Practice had been a little brutal that morning and as the German princess moved about getting ready for the ball, she could feel every one of her muscles protesting her movement. That was something she was used to however, since being a gymnast meant all sorts of aches and pains joining her daily. She still wasn’t looking forward to working on the beam and she happily blamed that reluctance on the injury she had received when she fell off of it. Once she had returned to her dorm from practice, she had immediately showered and started working on her nails. Luckily those didn’t take too long and then she was off to searching the internet for a hairstyle worth wearing with her dress. Finding something wasn’t too difficult since she had really long hair, but one style stuck out the most to her and she went with it. When Aurelia, her brother’s servant and come to help her with her hair she sat idly and continually asked herself why she was going to the ball in the first place. She didn’t have a date and she wasn’t really one to talk to people, so going seemed pointless. Then she remembered how a lot of the girls had practically begged her to go and she regretfully accepted. At that point she cursed herself for being so involved in school activities and athletics. Once Aurelia had finished her hair and left, Savvy worked on her makeup and then slipped into her dress. The time was getting nearer to when she planned on going down to the ballroom and she wasn’t looking forward to it at all. With a sigh and one last look into the mirror, the princess headed out of her dorm and began her procession to the ballroom. Well at least she’d get to check out all of the attractive boys and they’d probably leave her alone too. She was one of the cheerleaders at Vineheart, but she seemed to have a way of making herself invisible to people when she wanted to. The music was audible as she rounded the corner and the entrance came into view. One last deep breath and she sauntered in and accepted the pink rose one of the chaperones had handed her. Savannah brought the rose up to her nose and closed her eyes as the lovely scent enveloped her. Her gaze fell across the room and settled on an empty bench off to the side where there seemed to be very few people. That was good enough for her, it would give her the opportunity to people watch and if someone decided that they wanted some company, she was still visible. Savvy smirked as she observed all of the girls in various style dresses. It was without a doubt one of the easiest ways for her to tell what kind of personality each girl had. That of course was not proven to be true, but she liked having her little theories. Savannah leaned against the wall and flicked through the messages on her phone before deciding to play Temple Run while she sat there alone. She wasn’t really in the mood for dancing because one, she had nobody to dance with and two, Sera had lent her a pair of ridiculously high heels that she wasn’t used to doing anything in. The princess wasn’t terrible at walking in heels; she actually managed to pull off looking graceful in them. But these were way different from what she was used to wearing and she wasn’t willing to go out there and break an ankle. When she wasn’t playing the game on her phone, she was watching the crowd and waving as various people passed by. It didn’t take her too long to find a song that she liked and was moving to the beat on her chair. A slight frown broke through the happy girl façade she was attempting to pull off as she wished that she wasn’t at the ball right now. Normally Savannah loved attending balls, but she was beginning to analyze herself as she sat there. For now her conclusion was that her lack of enthusiasm was due to her lack of a date. She wanted somebody to be able to waltz with and being partner less made things a little difficult. Savvy had always loved ballroom dancing and had even made sure to convince her parents to allow her to take lessons. After one more sweep across the room, the princess returned back to her phone and creeped on facebook for a time before returning back to the Temple Run game. Well, she was glad to say that now her muscles couldn't be killing her because she was sitting down. And at that thought a few of her thoughts went to what she had in store for her at practice the next day. Tagged; Aramis Outfit; Here Lyrics; Michael Buble Notes; Hope this is ok <3

Aramis sat leaned against the wall with a glass of water in his hand. Water was the best thing to keep him calm now. His eyes glared around the room, observing people dancing, laughing and talking. He did have a date but now he was absolutely alone in the ball room. Maybe he was a real dork when believing that the Hungarian princess would keep her promise and stay with him for the rest of the Rose Ball. Well, it was not exactly a promise because she was blackmailed after all. Nevertheless, he could not believe that she could go back on her words out of hand like that. Aramis understood that they were enemies due to the war between two countries, despite the fact that he did not enjoy seeing her as his enemy at all, but it was not a good reason for her to not bother thinking of spending a little time with him. He remembered having to preparing so early so as to make himself look flawless before going to the ball with her and she did not even care about that. She should have known how long it took him to decide to wear a nice suit despite his hatred for formal clothes. He was trying to be nice to her and leaving him to be with her boyfriend was how she appreciated his effort. The Ukrainian prince suddenly laughed when he thought of himself as a good person who had good intention in mind when forcing his enemy to come to the ball with him. Honestly, everything he did was just to tease her and her precious boyfriend a bit before he could get a punch on the face from the Mexican prince. Well, everything had burst into bubbles thanks to Julianna. If he saw her again, he would definitely congratulate her on fooling him like a child. Aramis drank up the water in the glass and left it on the table nearby. He admitted not being the most patient person on Earth but it did not make him the most impatient one; he was only impatient when it was Julianna who drove him crazy.
