PersonalitySPOKESMAN
From an early age on, Xavier’d never really been one to stand in the sidelines. His parents, mostly his father, had always sort of nudged him in a ‘go ahead’ motion, and he’d always been a loud child. Not necessarily always at appropriate moments, but he got to that once he got a little older and could understand things better. Now, at eighteen, there’s not a national holiday he hasn’t been to, or an event where he hadn’t been present at least in some way. Since he can’t realistically be at all places at once, Xavier will sometimes tape himself it necessary to speak out for what he believes in and have the tape sent to where it would be viewed. He seems to always be on the front lines where all the action’s going on, he’s lead numerous school events during his fourth and fifth year and he’s never shy of the camera. After all, when you’re the crown prince, there’s got to be a place where you shine the most, right?
DIPLOMAT
Directly connected to that above is the fact that Xavier has never used force to achieve something, but, from observing his father and how he dealt with foreign ambassadors, he’s learned a lot. Words will get you far if you know how to use them and he definitely learned that, acing his diplomacy essays after he got the hang of it. Some could say he’s as slippery as an eel, though mostly it’s just the fact that he tries to get to the crux of the problem from every possible side without unnecessary violence, though he has been known to show some claws and teeth when he didn’t get his way. One of the more famous - and humorous - instances of that would be from his homeschooling days when he’d practically cornered his tutor with his brother Maxi laughing on the sofa. Young Xavier just couldn’t understand why the ‘foreign ambassador’ wouldn’t budge, and subtly began inserting threats into his discourse. Needless to say, it’s a very funny anecdote to the German royal family nowadays.
SPORTSMAN
Xavier’s been fascinated with sports since he was old enough to run, and especially with sports involving animals. More specifically, horses. His parents were hesitant about it but after the accident which happened because he hadn’t been trained properly, and the depression he fell in afterwards, they relented and the best tutors were called. Xavier developed a deep friendship with horses and, upon suggestion, his father decided on extra dressage classes. His tutor suggested maybe entering him in a smaller competition would be good; he finished third, which wasn’t bad for a beginner. Since then (that was when he was about ten years old), Xavier has been competing on a regular basis, under a show name that doesn’t give him away and sometimes people really don’t realise who’s pulling off the passage. Of course since he’s a public figure in Germany people tend to know, but he always tries to be fair and makes sure the judges do their job properly - meaning they don’t favorise him over the others, if they’re better than he is. Currently he’s training for the summer round of junior dressage competitions, a circuit that starts in Germany and makes an arc through Austria and down south of Europe, then back through Italy, Spain, Portugal and France.
BLINDED
While he seems to be good at presenting Germany to the world and keeping his head on his shoulders, there might also be the slight problem of Xavier favouring Germany over any other country and therefore blinding himself to advantages connections can bring sometimes. This isn’t to say that he doesn’t see it - he does, but he seems to be too stubborn to want to act on them when chance presents itself. He’s already had to bite back some retorts and come grumbling and groveling in front of his father a couple of times because of this. There are moments when all he sees is that one straight path that will take him where he wants to go - not necessarily in the best way, but regardless of the means. The flaw has been pointed out, most notably by his younger siblings, and Xavier might be fuming, but he’s working on it.
SUBJECTIVE
This is the hardest flaw to point out since Xavier likes to think he isn’t, but unfortunately he’s a bit more subjective than he would want to be, definitely not impartial as he says he is. Germany, Austria and perhaps Greenland (through family connections) seem to hold his interests closest, and he theirs and them, while the rest is sort of pushed aside for now. He’s still learning though, especially because, when trying to be mediator between his siblings, he can’t really pick a side, though that’s the hardest thing. But he’s learning and getting better at it.

HistoryIt was two weeks after New Year’s when queen Tarti went into labour, at around nine o’clock in the evening. The German royal’s firstborn son and daughter wept their way into the world a couple of minutes after midnight on January 15th, when Europe was covered with snow and ice. Xavier was always a loud child, and outspoken once he learned his first words. He never really exhibited much shyness, though at first he seemed to tag along after his parents everywhere they went, or after his nurse wherever SHE went. Pretty soon his upbringing began to differ to that of his sister, as he was to be the King someday, and Anselm was having it so that his children would be raised accordingly. Both fo the children were bright and happy most of the time and Xavier used to sneak down into the kitchens to sit with the chief cook and his helpers. He always felt welcome there and they had small snacks to give him.
When he was five he saw a documentary on horses on Animal Planet and his eyes went round as saucers. After spending two years with various tutors who helped him with writing and speech and whatnot, Xavier had a wish with which he ran to his father: he wanted a pony of his own! The Queen was mortified with the idea, having had a minor riding accident in her youth; they said no. But Xavier always got what he wanted - one way or another. So he tricked one of the stable boys to teach him how to ride. His training wasn’t proper though, so when he attempted to ride a new horse that’d been brought to the stables, it threw him off by rolling. The prince’s leg got caught - luckily the surgeons were able to save his life and his leg, but he still carries the scar today and there’s the just barely visible limp to his walk if you know what to look for. It took Xavier a while to start walking again since a crucial bone had to be regrown, and as he watched his siblings play outside, he fell into depression. He ate little and talked little and mostly just sat by the window and looked out into nothing. His parents decided: he would get a personal trainer and a pony.
It started when he was eight, when he felt secure enough on both his legs. The pony and chance to learn how to ride properly was a treat to the firstborn if he would promise to get well, and life slowly returned to normal. Xavier was slowly introduced to Germany, more and more as years went by, and he instantly liked it - like he’d been born to please the nation. His tutors thought he needed to find his inner balance though, to ease up on the dark thoughts that sometimes remained, so they suggested dressage to king Anselm, which he agreed to. Anything to harness the Crown prince who seemed to be bursting at the seems with excess energy. The plan worked like a charm, and Germany had no idea who went third as Ludo Reivax in a competition. The prince was hooked.
Once he and his twin were old enough, they were enrolled at Vineheart Academy and Xavier found it as another challenge, but also enjoyable to be away from home. In second year, his younger brother Max was enrolled as well, and now in his fifth year, Xavier has all his siblings with him, his youngest sister just starting off. He’s had his ups and downs, but since third year his parents allowed the stabling of his own horse at Vineheart so he can still train - it does his nerves and grades good to be one with the horse a couple of times a week. Now, he’s living it big as one of the ‘Kings’ of Vineheart.
