Tristan walked the hall of the palace of Bulgaria. He was on his way to Sergej's room. They had arrived in Bulgaria the night before. Sergej hadn't packed a lot but Tristan figured considering they had arrived rather late that Sergej's things were still packed and so he was going to the young prince's room to put them away for now. It was afternoon time in Bulgaria so he assumed that Sergej would be out which Tristan didn't mind since it meant he could avoid the usual 'I can do it' from Sergej.
The trip had been rather sudden. One minute Tristan had been finishing his homework for the next day and then next Sergej was telling him that he was going to Bulgaria. It had come as a bit of a surprise Tristan but it was one that he had gotten over quickly. His next question had been when so that he could get some of his things together. Of course Sergej had insisted that Tristan didn't need to go with him. As if Tristan would really be able to stay at Vineheart without worrying about Sergej, especially after Sergej explained why he was coming back. Tristan would have returned regardless of the reason but still, Tristan was concerned for Sergej and so told him that he was coming. Besides a week was going to kill him. Tristan was doing well enough that he could afford it and just make it up when they returned. It was no big deal, at least in his eyes.
When he finally reached the door to Sergej's room he opened it softly and peaked in. There were only to female servants inside who changing the linen to Sergej's room. He crept in quietly and closed the doors silently. They had yet to noticed him. "You think the rumor is true? As to why the Prince returned without his siblings?" this was when Tristan made his presence known. "I'm pretty sure you're not getting paid to gossip about your employers." he said with a stern voice and glare which definitely quieted the two women. "Leave. I'll take care of the rest." They both nodded and were quickly scurrying out the door. When the door closed behind him he let out a sigh. Being a the personal servant to one of the royals gave him a bit of authority over some of the other and younger servants which he normally didn't use but at a time like this he was grateful for it. When he had recomposed himself he quickly finished fixing the bed and then began to unpack Sergej's suitcase.

--- two can keep a secret --- ** if one of them is dead ** It had been a red-eye flight, mostly because it had been a last resort. And Sergej hadn't wanted to use any flight earlier, because that would mean more passengers and probably more paparazzi. He didn't need those right now. It was going to be difficult enough as it were. He hadn't thought about consequences really, before or after punching Fred. It had just felt … RIGHT, at the time. Even though when Pirzi'd told him, she'd been the first to say he should take it easy. He just hadn't listened. And then of course, news got out to his parents. Now that one had been a blast. It hadn't been his mother who'd called, initially, but he'd seen his father's ID, and knew it was over. Well, figuratively speaking. Mladen had been … decent enough, but he did want to know what the hell his oldest son was thinking, and demanded that he fly out to Bulgaria so they could talk. And then of course Brona got to the phone and that one had bee neven worse, because his mother hadn't been as calm as his father AT ALL. That one had been such that he'd left the phone and went into the bathroom and he could still hear her. Scary, really, but it had gotten him thinking. And he'd told his parents that he would fly home the moment classes were over on Friday, and then stay indefinitely so he could figure things out.
Thing was, he was losing himself to his anger. He was constantly angry, ALL the time nowadays. Except with Pirzi, and even then it was dormant, not exactly null. He didn't want that. He didn't like it. He felt like he was a ticking time bomb, and even Pirzi had mentioned that she felt he was constantly under some sort of stress. And he didn't even know half of why he felt like he did. It was driving him up the wall just thinking that. So he had made arrangements and a couple of calls, and went in search of Tristan to give him the news. Initially, he hadn't really planned for the other boy to go with him. He thought Tristan would want to stay at school, especially with how studious he was, but was more than pleasantly surprised when Tristan had adamantly refused to stay behind and just packed his things right then and there. It was a touching gesture, and Sergej would never forget it. He needed someone with him to be his support system right now, really, and Pirzi couldn't come. He wouldn't want her to see him at his lowest point anyway. He needed to do something with himself, and get back to her as soon as possible. He ran a hand through his hair as he left his father's study, where he'd just been talking about the possibilities he'd chosen, and how long he'd stay, and he was glad that Brona was away on a charity trip around Sofia or something. Talking to his father was a lot easier without his mother involved. They could actually talk in peace and make some sort of arrangement, unlike otherwise. He sauntered sulenly back towards his rooms, because he would be meeting with the therapist after lunch and he wanted to hole in for a little bit. Two serving girls passed him but he ignored them, and slipped into his rooms quietly enough, though he immediately knew Tristan was there. His shoes were all neatly stacked. Tristan, I'm too big for you to unpack my suitcase anymore, he commented as he made his way to his bedroom, where he did in fact find his servant pulling his clothes out.

Before opening the suitcase Tristan let out a yawn. He was a bit tired. They had taken the red eye to Serbia. About a little over a nine hour flight. They didn't get to the palace until evening, just in time for dinner. After that they had the rest of the night to rest up. Surprisingly Tristan was still feeling a bit tired. He had slept on the plane and got a good night's sleep but was still feeling a little tired. He just needed to keep moving and keeping himself busy. The trip had been completely unexpected and he was grateful that he had enough time to pack. At least Sergej had waited to leave on a Friday after classes. It had really been a surprise to Tristan and Sergej had almost literally left without it.