Aramis left the corner as the colorful light started to hit his eyes directly and it was certainly uncomfortable, especially when he was mad. It was just moving from a corner to another corner. Never had he had to stand in the corner, watching people having fun like he was doing. None of his friends or siblings was free to have a small conversation with him at the time as they had had their own business to take care of already. His servant – Bastian – was not interested in joining the ball. He guessed he was not ditched by only Julianna but probably everybody. He headed for a bench which lied in a quiet position in the room. He might find some peace of mind there unless something worse happened to him. What could be worse? As he sat down, he noticed a small girl sitting next to him, holding a phone and looking around the room vaguely. His instinct told him that he knew that girl, perhaps knew very well. However, the Ukrainian prince soon ignored her and focused on his thoughts as nothing could distract him from his anger. He wondered where Julianna and Zephyr were. They must be so proud of their victory as it was not everyday they could make Aramis hit the ceiling. He doubted they would bat an eye when having him bite the dust. On the other hand, why should they have a bee in their stomachs about caring about him? Life was actually not a bed of roses. Julianna detested him and she always broke her neck to annoy him; Zephyr was not any more likable than his girlfriend. They were definitely made for each other – congratulations! Aramis felt the anger taking over him whenever the image of the evil couple laughing at him appeared in his mind. Honestly, he wished he could bite something to release the anger. Suddenly, a strange music sounded quietly and oddly. Aramis was pulled out of his ocean of thoughts as he realized it was the theme music of a mobile game. As a reaction to a strange sound, he looked around to find the source of it and his eyes eventually landed on the girl next to him, who was holding a phone and seemed to be playing game on it. A smile grew on his lips randomly. He knew that game and that girl as well. “I hope playing Temple Run is not what you always do at the ball.” He decided to say something to the girl. He used to be addicted to that game thanks to the little German princess who showed it to him but it soon passed like a temporary trend. However, that game brought him a very good friend, who he accidentally ignored even when she was right next to him. They were childhood friends and just a small irritation blinded his eyes that he could not see her right there. Well, at least he found another loner in the crowd. God must have blessed him. A cheesy smile grew on his face as he found himself rather guilty when not recognizing her. “Hey, I’m sorry. I didn’t see you here, Savvy.” He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

The German princess couldn’t remember the last time she had actually been to a ball. There were always charity events and such that she went to, but none of them really required formal attire. She was starting to wonder if she’d ever be able to go to a formal function similar to this and actually want to be there. Normally she liked to think she would enjoy said events, but she usually had a partner or two whether they are one of her brothers or a family friend. As usual though, her tendency to be more of a quiet one prevented her from getting a date for the Rose ball. It was kind of sad in a way especially since from what Savvy had heard, the sports players and cheerleaders never had difficulty finding dates. Well, she was one cheerleader who completely went in the opposite direction of that rule. Sometimes she wondered if being more of a loud, obnoxious kind of girl would give her better results. Savvy never really wanted to try it out, but she was still slightly curious. As the princess continued to play her game, getting closer and closer to a new high score, she noticed someone taking a seat next to her out of the corner of her eye. She wondered why anybody would want to sit next to her and then she came up with two options. One, the person either didn’t see her sitting there, or two, they didn’t really care and just planned on ignoring her anyways. So she continued to play her game and tried to pretend like she hadn’t noticed them sit down. At his statement she smirked and shook her head lightly, well you see it’s the new cool thing to do. I guess I’m just ahead of the rest of the crowd. The princess still kept her gaze on her phone, but ended up dying as she ran the guy off the road. A light frown touched her lips, but when the new high score popped up, she was still pretty thrilled. Savvy looked up at the guy next to her and offered him a bright smile when he recognized her as well. Hi Amis! What brings you to bench city? She asked a little curious as to why someone as popular and attractive as he was, was sitting out on the side with the rest of the wall flowers. They had known each other for quite some time and Savvy honestly couldn’t remember how they had ended up meeting in the first place. All she knew was that she had liked him from the start and found him worthy of being allowed to see the other side of her. The non quiet girl who was fun to be around and stood out without having to try. So why do I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever? Is it basketball, golf or hockey that’s taking up your whole life? She joked and then allowed her gaze to travel across the room to the dance floor. Savvy understood what it was like to be in a sport and have no time to do anything. She was active in plenty of sports at Vineheart plus gymnastics and equestrian events outside of the school. Her life was nothing but event after event, but she was somehow able to squeeze in a bit of time for her friends and family when she could. Her gaze returned back to her friend and she began to wonder what exactly was bothering him. He looked like he needed a hug and