A tattoo on the back of his right shoulder from when he was affiliated with a gang back in Mexico.

Personality
Leader* Ric is a natural born leader, perhaps it was the fact that he had been raised and treated like one from the time that he was born but people just tend to flock to him when they need someone to lead them. He is very charismatic and people seem to love that about him. In the times of darkness they are the person that they would look to and that is something that cannot just be taught. He loves to help people and he is rather selfless so therefore this is a good combination for someone that is going to rule a country at one point. He was always the person in school that would stand up for what he believed in and did not even hesitate when needing to give a public speech so from a young age he has been speaking for dinner parties and his mother and father are getting the public used to him being the one to stand in front of them and be able to give a proper speech and now he thinks nothing of it when a lot of other people would be terrified to be under the scrutiny.
Secretive* He is not the type to really talk a lot about himself so therefore when it comes to knowing a lot about him he tends to be rather secretive though it is not that he is really trying to keep it from people it is simply because people tend not to ask and that might not be a bad thing since every person has a few chips on their shoulders and a few skeletons in their closet and he definitely falls into this category. His parents ended up paying witnesses off to make sure that the secret never came out even though at the time it is not something that is really the worst thing a royal has done.
Polite* He is rather old fashioned when it comes to his manners, he is rather chivalrous believing that all girls should be treated like princesses and this is probably why he is quite popular with the opposite gender. Always the type to open car doors, pull out chairs at restaurants, and make sure that he is the one that orders last he is quite a gentleman and all the classes that his mother made him take as a young boy seemed to pay off.
Serious* Ever since the incident with the gang and getting a taste of the real reality of Mexico and how much it needs to change he has always been a little more serious than he had been before. It was a large eye opener to him and something that he does not regret because if anything it made him more aware of what was going on. A lot of other Royals do not have the same opportunities to get in touch with the underground problems of their country but he is one of the few that managed to escape alive. While his parents were beyond furious about it happening even now that they know it was a mistake they realize it was a valuable but terrifying experience for him that is ultimately going to make him a better ruler.

History
Ric was born as the first son of the King of Mexico and his mother who was from Brazil on a particularly nice night in November, characteristic of Mexico November is a very nice time of the year, and it is not too hot and definitely not cold. He was a born leader, a very quiet and respectful baby and his mother’s prized son. While he was obviously born into a wealthy family he was not handed everything he worked hard for the things that he achieved but naturally was provided with everything that he needed and more but his father always prided himself on raising Ric in a little different of a fashion than the rest of the Royals that turned out to be spoiled brats. He was always very athletic and started in sports from a young age trying his hand at most of them before a few of them managed to stick. He turned out to get serious about track and field and his favorite being sprinting as soccer since that is a large past time in Mexico. Some of the other sports that he tried out were swimming which he did not end up liking, golf which was not enough of an adrenaline rush, football, and baseball.
From a young age he always had an interest in working on cars so this was what he did with the little spare time that he managed to have. Instead of accepting a car to work on from his father he worked at the local auto shop to finally raise enough money to buy his own project car. But what he did not know was that the shop was notorious for being a chop shop not only to smuggle drugs but also to deal in stolen cars and this was where his problems started. Getting in too deep, one of the guys asked him to do them a favor by dropping off a car at a certain location that was just an add-on from his normal duties he performed and he thought nothing of it until he arrived to be greeted by a very shady character offering to keep him alive in exchange for servitude in one of the local gangs. Of course they would have their eyes on the crown prince of Mexico he would be a large bargaining chip. He convinced himself that this was a one-time thing and that he would be completely uninvolved by the time that he left but it turned out to be quite the opposite as he was dragged deeper and deeper into their clutches.
Now even there is an unexplained tattoo on the back of the man’s right shoulder a permanent reminder. Of course he did not want to tell his parents so he tried his best to deal with it himself until he realized that it was not going to happen and his parents dealt with it. This was one of the reasons that he was originally sent to Vineheart to make sure that the whole situation was to die down while he was gone but the school had always been on his parents list for him to attend.
