snuggly, jeans and some gladiators. She at least she looked fine. And if the guy didn’t like it well she could care less because she didn’t ask for this.
Deme was sitting on the couch happily writing. She needed to calm down. This was just some silly date with some boy. She was going to be fine. Deep down she was freaking out. Deme didn’t do well with others so how was she supposed to handle a blind date? Why did her sister do this to her? Leave it to Des to go out of her way to do something that Deme had not asked for. Deme heard the knock on the door and sighed. She put her writing away, straightened out her shirt and went to open the door. When she saw who was standing behind the door she had to do everything she could not to let her jaw drop. It was that Nathan boy from the café. Out of the hundreds of boys at this school her sister had hand-picked this known player to take her baby sister out on a blind date. She was going to kill her. At least Deme knew she wouldn’t have a problem speaking. The stupid boy somehow did something weird to her that made her want to combat everything he said. She didn’t know why, it just happened. She exited her room, closing the door behind her, in no way wanting to let him in. ‘Shall we go?’ She had a bad feeling this was going to be a long night and not in a good way. words: 524 - tags: nathan - outfit: link |