Tristan had been finishing up his homework when Sergej came in to tell him that he was going to be leaving to Bulgaria that very night. Once Tristan had gotten over the initial shock he closed up his book and grabbed his suitcase, getting some things together for the trip. Then it had been his turned to surprise Sergej. Tristan was definitely the type of person that took his studies very seriously but when Sergej had said he'd be leaving for Bulgaria for the foreseeable future it had not even crossed his mind the possibility of him staying. He would have been far worse staying and worrying about Sergej. When Sergej began to say that Tristan didn't have to come he had quickly dismissed the thought. Tristan knew that Sergej hadn't exactly been himself lately, especially after punching Fred. If time away from Vineheart to recollect himself was what Sergej needed then Tristan would be alongside him instead of trying and failing to focus in Vineheart. His place was beside Sergej if it be Vineheart or Serbia, he would be there to support the prince. Tristan knew that Pirzi would have loved to be able to help Sergej but for now at least Tristan would have to take up the task.
Tristan walked inside of Sergej's closet to grab some hangers. Tristan had hoped to have had the suitcase emptied before Sergej came back to his room but sadly that was not to be. As he was pulling out the clothes he heard the door open and the familiar foots of the eldest prince. "I'm not doing this for your. I'm doing it for my own benefit. This way I make sure I'm not playing the matching game later." he said with a playful tone. They hadn't packed a lot of stuff. Even though Tristan didn't know how long they'd be staying they had enough clothes and things here in Bulgaria that didn't have to pack up their entire rooms to come. So Tristan quickly grabbed some hangers and put Sergej's clothes away in his closet before the prince could protest. This entire time Tristan had yet to actually ask for the reason for Sergej's return. When the prince had originally announced he was coming back to Bulgaria he had merely said that there was some things that he needed to take care of and Tristan had left at that, he didn't feel like he needed to know the reason since he was coming with Sergej regardless. It wasn't like knowing the reason was going to make him change his mind about coming. If Sergej were to tell him then great but Tristan would not be sticking himself where he didn't belong. He would go about his normal duties without question. "I have your favorite being made for lunch. I thought you might want to eat in your room but if not I can have it sent elsewhere." Tristan announced as he opened the windows to allow some air to enter the room. "Have you told Pirzi that you were coming home for a while?"

--- two can keep a secret --- ** if one of them is dead ** Trust Tristan to always have a reply ready. Sergej shook his head and wondered whether or not anyone who'd ever had a servant could be prepared for all the mothering that came along with it. Truth be told he liked it most of the time, though not when he was snippy or when he was feeling out of place. He liked doing things for himself, but all the same, he didn't think anyone would really believe him if he told them that. Except Pirzi really, but she was an exception. And well, maybe her brother. Xavier was someone Sergej thought he could relate to, but he sometimes wished he was more like him. The German prince never seemed phased by anything, and he definitely never ran around punching people. He was the one who got punched, but at the same time, he retaliated in a different way. Sergej still remembered the time when the French prince had thrown a punch at X, and then it all ended with Bentley being kicked out of the Kings, without a second thought. Yeah … that was quite possibly one other thing waiting for him, if Fred decided on that. Hehad every right to too, but Sergej didn't know how well he would take it. Especially since Dante was just returned from Spain. It seemed like a lot of the princes were taking trips to their homelands right now, which was odd if you thought about it, but hey, first things' first.
Heh, I know, he commented, plopping down into one of the settees in the main area, I'm just pointing out the obvious again, as usual. Don't mind me. He turned his head towards the nearest window, watching the rain fall outside. It was a downpour now, even though it had started as a drizzle really. The weather was perfect to match his sour mood right now, specially since he had neither his girlfriend nor his older sister with him. He would even have been happy for Andrei right now, but hey, things were as they were, and there was nothing he could do about it really. So he sighed and shook his head at himself, before looking back at Tristan. No, I'll eat here. I'm meeting with the therapist after lunch so I really don't want to show my face around for a while. He was definitely in a bad mood. Did I tell you why we came home in the first place? he asked, mildly curious, because he couldn't remember. It was all kind of a blur before landing in Sofia in the middle of the night. That had been one of the saddest moments in his life really, with only a car waiting for the both of them. Usually when any of the kids came home, one of the parents would be there too, probably the Queen. This time, it was no one. Sigh. And yeah, I told her … wish she could be here, but mom and dad forbade anyone except you really. I can't even communicate with Mira or Andrei right now either. It was self-imposed exile with an additional twist plastered onto it, and well, Sergej was close to hating it already, but he couldn't help it. He needed to accept the consequences of his actions, he guessed, though it seemed a bit extreme to him. But oh well, he would follow what his parents told him and be good for once. He didn't need any additional trouble right now, he was in deep enough as it were and he really didn't think it would do him much good to fight. He needed to stay as calm as possible, with all the anger right underneath the surface. It would be interesting, to say the least.

