Aramis walked on the long beautiful pavement. The street was small but super crowded as if everyone in the world had come here on this day of the year. Well technically it was the first of May – the Labor day of Italy so no wonders why Aberobello was so exciting and noisy. The Ukrainian prince bet that he had chosen the right time of the year to visit Italy since no one could be incredible enough to find him among a bunch of people here, despite the fact that he was in quite a funny disguise so as to avoid the paparazzi that might accidentally catch him, so he would have quite a free day. He sighed in relief as his eyes were watching people on the street doing their work. Some of them were decorating the street; some stopped to say hello as they see their acquaintances; the others were just merely waiting for something special. They all looked very busy but at least they all had got a thing to do, unlike their foreign royal visitor. But he did not want to do anything either since he had just lifted off the heaviness laid on his shoulders when he decided to run away from home for a while and go for a small trip to Italy. Sixteen was no longer a child, but still not an adult yet. But who dared to say that he did not have any worries at that age? Every time he saw Ukraine, the worst nerve in him began to torture him so bad that coming home had become something painful to him. With all his sincerity, he loved his country; every single piece of him did. But it was a bit fearful to be under the dreary and gloomy sky of Ukraine. The war had ruined so many things. All he could remember that he needed an escape from that sorrow. Somewhere like Italy might be a perfect place to hide. He would complete his two-day trip within this evening so there was not much time left. He had better enjoy himself as much as he could so as not to feel regretful when he came back to the reality of his life. And he also had better prepare himself for facing his family when he returned to the palace because he did not say a word when he left so they would get mad certainly as soon as they found out everything. Not only would he anger his parents but also he would piss his siblings off, especially Vera. He adored his sister to pieces but once or twice her overprotection made him feel a bit… suffocated, though he did the same to her sometimes. Besides, God blessed him because Italian people did not have any reasons to speak out loud the word ‘Hungary’, unless they would like to discuss about political issues. But it was festival so Aramis could be sure that he would not have to hear that word as long as he was still there.
No, he did not hate Hungary; he just disliked it. Maybe it was because Hungarians were the indirect reason which explained why the sky of Ukraine turned grey as well as why the gloominess covered the whole country and even the people of that country. Possibly they were the reason why so many wrinkles appeared on his parents face and so many sleepless nights that they had. He wanted to get rid of those worries for a while; two days were good enough though. He released a heavy sigh as he kept walking. Well, one day left to go so he should enjoy it as much as he could. A blank smile, but still a smile, crossed his face. What must be must be. He was just an ordinary human among the seven-billion population of the whole wide world. So just let God do on him whatever he wanted and let the wind of one-day freedom take him to wherever it wanted. Today he was only Aramis Krystiyan Yanukovych, not any prince of Ukraine or any royalty. His footsteps were quicker and more alive. The joy of life was maybe something expensive to him, but he had got all the rights to have it here. But the moment did not last too long before his carelessness began to take over him as well and blow away all his attention to where he was going.
“Ouch!” a small grumbling was released when Aramis felt like he had just bumped into someone. A slight anger grew quickly and he could not stop an annoyed frowned. “Hey! Watch where you’re… Arietta?” Well Alberobello was pretty far away from the Italian palace, wasn’t it? So what was the princess of Italy doing there?

Arietta had been excited for Labor day. To see all the Italian people proud of their country made her a happy girl. She typically spent this day in the towns surrounding the palace but this time she decided to go to a town farther away. In fact the town she had chosen was extremely far away. Alberobello was very far from the Italian palace, and she liked it that way. Obviously all of Italy knew who she was but she was less likely to have someone wanting to come up to talk to her. Sometimes being royalty was exhausting. She walked through the streets and was watching a local painter and wished she wasn't so alone. She had left the school for this event but she had also left behind her friends. She and her brothers had shown up for Italy's labor day and she was a lot more willing to come home than they were. Her only terms were that Dagger be flown home too. She wasn't about to go an entire weekend without him.
