After a long visit with her brother the Grecian princess decided that it was time to replenish her energy. So instead of eating in the café at the academy, Kalli opted for the little restaurant she used to go to every night after a large party. Normally she’d be nursing a killer hangover, but today she was alcohol free which she was sure would be a shock to the staff at the Lantern. Though she did tend to hide her illnesses well, sometimes she would just have an off day where she couldn’t really do much. There was a slight breeze in the air that made it a lot colder than she thought it had been earlier. Kalli couldn’t believe that it was already November. It seemed like only yesterday she was in summer school and hanging out with her friends in family back in Greece. A soft sigh escaped her lips as her driver pulled up to the entrance of the Lantern and before she could even react, he was already opening her door for her. The princess offered him a smile and a quick thanks before heading into the building. It wasn’t as busy as she had seen it back when she went to Vineheart, but then again it was early in the afternoon and most people should have either been in school or working. That was the great thing about being royal; she had already gotten clearance from USC for what was supposed to be a conference so the next week she was free to do whatever she pleased and would then fly out to Greece sometime near the end of the week. Kalli took a seat at one of the tables and pulled out her phone while she waited for her server to come over with a menu.
Kalli was beginning to wonder how a few of her friends were doing. She hadn’t heard from Sera since around the end of September and though she knew the Luxembourgish princess was definitely fine, she still worried. Yann would never let anything happen to her friend, so she knew that there really was no need to worry. The Greek princess was beginning to wonder whether the two had become a couple yet or not because they obviously had a thing for each other, it was really easy to see. Sera had also been texting her back and forth for advice on how to do various things for someone who was potential boyfriend material. Kalli would always laugh because poor Sera had lost her skills from being out of practice, it was rather humorous. A waiter came to her table with a menu and introduced himself. With a flirty smile she asked for lemonade and watched as he went to take care of a few of his other tables. Her attention turned towards the menu and she frowned, there were always so many choices and she never knew what exactly to get. She set the menu to the side for the moment and checked her emails on her phone. The princess had no doubt that one of her professors would be sending her assignments to do whilst she was away. It seemed like that was all the staff at the university liked to do. Overworking their students seemed to be the theme for the semester and in a way it was starting to tick her off. Sure she could understand that it was college and that some work was necessary, but having to write two to three papers a week was a little ridiculous. There was no way they should expect students to get all that work done and still have a social life. Luckily she hadn’t received an email yet, so she was in the clear for now. Her attention was returned back to the menu and she was still unsure what she’d be getting.