Tristan and Sergej's relationship hadn't exactly started out the greatest. Tristan had come to work in the palace at thirteen. It wouldn't be until later that he would be assigned to be the servant to Sergej which would lead him to going to Vineheart. Now they hadn't become fast friends or anything. At point Tristan didn't really trust anyone, especially adults and didn't let people in. Eventually over time Sergej became one of the few to actually be able to pass Tristan's walls and in the process they had formed a sort of friendship instead of just the just usual servant-royal relationship. It had even surprised Tristan but eventually he found himself not being so on guard when he was around Sergej. It was unusual at first but eventually with time he got used to it and now here they were. They had gotten to a point where Tristan didn't always have to worry about being careful about what he said. He could say sarcastic remarks without fear of Sergej taking it the wrong way. They just clicked.
He looked at Sergej with a bit of a concerned looked when he spoke and fell onto the bed. Tristan had noticed that Sergej just hadn't been himself for a while now and to be honest it did kind of worry him but he didn't feel it was best to ask Sergej about it. Something he had learned about Sergej was that if Tristan needed to know or if he felt that telling Tristan could help he would. Aside from that Tristan normally didn't ask because he didn't want to look nosy or anything. Tristan wasn't one for gossip or anything so he normally just stayed in the background and came forward when he was needed but that didn't mean he didn't noticed things and at the moment he noticed how much the Bulgarian prince was not himself and to seemed to be completely out of it a lot of the time. He was concerned not as a servant but as a friend. Tristan just nodded his head when Sergej agreed to lunch in his room. Tristan just went back to putting Sergej's clothes away when the prince again. Tristan just shook his head. "No you didn't but then again I didn't ask. You said you were coming to Bulgaria and I said I was coming with you. It was at simple as that." he said in a soft voice. Tristan never expected explanations from Sergej. If he was asked to do something he would do it or in this case he took it upon himself but he didn't question why Sergej was returning to Bulgaria since Tristan knew it had to be important so he didn't question it.
"Maybe it's for the best right now. At least until you're able to get back to your old self. I'm sure you wouldn't want Pirzi to see you like this right now." he said reassuringly. "Maybe a little time away from everything and everyone will be good for you."

--- two can keep a secret --- ** if one of them is dead ** Sergej was actually pretty glad he had someone like Tristan on his side, because it made everything so much easier. He didn’t know what he would have done otherwise, with anyone else, and besides, they probably wouldn’t have clicked as well as they had. There was just something about the other guy that ahd drawn Sergej in instantly, making him trust him. And it was a good thing now, because he knew Tristan trusted him too, so it was a mutual feeling, and they worked better as a team than they did apart, although Tristan was definitely the self-sufficient one most of the time. Sergej still needed a little bit of growing up to do on that account. But he was getting there, slowly and steadily, both with Tristan’s help, and with Pirzi’s. They were both doing things to him that would eventually shape him into a better person, not that they did it consciously. They were just there when he needed them, and they never shied away from helping him if he asked. There was all the difference in the world with a willing helping hand and between that and Mira, who would always make sure the other person knew he was in her depth now, for who knows how long. He sighed at the thought, shaking his had to kick it out. He didn’t need to think about that right now.
He looked in Tristan’s direction from the bed. Yeah, and I’m still grateful to you for that one, he told him sincerely, before leaning back again and sighing, It’s about me punching Fred really. That one was still bugging him, but then he HAD sort of apologized to the guy. Sure everyone was probably expecting a proper apology, but that was all Fred was ever going to get, he was sure of it. No matter how many therapists they made him see, there was absolutely no way in hell that he’d be the one to make that big of a step. After all, he still held Fred and Mira responsible for the disaster that had been hidden for so long, but hey, he was getting better at accepting it. They were together now apparently, and so that meant he couldn’t kick up many more fusses. He would just swallow the pill and be done with it. Actually, if he thought about it, he was in awe that someone else could really stand his sister for long enough to actually get together with her. Mira was a piece of work at best. And he was rather surprised that Fred had stuck around, then again, he seemed to be just on the right boat and frequency, and Mira liked him. That ought to have been enough. Sergej sighed. Mom and dad found out about it and they called me in to see a therapist because I have anger management issues, he spoke again, and I have to give it to them, I do. I haven’t felt myself in a while. I’m constantly mad at someone or something. It wasn’t healthy, and it certainly wasn’t fair ti Pirzi, who always did all she could to make him feel better. Yeah, I know. And I really don’t want her to see how this is getting to me, either, he confessed, before rolling over and climbing up so he could prop himself against the head of the bed, I just miss her, but that’s normal, right? Sergej shook his head at himself and ran a hand across his face. I might be cranky while we’re here, just a warning. I doubt I’ll like the therapy sessions. It was only fair to warn Tristan about this, he would be the one who had to deal with Sergej’s crap most of the time anyway.

