Features Jia is a small-statured girl, with the typical light, yellow-toned skin of the Chinese. She has deep brown hair, almost black, that reaches about halfway down her back, and her almond-shaped eyes are a matching color. Jia has an average body shape, not muscularly toned, but just teetering on underweight. The girl has small breasts to match the rest of her body, and she doesn't expect them to get much bigger. She considers herself to be somewhat of a fashionista, wearing stylish clothes a good portion of the time. Her round face usually sports a small smile, as well as a natural-looking layer of makeup. Jia could easily be described as "cute."
Who I Really Am

- Clothing and fashion
- Solitude
- Doing crafty things, such as sewing
- Winter
- Eastern dragons
- Teenage romance novels
- The smell of tea
Dislikes
- Any academic subject
- Music
- Socializing with others
- Red meat
Strengths
- Although she does not like the school subject, Jia is a geometry whiz, which helps a lot when she designs the clothes she makes.
- She is fluent in a good handful of languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, English, Spanish, German, and Italian.
- Jia is very pretty and small, which makes her easy to like and trust, even though she personally does not like to make friends.
Weaknesses
- Jia is tone deaf, a legitimate disorder where she cannot differentiate between pitches, and she does not even have relative pitch. Since the Chinese language is based mostly off of the tone in which you say words, it has been incredibly hard to both communicate with and understand those around her for her entire life. It also makes her very untalented and unmotivated to learn any musical instruments
- Being the youngest in her family and also a twin, Jia was treated equally when she was younger, but as she got older and her inability to communicate was discovered, she was put more and more into the hands of tutors and nannies and ignored by her parents. She tends to be very withdrawn and does not socialize.
- She can tend to spend a lot more time and money than necessary on things such as fabric and sewing, as well as designing clothes. This has led to less-than-satisfactory academic grades when she was younger, and it now contributes to the quick depletion of her monthly allowance and her lack of time management.
Fears
- Losing her twin sister
- The thought of death
Personality
timid* Although Jia is a kind and friendly girl, she is nonetheless not very outgoing. She does not make an effort to talk to other people, and this is mostly due to the very habit being manifested throughout her childhood because of her inability to communicate with other Chinese people. She likes to talk to her sister most of all, and really will only do so through handwritten notes. If she walks through a crowd of people, she often does so with her head down so as not to attract unnecessary attention. In her public down tume, she will read teenage romance novels, envying the fictional girls who have large and complicated social lives.
simplistic* Some of her favorite things involve the first snow of the winter, the tea steeped from the leaves she grows in her own small garden at home, the smell of firewood burning. She is very absorbed in the idea of loving nature, although she does not always have the time to take long strolls through the woods. Even though she designs clothing and thinks of herself as a fashionista, she likes to use simple designs, often mirroring those of ancient humans - though she wouldn't dare wear them in public. She applies makeup to highlight her face, but never goes for a drastic look. Jia likes to take life for what it is, meditating on her current situation and often enjoying it, no matter how miserable, because she knows there is often nothing she can do.
intelligent* Although she could never be paid to brag about it, Jia is very smart and is a fast learner. She often teaches herself nearly everything, including all of the languages she knows. She never enjoyed tutoring as a child and would learn the concepts fast, then refuse to do the work. She had to become very self-sufficient, being the last favorite of her siblings. This girl is the quiet one who still manages to get all perfect scores on the tests, but never celebrates them in front of others. Although she may not exactly be the epitome of humble, as she is fully aware of her abilities, she is certainly a woman of few words.

HistoryWhen the twin Chinese princesses were born, there was a lot of excitement. They were expected to eventually be the model of poise and beauty all throughout the country, as their mother aged and would eventually become the model of wisdom and motherly love. However, the seemingly perfect little girls had one distinct difference as they grew up - Jia could not speak properly. Although she could mimic syllables perfectly well, for some reason she was absolutely unable to replicate the tones used in the very musical Chinese language. When her mother would play music, she would get very upset and cover her ears, unable to tolerate such an awful noise. Soon, it was discovered that the baby girl was tone deaf, something that could not be fixed or changed throughout her entire life. Realizing that they could not commit her to the lifetime of a celebrity if she could not talk, Jia's parents put her in separate tutoring than the sessions her siblings had, and skillfully whisked her away from interview opportunities, and it wasn't long before the country forgot about her.
Allowed to basically do whatever she wanted, Jia grew up very much an introvert. She taught herself how to style clothing and make it for herself. The princess, when she was older, also decided that she would learn non-pitched languages, teaching herself by finding old textbooks and reading them, as well as going online and speaking with various people through chats and videos in order to learn the languages hands-on. She learned several European languages, as well as a handful of Asian ones too. With so much free time on her hands, Jia developed several tastes and hobbies. When she wasn't doing crafts, she spent a lot of time reading books. It wasn't half bad, but because of it she never socialized properly with others, and she never truly developed a real desire to. She only confided in her sister, and that was good enough for her.
It wasn't long before both of her older brothers were sent off to the Vineheart Academy to learn how to be proper heirs to the throne. And then the year came for her to go - but her parents didn't want her to. Even though Jia had taken the time to learn other languages and to communicate with people from all over the world, her parents had over the years accumulated the idea that she was eternally a social outcast. However, she didn't want to be without her sister, and begged her parents to go. After all, both of the princesses had been invited to the Academy. After much begging and pleading, the Emperor and Empress decided to let their daughter go to school.
Her first year was mildly uneventful, as she made herself quite known as a loner. She did accumulate a handful of friendly acquaintances. But who knows what this year may have in stock for her?