she felt a little bad for him. Apparently he was having the same kind of night she was, so she wrapped her arms around him loosely and gave him a hug for support. Savvy knew that when she was feeling terrible, she would happily accept a hug from anybody who was willing to give one and she had a feeling that Aramis was the same. You look very nice tonight by the way. I never knew you to be one for suits, but you sure can pull one off, she stated with a small smile. It seemed like a lot of the guys this year were going for the full suit look and hey, she wasn’t against that at all. From what she could remember about the Rose ball last year though was that the guys wore vests instead of the whole suit. The princess pushed a strand of hair that had fallen out of her updo behind her ear and then glanced down at her phone. It seemed like the night was going to go on forever and she really didn’t want to stay all that long, but she wanted to at least see both of her brothers before she left. As of right now though, they were nowhere in sight which didn’t really surprise her. They were very well known and were probably having a really good time unlike her. Why do people have to be such jerks Amis? I don’t understand why they are the way they are. Savvy was thinking about making an unofficial holiday in honor of those people and she was going to throw an ‘I hate jerks’ party. She was only going to allow a few people to join her and she would be more than happy to let Amis join her. If anything they’d have fun destroying things and pigging out with whatever kind of food they felt like having. Tagged; Aramis Outfit; HereLyrics; Michael Buble Notes; <3

Not having a date gave Aramis no reasons to remain in the ball room. Well, it was probably not right to say that he did not have a date. It should be said that he no longer had a date. Being ditched by Julianna was a shock to him but luckily he had managed to stay calm. His eyes stared aimlessly at the space in front of him. It was tough to watch people laughing and talking dashingly when he was in the mood for hitting the ceiling. He could not define whether he was angry or hurt because a part of him wanted to revenge so badly but the other part of him wanted to let her go. He wished her night would be terribly ruined but he also hoped that she would have a good time. Aramis could tell that he was feeling the ceiling spinning around above him. He had no interest in that arrogant Hungarian girl but why did he care about her? He was not himself anymore; if he was, he would pay it no mind watching her leaving then find his friends and have fun as if nothing had happened. But instead, Aramis chose to sit alone and get mad at himself like a fool. He hardly believed that he had not even noticed the girl sitting next to him, despite the fact that they were best friends. Normally, he could recognize Savannah right away even if she was a mile away from him; never before had the anger taken him over so horribly like that. He smiled in response to her greetings. Seeing Savannah was giving him some peace of mind. He was not somebody who was easy to be pleased but he had to admit that he always felt so calm and peaceful when being around the German princess, as if she had something kind of aura of peace around her every time she showed up. Aramis released his laughter for the first time during the night as he heard his little friend’s joking. “I was busy playing Fruit Ninja in my dorm actually. Bastian has been quite a tough rival. He got the highest score ever and I could not stand losing him.†He admitted cheerfully. “I thought I was the master of that old game.†He muttered after a sigh. For one moment, the Ukrainian prince realized that his anger and concerns had been reduced considerably, which was a good thing for his tensed mind.
Slowly, Aramis glanced over the small girl next to him with an amusing look on his face. Savannah looked absolutely stunning that night and he could swear that if they had not been best friends, he would have done anything to court her. She was so adorable and it was questionable why she did not have a date. The date was recalled and it reminded him of the amount of time he had spent on preparing for the Rose Ball. His temper got hot again and he could not hide the disappointed look on his face. Nevertheless, the hug Savannah gave him helped him finally get the calmness back in order not to be rude in front of a girl. It was his personal problem and he should not bother her with it as she had been nothing but such a great comfort to him ever since. A large grin grew on his lips with a slight blush on his cheeks when she commented on his appearance. “Thanks! I did not believe that I could manage to wear a suit and walking around like this.†His gaze fell to the suit he was wearing. It was a significant event which was worth remembering as it was everyday Aramis would accept to wear such formal clothes. And it was all because of Julianna. He sighed heavily then wrapped an arm around Savannah and hugged her tight in return to her previous hug. “Thank you, Savvy.†He said quietly then let go of her. Aramis was absolutely grateful for what she had done. Probably, she was the only one who was brave enough and cared about him enough to comfort him when he was upset. He must have been blessed when having such an amazing and caring friend like her. “I guess it is because they are people. People do what they like.†He overlooked the whole ball room. He could be sure that half of seven billions people in this world were jerks. He could go to the end of the world but never could he avoid them. He only could deal with them, or let them leave him scars. “But I’m no jerk. I may not be any teachers’ favorite student but I’m no jerk.†He stated cheerfully so as to lighten the mood. “Just forget them all. Now, tell me. Why are you here alone? I thought boys would have to line up to be chosen as your date. You were picky, weren’t you?†He asked with curiosity while smiling amusingly.

