The semester was coming to a close but not until finals were taken and then graduation. It seemed like Noah had been waiting forever for graduation. Ever since he was a small child the whole concept of graduating from Highschool sounded so far away but not it was here and he felt very indifferent towards it. It would mean that he was done with that chapter in his life and next he was moving onto college. But with his employeer still not indulging him with the information as to which college they would be attending Noah was on edge. He desperately wanted to go to college and stay close to his girlfirend Frida. But if he lost this job at the end of the summer then it would be factory work for him for the rest of his life. Frida wouldn't want to be with just some common factory worker in England so he knew that he had to maintain his job and do better. But after a long day of classes and studying Noah was exhausted. There was so much involved with being a servant. For example he knew that before bed tonight he would need to finish his homework and all of the laundry that was sitting next to his employer's bed so that he would have clothing tomorrow. It was a small price to pay for the free education he was getting and Noah was thankful.
He left his employers room with the laundry hamper full of laundry and then put it in the washer before starting it up. Now he had an hour before it was washed and needed to be dried which meant that Noah had enough time for a smoke and some dinner. He had been trying to quit since October but lately he just picked it up again because of the stress he was under. Luckily he was able to keep it to two or three a day. One in the morning before breakfast, one before dinner, and maybe one before he went to bed. Noah left the laundry room and stepped outside before fishing through his pockets for the cigarettes and lighter. He brought it up to his lips and then light up. It felt so good to just stand there with the relaxing cigarette tucked away between his lips. Sadly it went by too quickly but Noah knew not to light up another one.
Instead he tossed the remains into the trashcan before stepping back inside and entering into the dinning hall. Since it was dinner time the place was fairly crowded by Noah just blended into the background. No one noticed the servants running around behind the scenes and Noah got away with it. He approached the counter and collected his food before slipping over to a table. It was the empty table in the corner where Noah usually sat while he enjoyed his dinner. Honestly he didn't expect anyone to join him tonight since they all seemed to be busy discussing when they were getting coronated. It was a topic that he had the potiential to discuss because he was dating Frida but he would understand if the government of Iceland said no to giving him a crown. He wasn't looking for one anyways. When he met Frida he fell in love with her and not her position in life.
Calling her tonight would be a priority for him. Noah leaned back in his chair in a relaxed manner since he was looking to eat and relax for a bit. The clothing probably still had 45 minutes which meant that he could remained sitting there for that amount of time. Then it would be back to work.