Tristan could very much recall their first days as servant and boss. Tristan had still very much been in his phase where he didn't trust anyone, he had still been very cautious around Leo despite the fact that the older man had taken him in. The only reason he had shown the man any gratitude was because he had been given a home even though he was still getting used to the idea. No more stealing and running away, at least not unless he wanted to give up daily meals and a warm bed. This had earned Leo some trust, it had only been Tristan's cautious nature that kept him from completely opening up to his new guardian. Sergej had been a different story. This wasn't just anyone, this was a royal. Any respect Tristan had for Sergej had been based on that fact. Over time Tristan had come to learn the prince's personality, which was definitely the opposite of his own but they managed. Even then though Tristan had yet to really open up to the Bulgarian. He did as he was told and nothing else. He was around when needed. Everyone who knew them could definitely say that it had been Sergej who had been the one to truly break the wall that Tristan had set for himself. It wasn't something that had been done overnight, it had definitely taken him a long time but eventually Tristan had eventually begun to lower his walls and allow himself to form a friendship with his royal. Before he even knew it he had grown to trust the young man he served and was actually happy for once in his life.
Now they were here, friends and sometimes Tristan had to play tamer to Sergej to get him to grow up some. He knew it to be in Sergej's nature which clashed with Tristan's personality. Tristan had been forced into a situation where he had to grow up quickly and thus didn't get to experience the child like innocence that Sergej had and still somewhat maintained. Although it wasn't a quick process he believed a bit of his maturity was rubbing off on the Bulgarian prince every now and then but Sergej still had a ways to go. That's why he was thankful for Pirzi because he truly believed that the German princess was a good influence on Sergej, despite what his sister my believed. He smirked at Sergej's comment. "Did you honestly think I would have been fine staying at Vineheart while you were off dealing with your own problems here. Believe me, focusing would not have been an easy task. Besides, my place is by your side, at Vineheart or Bulgaria." he said with sincerity but not looking at Sergej directly. Tristan wasn't really good with sentimental or mushy stuff. Of course he wasn't surprised by the reasons to their return. To be honest he was expecting it. Yes, he had been somewhat surprised when Sergej had told him that he had actually punched the Swiss prince, even more so when he had been told the reason for it. He had thought that Mira had been a bit of a hypocrite at that point but he kept his mouth shut. "I think it'd be odd if you didn't." he said thoughtfully. He just smirked at Sergej's warning. "I've known you at your best and worse by now. Don't worry about me." he said in a reassuringly voice. "Besides, I haven't exactly known for people to enjoy therapy all the time. I think it comes with the territory. You don't have to like it. You just have to go." that was when there was a knock on the door. Tristan went over to open it and found another servant with Sergej's lunch. Tristan took the tray, closed the door and set the tray down on the table in Sergej's room. "Figured your favorite could help ease your anxiety a bit." he said in a hopeful tone.

--- two can keep a secret --- ** if one of them is dead ** Sergej didn’t know the entire story behind how Tristan came to the palace and to serve him. Really, he didn’t think he even needed to. The point was that he was now here, with him, and they seemed to be inseparable enough. Of course Sergej knew that prying into someone’s history wasn’t the answer, but when Tristan had been introduced to him, well, he’d gotten the feeling that in all honesty, the boy wasn’t too keen on talking to him. He just stood there and did what he was told, that was about it. It had taken Sergej a long time to get through the initial barriers and slip through to who Tristan really was. But he didn’t regret any of the trouble he’d had to go through because Tristan was one of his best friends now, and they had a mutual understanding of one another. He also knew that if anyone ever did anything to potentially hurt the other guy, Sergej would go ballistic. No one messed with someone he cared about, sibling, friend or significant other, and no one messed with someone as good as Tristan. Sergej was definitely going to make sure the guy had everything he wanted, which seemed to be little enough. He was keen on studying and he was keen on serving him, but other than that, try as he might, Sergej could never get Tristan to do anything else, or to catch him doing anything else. It was impossible really. He was beginning to think he had a semi-robot for a servant.