Seeing Aramis on the sidelines was still somewhat of a shock to her. The princess had always considered her best friend extremely good looking and he had an amazing personality to go with his looks. She did have a crush on him at one point when they were younger, but she wasn’t about to admit that to him. Savvy didn’t want to make things awkward between them; she enjoyed hanging out with him and it was always nice having someone to go to when she needed to talk or vent things out. Last she had heard though, Amis was taking Julia to the ball and she had yet to see the Hungarian princess. It was really upsetting to her that Julia would ditch her best friend like that and she really wanted to say something to the girl the next time she saw her. That of course would have to wait until she at least saw her walking around because she didn’t want to say something if Julia ended up being sick or something. Because then she’d just feel bad and that wasn’t something she wanted to deal with ever. She wasn’t really surprised when he said that he was working on earning a high score in a new game and fruit ninja was certainly an addicting game. Savvy preferred temple run though simply because she was really good at it and she wanted to continue to beat her highest score. She really did miss Amis though and school and all of her extracurricular activities seemed to be keeping her from hanging out with him. The princess simply laughed at her friend though and shook her head. Maybe she was going to have to visit him in his dorm one of these days and intervene in his fruit ninja mania. Oh my, don’t get too addicted. I’d hate to see you disappear, I’d miss you too much. She replied honestly with a small smile. Not talking or seeing Amis would definitely have killed her if it happened for a long period of time, it was just that simple. She shook her head and sighed she really loved their conversations and she was definitely going to have to try and convince him to play a game of Call of Duty with her. I guess you’re just going to have to find a new game to master or at least until I decide to destroy you in it, she teased as she waggled her eyebrows. Also, I’d like to request that you and I play a couple rounds of Call of Duty. I still haven’t played the new one yet and from what I heard everybody loves it. Savannah wasn’t going to lie, she certainly wished there were more events that allowed her to dress up like the princess that she was. She loved the ball gowns and the dancing and it was always fun to watch the entire room full of guys walk around all dressed up. Amis was certainly one of the guys she wouldn’t have been ashamed to ogle, even if he was her best friend. The princess was sure that if she was older she’d surely have the opportunity to go out to events and dress up like the rest of her siblings. Being the youngest she rarely got to attend events unless she was attending something with the rest of her family. Sometimes she wished that she could have been born a couple of years earlier, but if she were then there was a large chance that she wouldn’t have met Amis and that wasn’t something she would’ve wanted. Ever. Savannah smiled at Amis remark about his attire. Well I’m proud of you and I think you should dress like this more often. We could start a new trend at Vineheart, she replied cheerfully and gave him a wide grin. She wasn’t sure that Amis would be able to handle the new trend though, but hey it was worth a try. Her heart kind of broke into little pieces as he hugged her back and thanked her. She felt so bad for him because there was no way he deserved anything bad that was happening to him at this moment. That’s what I’m here for silly, she replied taking his hand into hers and giving it a light squeeze. He was definitely right on the topic of jerks. People did whatever they wanted and didn’t care about the consequences, it was sad really, but she supposed that was life. Yea I guess you’re right, she said with a light sigh. When he said that he was not a jerk the princess raised a brow with a playful smile, oh you’re definitely a jerk. She replied in a teasing manner and then rested her head lightly on his shoulder. But you’re my jerk so that’s ok. At his question Savvy frowned and shrugged, she wasn’t really sure why she was so invisible to practically every guy at Vineheart. Sure she was on the quiet side, but she was active in plenty of sports and clubs, so it wasn’t like she hid in her dorm all day. It’s a little difficult to be picky when nobody is lining up for you. Apparently I’m invisible to the male species, except for you of course, so thank you for seeing me. She said as she looked up at him with a small smile.
