It’s that time of year students; we will be holding the Rose Ball once again. Do remember that the rose ball is only for current students, our graduates may join in the dance if they are chaperoning or are escorting a current student. As tradition states, the female students will be giving the male students roses and vice versa. To be more specific the female students will be pinning the rose on the lapel (if they are wearing one) of the male student’s jacket and the males will be giving the girls a single rose. We will be using the traditional four colors that we use every year, if you have forgotten what each color means below you fill find the meanings.

The Colors

Red roses represent love, Yellow roses represent friendship, White roses represent family, Pink roses are for those people who attend alone.

Some of the chaperones will be handing out the pink roses to those students who chose to attend the ball alone, or in groups. As always the dress code will be formal try and avoid dresses that are too short because this is a school sanctioned event. The Ball will begin at seven pm on Saturday, May 12, and will end at midnight. Remember to keep everything appropriate because there will be chaperones and anyone who acts inappropriately will be reprimanded. Have fun and enjoy the event. Don’t forget to nominate six people (from year 1 to year 5) for the Rose Ball Court.

This event will be lasting three weeks beginning Monday September 2, ending September 23. This will give you all enough time to finish out whatever plots you have planned for this event. For individual plots you may have your own threads in the rose ball sub board that way we don't all have to post in one thread. As for the Rose Ball court, it will consist of six characters that can vary in years, so it doesn’t necessarily have to be all fifth years. It’s actually encouraged to have younger people in the court. If you wish to nominate your character for the court let us know in a post below, but it is preferred if you nominate other people. You will nominate two people, one male and one female. Feel free to post it here or send me a PM. The voting will go as follows; the six characters (3 males and 3 females) with the most votes will end up being part of the court. The two with the most votes will be king and queen, and that’s the pattern for both prince, princess, duke and duchess. A week before the event is set to end, there will be an “official announcement” in the general event thread to let everyone know who won.