The painter was finishing up what he was working on and she smiled and complimented what he had done. It truly was beautiful. She had missed Italy. She turned and was about to walk away when someone bumped into her. Mie scuse signore, mi... she apologized in Italian. Well started apologizing until she heard her name. Not your majesty. Not princess... Arietta. Nobody who was native to Italy called her by her first name. Then she looked at him. This was not an Italian man. It was Amis. What was he doing here? She'd missed him since she'd been away from school. He was a good friend of hers and she even had a small crush on him but what on Earth was he doing in Italy? Amis? What are you doing in Italy? Why aren't you back at Vineheart? then the happiness washed over her. The confusion temporarily was temporarily set aside. She stopped staring at him and smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck in a tight hug. She had missed her friend. How are you, love? she asked and released him from the embrace but grabbed a hold of his hands. She looked him in the eye clearly excited that her friend was here in Italy. She wouldn't have to be alone today after all.

The Ukrainian prince was wandering around Italy with no one knew his name, who he was or where he was from. And that pleased him a lot since he enjoyed the peace he found here quite much. Italy seemed like a good place to run away from all the trouble at home. His Italian was terrible so he was not able to understand anything people around him said but he thought it was better that way because he would not understand either if they gossip or bad-mouthed him. Some people came across him on the street turned back to stared at him but they merely walked away after that. Probably they found some familiar figures on his face which were quite similar to a boy who was on the newspaper once when the war between Hungary and Ukraine got the attention of the world and the young royals became the main subject for them to talk about as they discussed the future of both countries. Seriously every time Aramis read the news about him and his siblings, he only wanted to tear the newspaper apart (and he did actually). Being third in line brought him an absolute guarantee that he would not take the throne, even if something happened to his eldest sister, Vera would be the second option to take the throne. However, it did bother him very much when seeing the heavy responsibility laid on her shoulders and it accidentally became worse when the world began to question her ability to rule the country. How could they treat a sixteen-year-old girl like that? She, anyhow, was only sixteen – not a child but not yet an adult and she deserved more than just stresses and nerves. Releasing a heavy sigh, Aramis just simply ignored the strangers and continued his journey to nowhere. The Labor Day festival seemed like a good excuse for him to come to Italy but then he was not in the mood to enjoy the wonderful time of the year. Well… at least it would be better than staying home.
The sudden impact made the Ukrainian prince a bit angry. He was about to turn into a berserk right when he felt his balance was lost. However, before he could complain anything, a familiar figure appeared in front of his eyes and he immediately shut his mouth. Before that, he was given enough time to call a name. Even if he had been blind, there had been no way he could not recognize that lovely face of the Italian princess. They were one year apart and he was the younger one. But he seriously had thought of dating her once or twice. Who would not love that girl? She was really an angel, a wild one, but still a member of God’s heavenly army. They had never actually talked with each other although friendly hellos had always been said everyday at school when they saw each other. Aramis smiled as she called his name. She seemed as surprised as he did but eventually the happiness showed up in her face and that brought another smile to his lips. He gave her a friendly embrace in return confusingly but not awkwardly. “My love! It has been a while since I last saw you at school. How is everything?” He said cheerfully. Then he turned back to the reason why he was casually in Italy. “I’m doing fine, as usual. Lately there was a few things happened and I merely needed some air…” He shrugged, tried not to talk about the issues he was facing. But then he smiled playfully and winked at her with quite a funny face. “I came to Italy to hide from some suffocating unwanted drama… But you know your loveliness suffocates me again.” The teasing came afterwards. It was nice seeing her there; at least he would not have to suffer the loneliness any longer. Alberobello’s sky had finally became brighter and clearer, thanked to the presence of an angel. “I did not think that I could see you here. I thought you had to be in the palace now. Ian is not with you today?” He asked as he looked around to find her servant. After a few times staring around, he could assume that Arietta was by herself for the day. It could be good though since the presence of others would only kill the joy. “I can see fate has tightened us together today. It’s festival after all. Would you like to wander around with me? Don’t worry. I won’t kidnap you, princess.” He smiled brightly and offered his arm for her.