He eyed Tristan from his position on the bed, thinking through his answer carefully. Well, you could’ve. I mean, I honestly wouldn’t have minded. You don’t have to tail me ALL the time, and this is my mess anyway. I shouldn’t have to deprive you of anything, and I know how much you like classes. Which was like day to Sergej’s night. Sergej didn’t particularly enjoy school, but then neither had Mira at one point. He didn’t know at this moment. Andrei was the only one of the three of them who went to class without a fuss. Always. For Sergej though, it meant a lot that Tristan would want to go wherever he went. Thanks, he said sincerely, a bit gruffly. Neither of the boys was good with the whole emotional process when it came to one another, but they dealt with it in their own fashion. He rolled his eyes and ignored the next words, before laughing, Yeah you do, don’t you? I swear you’ve probably seen me in a thousand moodswings. You should make an album of them, I’m pretty sure it’d fill up quickly. He shook his head and sighed as he lay back against the bed. Yeah, no, I won’t like therapy. Haven’t heard of anyone who really does either. So I’m not looking forward to it, but the way I see it, it’s supposed to do me good ... right? Given Tristan was the mature one, he was pretty sure there would be a good, solid answer waiting. The door was knocked on suddenly, and Sergej sat up to see whether he’d be needed, but Tristan returned soon enough with a tray, and the smell of food made Sergej’s stomach rumble lightly. He grinned, It’s perfect – but oh lord they put enough on here for five people. He eyed the tray and wondered whether he would be confided to his room for a week and this was the only meal he’d get. Help me? he said, looking at his servant with a comically lost expression. The meals at the palace were always huge, but never like this. Sergej was starting to wonder what the cook had been told about why precisely he’d come home. Good grief.

Were they best buddies? No, far from it. They had just been able to come to a sort of understanding that allowed them to form a decent friendship. Then again maybe it was their rough start that made it possible to have the relationship they have now. No one could say that they could have seen Tristan becoming who he was when he first showed up in the palace. They probably thought he'd be some boring, cold person that went around isolating himself. If he was being honest with himself then they would probably be right. Back when he was much younger he was definitely the robotic type. Quietly standing in the corner until he was called upon, not talking and keeping to himself. He was trying to make friends, he was so shut off from the world that he didn't know how even if he wanted to. He never had any reason to have those kinds of skills, not when he was running from city to city trying to survive. The last thing he wanted was friends. Friends were a liability when he always had to be moving around. Friends required you to attack yourself to someone and care. That wasn't something he could afford when he never stayed in the same place for long. Why was he about to form a relationship with anyone if he would be leaving never to see them again. Wasn't that asking for heartache and he didn't have time for that crap. Trusting people made it easy to get used and that was not something he would allowed.
Of course things were different when he came to the palace. Although it really wasn't needed his walls had been raised higher than ever. Yes, he had a roof over his head and a very different life but for Tristan that only caused him to be guarded of himself even more. He didn't go talking to the kids his own age, when he was told to do something he simply nodded and got on with his work. It was simple. Aside from that he kept to himself. Things of course didn't change right away when he was assigned to Sergej. If anything he became even more guarded. This was different after all. This wasn't just him working in the kitchens or helping his guardian Leo out in the gardens. He was working directly for the prince. Considering the ravish lifestyle, it wasn't difficult for Tristan to instantly think of Sergej with traits such as being bossy or spoiled or just plain wretched. Growing up with people waiting on you hand and foot it wasn't impossible for a person to behave like that. So instead of allowing himself to be annoyed by this he had no expectations of Sergej and would act very stoic to the prince. So of course it did surprise Tristan some when he was very much proven wrong. It was only a matter of time before Sergej was able to bring Tristan out of his shell long enough to get to know him. It was a long process that Sergej showed a lot of patience when it came to Tristan. Of course Tristan wasn't an open book. He was very secretive when it came to things about his past but that was something that Sergej never pushed for which was why he held so much respect for the prince.
Yes, Tristan could be a boring person. This definitely clashed with Sergej's more outgoing personality. He knew that many of the other servants meshed well with their royals where Tristan was definitely the opposite but they made it work. Tristan did try to break his bubble a bit everyday but it had been a bubble that had kept himself protected for so long that it was definitely not an easy thing. "What purpose do I have if you're not around? Besides, if I stayed that would mean that I would be stuck with your sister. Would you really have condemned me to that. One interrogation was bad enough." he said, muttering the last part. He hadn't told Sergej about the little meeting he had with Mira when Sergej hadn't been there because he was out for a tournament. This had happen just a few days ago. He didn't want to add anymore stress or tension between the siblings. Tristan knew that Sergej could be protective of the people he cared about and Tristan fell under that category and Tristan didn't want to cause more problems between Mira and Sergej. "Believe me, I feel much safer here away from her wrath." he said. Of course this was mostly a cover as to the truth. Although he had said it early but he wasn't sure how much Sergej would believe him. In truth Tristan would be too worried about Sergej to really be able to focus on school. Not saying that his work would really suffer but not knowing was not something Tristan liked. "That would be good for a laugh wouldn't" Tristan knew that this wasn't an easy time. So if he could he'd try to lighten the mood some.
