Personality
Passionate* Auggie lives life to its fullest everyday and knows how to have a great time. He knows when to be spontaneous and sees the beauty in everyday living, and in all of creation. It is easy for him to master his mind, and simultaneously master his actions, which he thanks his training for. Everything that he does has a purpose and he likes to do it as best as he can. He believes that the value of perseverance is immeasurable and never gives up on what he has set his mind too, no matter what gets in his way. Auggie realizes that he is the only one that can stop himself and doesn’t let the negative feedback of others stand between him and his dreams. Good things take time and he is fully aware of that which is why he never surrenders and always moves forward, until he has reached his goals. Being focused and assertive help him with this and it can be expected that he’d uses that in his everyday life.
Rebel* Auggie believes that taking risks are the only way to grow. Unless you risk something, even if very small, you will not grow. He realizes that one must step outside of one’s comfortable current conditions in order to achieve anything and that it takes wise, informed risks in order to achieve what you desire. Auggie had always been one who disliked rules and did whatever he could to get around them. This still applies though he has to be a lot more careful when his charge is concerned. When he feels that things aren’t going right and he doesn’t like the orders he tends to change them and do what he thinks is best. Most of the time it works out for him, but little mistakes have been made in the past. He tends to be quite sarcastic and isn’t worried about what others think of him which makes his job a lot easier.
Hot headed* Auggie is easily angered and his anger tends to stay with him for long periods of time. During that time he gets violent and is known to switch into his ruthless bodyguard mode. It is something that he is trying to fix, but nothing seems to be working, so he just tries to avoid getting angry at any cost. The switch can be flipped at anytime, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll want it to be. Usually when he’s angry he likes the ruthless feeling and uses his passion to take care of whatever it is that’s bothering him even if it can hurt someone. Auggie likes to use his anger while working out which is why at any point if he gets angry he’ll go off and hit something or hit the gym. It’s a lot safer that way and has helped him to control himself.

Parents Adelaide Louise (nee Daae) St. Clair [deceased] & Daniel Gilles St. Clair [deceased]
Siblings None.
History August Seth St. Clair was born on a chilly St. Patrick ’s Day morning to Adelaide and Daniel St. Clair. His father was a well known military specialist and his mother a historian. He had a normal infancy and was loved dearly by his parents. When he was about two years old his parents were attacked and ran off the road not too far from their home. The attackers were later identified to be of enemy lines that didn’t want a newly exposed secret to be give to the French war department. Auggie was orphaned, but soon reunited with his uncle who had promised to take care of him until he was old enough to start making his own decisions. He went through grade school like a normal kid, but once he was finished was immediately sent to Luxembourg to be trained as a bodyguard. It was apparently one of his father’s wishes and things had been set up long before his parents’ deaths. His trip from France to Luxembourg was very difficult for him as he felt alone and afraid. Auggie’s uncle wasn’t really one who was known for being affectionate and had raised him to be very obedient and respectful. It was during his youth that he started to get a rebel side because he disliked what his uncle made him do. There was no playing for Auggie, it was strictly work and study which in the end made him very intelligent and strong. When he first arrived in Luxembourg August was paired with a boy around the same age as him and began his training the next day. The boys were bunked together and little did Auggie know that his partner, Yann, would become his best friend for life. He wasn’t sure why, but it seemed like the leader of the guards had taken a liking to him and even though he was equally strict with everybody else, there was a father like feel coming from him. Soon August learned that Simon Krier and his father had been quite close and it was then that he felt a strong bond with Simon as well. He considered the man his father and Yann had become a brother to him.
The training was beyond brutal, but everyday they went out and trained not only physically, but mentally as well. The guards at Luxembourg were supposed to be the best trained in the world which was why people were coming from all over to learn. Auggie felt honored to be part of such an intense and notable program and was even more thankful to have Simon Krier leading him in the right direction towards his new career. Once they learned everything that they needed to know, the guards were each given someone to shadow for practice. Auggie and Yann had been assigned the princess of Luxembourg because Simon felt like they were ready for a challenge and had trusted them to take care of her. She was a few years younger than them, but they still all became really close with each other. As time passed Auggie had become a great bodyguard and had ‘graduated’ the program. It was then that he was given the option to go back to his home in France or to stay in Luxembourg until a position was found for him. Luxembourg was his first and only choice because he felt more at home there with the Kriers then he ever had with his uncle back in France. While waiting on a position Auggie still picked Simon’s brain and tried to learn as much as possible because he hoped to become at least one tenth as good of a guard as Simon was. When he was fifteen Simon had found a position for Auggie with the German royals. He happily accepted it though he felt a little upset that he had to leave his Luxembourg family. His charge was a year younger than he was and was just starting at a school called Vineheart . So he traveled to Germany and instantly clicked with the family. It was difficult not to like them and his charge Xavier, soon became one of his closest friends aside from Yann. Throughout their years at Vineheart Auggie found himself learning not only things taught by the school, but also a sense of who he really was. Auggie followed Xavier to Dartmouth as his protector, but was thrilled to be able to attend the university as well.
