PersonalityINTROVERT
You would think that, being first in line for the throne of Hungary, Sanyi would be like all the other crown princes: outgoing, funny, a people person. Well, that was - and still is - something king Lorand keeps hoping for. Sanyi is, basically, the male version of a wallflower. He doesn’t go out, he doesn’t really like meeting new people and he almost always gets a panic attack when he has to make a speech, and at the best of times it comes out with only a stutter. At the worst, he can’t even open his mouth. Once you get to know him, things become better and he speaks to you normally enough, but that’s only after you get pass the initial level of shyness. To be frank, he’s this lovable giant teddy bear.
INTELLIGENT
Being shy and quiet doesn’t mean that he’s stupid though. From an early age on, Sanyi has been known to do mathematical, chemical and physical equations alike with an astonishing speed. His mind seems to be able to soak up information on numbers and percentage and possibilities, like a huge sponge. If he wouldn’t be as shy as he is, he would probably be a mastermind. However, he keeps himself limited to what school subjects he knows. And while he would probably be good at languages if he put his mind to it, he doesn’t see the appeal, although the various caligraphies of different nations do hold his interest. He has been known to study Ancient Egyptian every once in a while, when he feels up for it.
IMPULSIVE
A very good future ruler always thinks his or her decisions through. That isn’t entirely true for Sanyi. He seems to go for whatever feel s right half the time, and the other half decisions are just made for him. On most occassions he’s just impulsive by nature and blurts out something without thinking which he will then spend a couple of years hiding under a rock from or about. For all his intelligence, being a people person isn’t on the list, unlike his younger sister who he personally believes would be a much better queen to Hungary. Of course that would be just another impulsive thought, since Lorand seems hell-bent on crowning his son after university studies are done with.

HistorySpring was turning to summer when Queen Viva went into labour. Her baby was due to be delivered on May 25th, but because of one incompetent nurse or another, when morning shift came the next day, she was still toiling. The doctor who came in was horrified: the Queen should have given birth at midnight or earlier! The firstborn child of the Hungarian power couple was born a couple of minutes after six in the morning, blue from almost choking himself on the umbilical cord, which had gone round his neck twice. It would seem that the child had begun turning back from the position of birth. There were no consequences, luckily, and the boy was healthy enough to be taken to the palace. Hungary had it’s heir to the throne and a happy couple.
Sanyi, the diminutive of his full name Sándor (the name of an old Hungarian war hero), was the apple of his father’s eye, but like any young boy of three years of age, he wanted to know where his baby sister came from. And, after Julianna was brought home from the hospital, and a week passed, he looked up at Lorand and declared that he was done playing with the new toy and could his father possibly take it back from where it came? Of course Julianna wasn’t taken anywhere, and Sanyi grew to love her as years passed. Actually, the more closed-off he became to the world, the more open he was towards her and whatever she was up to. He supported her in anything she did, even the craziest things (though he would still like to know where that tattoo came from, just because).
He was homeschooled until the age of thirteen/fourteen, when he was sent to Vineheart to complete his education. Lorand had gone to the same school before him, and had high hopes that his son would open up more among children his own age. Error. Big time. Sanyi just closed off more and kept to himself, steering clear of any Kings and Queens and just sticking mostly to the library (he probably knows every single book in there better than the librarian herself) or the dorm room. He was sort of glad when graduation came and went. Now, he would be able to go on and study something he actually enjoyed, not be forced to take all sorts of classes that he couldn’t remember the names of.