Tristan had to think about his response. "Well, there wouldn't be therapy if it didn't work. It doesn't hurt to give it a try at least. It may turn out to be more helpful than you think." he said thoughtfully. He of course did notice that the kitchen had sent what looked like a giant feast when he had just ordered for Sergej alone. Were they trying to say something? Was this meant to be comfort food or something? Tristan was thinking that maybe it would be best to take care of Sergej's meals himself if they were going to be pulling stunts like this. And Tristan being Tristan was a little taken back when Sergej asked him to help out with the food. At Vineheart he didn't think about it too much since it was a bit easier to convince himself that eating with Sergej was okay since they were both students and it helped him slightly forget the whole royal/servant relationship. Being in the palace was a different story. Being surrounded by the large walls and lavishness of the palace was a constant reminder of Tristan's position and place in he world. It was in the corner, silent and doing as he was told. So sometimes, even simple requests such as these made him a bit hesitant. "Ummm, sure." he said and slowly walked back towards the table. He reached out for another plate and utensils. He had been surprised by the fact that their were spare things but he forgot about it. He sat opposite to Sergej, first pouring Sergej his drink and then for himself. He tried to bring the mood back to some sense of normalcy. "For your therapy... I guess the way to think about it is not to fight it. If you actually give it a chance then the sooner you can solve your problems and get back Sergej that everyone knows and loves. The same Sergej I have to keep out of trouble cause of his pranks." he said with a light tone, taking a piece of his food into his mouth.

--- two can keep a secret --- ** if one of them is dead ** Tristan WAS making a pretty solid point really. Mira was a handful even to her closest family members, and Sergej was kind of miffed as to how Fred could stand her. Then again, they were two peas in a pod so that was probably it. Not that he would know, he hadn’t spent that much time with the Swiss prince, he just knew what he did about his sister, who he probably knew better than most, but still not enough. Though hearing about a supposed interrogation made Sergej frown and he looked over at his servant curiously. Interrogation? As in, she came to talk to you? What happened? And why hadn’t he been told? It was one thing to harass him, but another to do th same for his servant. He knew Mira’s servant well enough, but that didn’t mean he would go over to Kat and demand whatever, and he knew Mira had only demanded from Tristan, there was nothing else to say about that. He knew her well enough about SOME things, at least. He would never have pegged her for a girl to go off with Fred, but hey, he would definitely say she was someone who’d strangle practically anyone who’d get into her path to make sure she got to it. That was about it really, and Sergej didn’t want to think about it much longer. That she would have stooped so to actually go find Tristan to get to him, well, that was saying a lot. Sergej would have to talk to her once he got back, but that wouldn’t be for a little while yet and he knew he needed to focus on his therapy sessions, though he also knew family questions would be making their way to the surface as well. Lord, how he wished Pirzi would be here to help him through this.
I definitely feel for you there, I feel much safer here myself, he grumbled in response, flashing Tristan a grin when he cracked a joke. They’d come a long way from being servant and royal, and now Sergej was pretty sure that whatever secret he’d come up with to entrust to him, Tristan would never tell a soul. The boy trusted his servant more than probably anyone else except Pirzi. He didn’t really trust Mira at the moment, but he was sure that could be mended, and so Tristan was in the top three positions in Sergej’s life right now, which was saying a lot. But talking things out wasn’t helping him right now, even if he knew he was going to be doing it a lot in the coming days, though Tristan did have a point. I know, and I’m willing to give it a shot anyway, he said with a shrug, it’s not like I’ve been feeling all candy and sugar lately, I’ve really been going down a bad path. So, in a way, I guess I’m kinda glad my parents pulled me home for this, even if I’m going to be a total whiner all the time. He flashed an apologetic smile in Tristan’s direction before his attention went to the food, which looked delicious and Sergej really wasn’t in the mood for any company right now. He didn’t need his mother’s worried looks and his father’s glares across the table. He knew they were probably doing some damage control about the whole situation, though granted he was surprised Fred hadn’t come after him or something. Then again, ‘house arrest’ was meant literally here, because Sergej wouldn’t be leaving palace grounds that soon. Settling down for the meal and inviting Tristan along with him, the prince took his silverware and took some of the food, putting it onto a spare plate and began eating, savouring the taste. He liked Bulgarian food, it was spicy and it spoke to him like no other. Maybe that was why his reactions were always so hot-blooded too. Barking out a laugh at Tristan and what he said, Sergej had to grin ruefully, That’s the plan huh? Make me go on a pranking spree again? You could’ve just asked for it you know. But it was true, he hadn’t really been himself for a while and it was all proof in the fact he hadn’t really been doing any pranking, something he’d done quite a lot previously. Maybe though, it was also Pirzi’s influence, though that could hardly be it, the girl was about as crazy about pranks as he was. Maybe he could prank her first this time around and see how it went. The thought made him smile as he ate at his food slowly, but quickly enough to fill his stomach which was complaining about the lack of it.

And the cat's out of the bag. Sometimes Tristan spoke before talking, especially when it's suppose to be a secret. He didn't think he had said it loud enough for the prince to hear but obviously he was wrong about that. He turned around to face Sergej with an expression like he had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. "Yeah, about that..." he chuckled a bit nervously. "It's not so much she came to talk about me more than I was rather unlucky to be the one she found when she was looking for you. It was the other day when you had your chest match. She was looking for you and...well, you know Mira isn't one to knock when she's upset." he said with a slight chuckle. "Nothing happened. She thought I was hiding you. And she may have found out that helped you get free for time for Pirzi." he said referring to when Tristan had pulled a favor with the English teacher to get an extension on some work for Sergej. Mira hadn't been exactly pleased about that one.