She smiled at his words. It was always pleasant to talk to Amis. They had never had detailed or personal conversation but he was a pleasure to be around. When he spoke of Ian she shook her head. I've been fine. Ian has been given the day off. I've been running him ragged since being home and I figured he could use a day to relax. She laced her arm through his as he offered it and smiled up at him. I'll try to keep my suffocating beauty to a minimum if you'll promise not to kidnap me. she said chuckling and winked at him. She then started walking through the streets of the Italian city with the Ukrainian prince by her side. So you said you wanted some breathing room correct? What made you choose Alberobello? 'Tis a beautiful city but I would've thought you would choose a more popular name. Alberobello isn't exactly high traffic to foreigners especially ones who cannot speak Italian. She looked up at him with curious eyes and searched his appearance. He was a handsome man. He was not the most handsome male at Vineheart but he was up on the list she had to give him that. She looked away and leaned her head softly against him as they walked. He was easy to walk with. I wish I could've brought Dagger here. He is going to be unhappy that I missed our daily ride. I am, however, trying to attract as little attention as I can. Riding a big black stallion through a crowded street isn't exactly going to keep me under the radar. She chuckled. That was actually a marvelous way to shout "Hey Italian princess coming through!" since Arietta was known for riding Dagger often. People looked for him. She looked up at him again. What is new in the life of Aramis Krystiyan of Ukraine? It has been a while since I last spoke with you, my love. Any royal scandals? Are you seeing anyone? she winked at him after the last question. Obviously it was none of her business if Amis was seeing anyone. None of his life was her business for that matter but she was curious. She'd tell him anything he wanted to know. All he'd have to do was ask. 395 words [/size]

Aramis smiled at the fact that Ian was not around today since he thought it would be much more comfortable to hang out with her without her servant watching from distance. Everyone knew that he was extremely protective of her and if someone dared to bother the girl then that one would end up unhappily for sure. Aramis could confirm that he was not one of those harassers but he merely disliked that he could be concerned to be one of them. His little teasing had successfully brought the laughter to the conversation and had made it less awkward as he had not known what to say a few minutes earlier. Arietta was a lovely and caring girl of all time and it was such a nice pleasure to accidentally meet her on the street like this. At least it was much better than locking himself in his room at the Ukrainian palace in order to avoid his siblings and his parents’ worries. It was such a burden to listen to them talking about the wars and the world’s comments on it. Nobody wanted it to happen but he guessed it was just a kind of instinct when everyone seemed to enjoy giving their ideas quite much and that they usually turned the feedbacks into criticisms was literally a general fact just like the sun rises in the East. His runaway from home had not been told to anybody since he found nothing dashing when the irresponsibility of the Ukrainian prince suddenly became the subject for people to discuss. However, he had his trust on Arietta, though he still did not think that he would choose her a friend to share his feelings and his troubles. There was no way she would step up the stage with the microphone in her hand then yell out loud that she had just come across Aramis on the street so as the whole world could know his presence in Italy. He rarely trusted anybody this much but to Arietta it was a complete difference because he saw nothing in her eyes but the honesty which had given him the greatest relief. “Alberobello is a beautiful place, yes of course. I thought I was going to choose Venice or Rome instead; but a strange power had led my feet to this land so that I could meet you here.” He said in quite a dramatic way which people only used on stage or in some historical dramas. Another smile crossed his face gently as he felt her head leaning against his while they were walking.
He could not help but laugh out loud at the idea of bringing Dagger to Alberobello. He knew Dagger, though not so well; he was impressed pretty much by that young and majestic horse at the time his stern eyes glared at him when he was trying to approach it. He was not afraid of him but the way he showed his pride irritated him a bit since he had a feeling that the horse was too cocky to him. So unfortunately, its owner was a lovely girl so he had to restrain his anger to please her. It was a great thing that Alberobello seemed to be too small for that horse to be disruptive. “I guess a nice walk with me will replace the daily ride with him today.” He shrugged and said in a playful voice. Then she switched the subject and this time he was asked about something new in his life. Such a good question did she make. He shook his head slightly, his lips curled and turned into a reluctant smile. He did not mean to hide anything from Arietta and since she had asked, he would try to tell her what he could. “No scandal at all except the stupid study week with Julianna. I haven’t told anything to Vera because she will be irritated if she knows. It is just the stress at home which makes me kind of tired. You know how terrible when the parents have to deal with the war and the world’s criticisms and their children are affected by their worries.” He said in response. None of what he said was straight to the main point of the question. However, he hoped it could satisfy her. “How is your life lately? It is almost summer, isn’t it? Do you have any plans?”
