hear ye, hear ye! The five fifth year students who are KINGS are rivals to the QUEENS, they each take on a protegé to groom for their own roles. Protegés can be 4th, 3rd or 2nd years, though only 4th are actually in - the others will follow as they progress in years (: See below.

This is probably a stupid question (my excuse is I'm new) but is the Kings/Queens of Vineheart basically the elite and most popular kids of the school? If so, I feel like Tulio would want to be a part of this.

yes, the kings and queens are basically like... the elite clique of the school. the queens are like, the mean girls, and the kings are like a fraternity of sorts. and i'll update the list above, tulio is totally welcome |

Tulio-- if you need someone to be a protege under neither of my boys have proteges, Alaric and Fred.
Ric would probably be the nicer one to have as a 'mentor' since he really thinks of himself just being in the Kings because of his cousin Dante and therefore does not truly believe as much in their devilish tricks, he is involved in all of it but would probably treat Tulio a little better maybe even be close with him after the year ends.
Fred on the other hand loves the idea of the Kings and loved all the trouble that they get themselves into, he is quick witted, cunning and will not hesitate to throw anyone in front of the bus if it means some sort of a gain for himself, he would probably be quite a jerk to Tulio knowing the younger boy would still have to respect him as a member of the Kings.

aryn -- if you'd be up for it, i think matvei would be an interesting protege under alaric. i know it could help forge their upcoming friendship being thrust together in that way, especially given their past.

Oooh I remember we discussed that right? I think? Yes, Ric would like Matvei as a protege since I really think after Matvei got over the fact that Branna came running to Mexico they would be close, after all Ric would no longer be seen as a threat since he is going to be married very soon :] Plus Ric would be respectful of Matvei since he is with Branna and not sleeping around like a lot of the other Kings and Proteges, so I think it would work out perfectly since I can not see him having a protege who is someone like Fred haha.

bahaha, i can totally see matvei trying to vie for that head king position next school year XD may the best guy win (:
super duper excited for mat+ric! and you're right, he's gotten over it. he's had to grow up a bit on the whole branna issue, but you can bet he's still pranking like crazy.