Now he did feel guilty about not telling Sergej but he had his reasons. "I didn't tell you because you had enough on your plate. I didn't want to give you another reason to be at odds with your sister. Besides, I'm still in one piece." he said honestly. He didn't mean to keep it secret but he didn't think it was the right time to be adding on to the already growing list of reasons why Sergej and Mira were pissed at each other. He only hoped that Sergej wouldn't be too upset with him. Once upon a time he would have been feeling this way. Once upon a time he wouldn't have been feeling anything because he would never had been put in this position. He would never have put himself into this position. It was definitely a testament to how far they had both come in this relationship. Tristan knows he was a tough nut to crack. He still hadn't completely been split into two but Sergej was doing very well at chipping away. Tristan just waved off Sergej's apologetic smile. "Who better to whine at than me?" he said reassuringly. It wasn't just because he was his servant but if it helped Sergej then Tristan was willing to sit and listen to the prince's complaints if it helped him. "It will definitely tell me that you're back to yourself. Besides, my life gets dull if I'm not cleaning up after you and how else am I suppose to be able to pull favors with the teachers if they don't pity me for having to deal with you." he said with a smirk.

--- two can keep a secret --- ** if one of them is dead ** That Mira would actually stoop to the point of barging into his dorm room, well, sure he was used to that, but normally he was actually IN his dorm when she did so. But lately she seemed to be doing random visits, and he wondered whether or not she knew how insane that looked. The sooner she got herself together, the better, because Sergej was already doing something in that direction, not exactly according to his wishes, but it would help and that was all that mattered, right? Right. Even though he now felt terribly guilty for even having Tristan in this mess, Mira was bad enough to deal with if you were her brother, but if you were a servant? That didn’t exactly end well either. Oh lord, where’d you be hiding be, in your suitcase? he grumbled out loud with a shake of his head, popping a piece of meat into his mouth and chewing through it thoughtfully, not speaking until he swallowed again, And she’s probably going to come after me regardless afterwards, she’s a bit on the insane side right now. Then again so am I, but at least I’m doing something about it. Maybe she is too by now, I don’t know, the fact that I’m under lockdown here doesn’t do well for being informed. Luckily though, he knew Tristan would tell him if anything important happened, and that was enough for Sergej in the long run. Better than not knowing, for sure.
He continued eating as Tristan explained further, but Sergej’s mind was off Mira for the moment. His sister could do as she pleased, she always had and she always would, he knew that now. The preliminary meeting with the therapist had exposed that factor, and also, his parents had sort of inclined their agreement to that during their little talks. It pained Sergej that they would seem to allow Mira so much free reign when they would harness their younger son so, but hey, life was life, and he didn’t think fighting it would really champion his cause. His parents did think that Pirzi was rubbing well on him, which meant that he needed to get his act together before he screwed anything else up right now. The situation was bad as it were. Yes you are, and that’s a miracle in itself – I don’t know how Kat can stand her, Sergej commented out loud, shaking his head. Mira’s servant was loyal to his sister, he knew, and possibly the only person Mira could honestly talk to without biting their head off. Sergej sometimes wished he knew her secret, but right now, that was beside the point. He was in Bulgaria, and the girls were at Vineheart. He laughed when Tristan seemed so into the idea of Sergej whining to him. Har har, that’s funny, I bet you get fed up with me at times though. I can’t be all that tolerable, and I understand that, he grunted out, finishing his meal and sighing in content as he sat back and sipped at the water in his glass. He’d been offered alcohol at the palace before, but right now he didn’t feel like drinking any of it. Normally he didn’t drink a lot as a rule anyway, he had enough just seeing Mira go through the rakia bottles, and he didn’t want the same thing. It would be ... well, it wouldn’t be pretty, to say the least. He did chuckle at Tristan’s next tease though, Maybe I should, then at least the teachers’ll all pity you again and then you can call in favours for me. He laughed at his own joke, knowing he wouldn’t subject Tristan to that again. Normally Sergej didn’t need any favours from that direction, the English project had kind of been an exception to the rule.

Now Sergej's response made him a bit more guiltier for not keeping his mouth shut. Mira wasn't exactly the most controlled person. Sometimes her antics and decisions made Tristan question her suitability for the role of ruler. In honesty Tristan did think that Sergej would be better suited for the role but then again h mat was probably him thinking bias since he was Sergej's servant. Maybe Mira would surprised him and end changing her ways and maturing. Only time could tell at this point. "If I hear anything of importance you know you'll be the first to know." he promised. He could understand with this house arrest Sergej wouldn't exactly be able to keep updated with what was going on in the outside world which Tristan was more than willing to help out with. If it would help lessen the stress of being in this situation then Tristan was happy to help.
He chuckled a bit when Sergej mentioned Katerina. "Don't underestimate Kat. She's a bit tougher than she looks. And she loves you all of you. She's worried about you and Mira. She hates how things have become between the two of you." he was speaking from the conversation he had with Katerina not to long ago. Katerina had come looking for Tristan in hopes he could give her some insight into what was going on between the two eldest Bulgarian royals in hopes of being able to help in some way. He smiled at Sergej's comment. "You'd be surprised. I'm more used to you than you probably believe. Besides, you don't complain that often anyways." he said reassuringly. Tristan wasn't one to get bothered very easily, especially by Sergej. He had grown accustomed to the prince's various antics whether they be his constant talking about Pirzi or his rare complaints about various things. He finished up his plate, wiped his mouth and after about a minute of silence Tristan got up and got to picking up the used utensils and dishes. Basically he got to cleaning. He left the drinks and cups but took everything else. He carried the trey outside the door to the small table and put it down. It would be picked up and taken to the kitchen. He walked back into the room and closed the door behind. He smirked Sergej's joke. "Who said about anything favors for you? Last time you caught me in a weak moment." he said teasingly. "What makes you think I'd used another favor on you and your girlfriend again." he said jokingly. He knew that Sergej wouldn't directly ask for Tristan to do something like that again but that didn't mean Tristan wouldn't.

--- two can keep a secret --- ** if one of them is dead ** Sergej didn’t want to think about his older sister right now though, and especially not when everything was still so fresh, but he was also pretty sure that Mira had been shocked by his apology, and so had Fred been too. Sergej would never have apologized to the man, but then taking the high road didn’t always mean you had to like it, so he knew he had to make do with some stuff. He just wasn’t in the mood for talking about the sister he currently didn’ really care much about, and even her long lost twin seemed to have second thoughts about his relationship with the German princess. Actually, everyone seemed to think they knew better than him in that particular case, and that was what was pissing Sergej off. So everyone else could date anyone they chose, yet he was supposed to conform to their norms and expectations? Oh hell no. Not while he drew breath at least. He wasn’t about to just be all tamed and controlled, but he did understand that he needed to get himself in check, however, that didn’t include Pirzi. His mother had actually stated that she thought the girl was a positive influence on her son, so that was all the support he needed right now. Looking at Tristan and nodding with a small smile, Sergej relaxed a bit, Thanks. He knew that he was out of the loop, but it actually felt kind of good right now. He needed the time off from everything.
Looking in Tristan’s direction with a raised eyebrow, Sergej thought about his sister’s servant and shrugged his shoulders, I’ve never really underestimated her, but she’s never given me reason to do anything but watch from afar. She’s Mira’s servant and that’s about it for me. I know she’s probably tough – she needs to be, given how my sister is, but that means little to me in the end. I don’t interact with her a lot. Just you. He shrugged his shoulders again with a small smile and took a final bite of his food before sighing, She’s not the only one, but no one can really help us unless we help ourselves, but I have a feeling I’ll be expected to do all the work, and it’s not sitting well with me if you know what I mean. It takes two for an argument, but unless I submit to Mira like before, I have a feeling she won’t be helping by pulling on her own end of the bargain. That was just how hw felt currently, but maybe therapy sessions would help with that. In any case, the sooner he could get back to actually seeing Pirzi in person, the better, she was the only one who could calm him down in less than a minute just by being there. That he didn’t complain that often? Sure, and lizards could fly right then and there. Sergej knew he could be a complainer, but he was also thankful that Tristan seemed to understand the point and didn’t push the object further, instead making sure everything he’d used during the meal was neatly in one stack so his servant could take it away eventually. Sergej had long since stopped trying to tell Tristan he could do his own cleaning up when they were in his rooms. He laughed when Tristan returned the jibe, and shrugged his shoulders, Just a hope I guess. I know you have weak moments. I’ll see if I can wriggle anything else out of you the next time you have one. He grinned good-naturedly, knowing that he wouldn’t willingly ask for any favours unless they were actually called for from now on, it was against his nature and he didn’t like putting Tristan in compromising positions.

It was not the best idea to bring up what had happened between him and Mira, especially at a time like t his where bringing up Sergej's siblings wasn't exactly helping the cause. Sergej had more important things to worry about. He didn't think much about Sergej's indifference to Katerina, just like his relationship with Mira, Sergej didn't hang around with Katerina much.
Sergej would have enough to deal with. If the Bulgarian prince was to ever get freed from his prison here he'd need to focus on the good things. In the case of Sergej it would be thinking about getting back to Pirzi. If he did that then they'd be out of here in no time. "Taking advantage of our relationship huh? Oh well, I guess it can't be helped" he said jokingly.
"Well, I let you get some rest before you session. " he figured it would be wise for Sergej to well rested for his session. A grouchy Sergej would not be good or help anything. "If you need anything let me know." he said as he walked towards the door. He closed it quietly behind him and let out a sigh. The next couple of days are probably going to be rather rough but if anyone was strong enough to get through it he knew it to be Sergej.
