credt..anabel's first kiss @ caution 2.0 [ here we go again ] I kinda wanna be more than friends It had been a few days now since Rylie had arrived in France and well he had honestly tried his best in order to avoid her though this managed to prove to be very difficult seeing as she was his servant and now living in the same palace as he. Also it was not the easiest as whenever he say the girl it was difficult to keep his emotions in check which also proved to be a challenge at times. As best as he could, he tried to remain passive and nonchalant. Lately he had been somewhat lucky as there were multiple lessons scheduled which he usually hated although right now they were a reprieve of sorts.Yet again he was explained more and more of French history and had it imprinted in his mind yet again though he was not as distasteful towards the repeat lessons as before. At this rate he would go through just about anything to avoid her as he did not want her to see how much this had managed to affect him even though it should not have in the slightest. For a time he was grateful that Reena nor Marie were paying attention to him as he was almost certain that they would visibly see the difference in how he was acting as of recent. Thankfully everyone was too preoccupied to even pay attention to the eldest French prince's personal life. But now they were back at Vineheart and despite having separate dorm rooms and her not having classes, he still could not avoid her entirely.
After taking a fencing lesson on his own accord, he decided to venture out to the barn in order to brush up on a bit of dressage with Zar. Though as he went into the barn, he did not hear the normal greeting from the horse charming in with the nickers from the rest which was strange but he tried not to consider this too much. When he reached the stall front and Zar did not have his head hanging out in the middle of it that was another red flag to him. As he looked into the stall, the grey gelding was stretched out in the shavings and clearly uncomfortable which turned his own stomach into a knot. Slipping into the stall quietly, Bentley reached for the leather halter where it was hanging outside the stall and slowly moved to the horse's head to gently slip it on. Jusqu'à. Quiet vocals murmured to the animal as he tried to acknowledged the animal to get to his feet. The gelding resisted at first but after a while slowly got to his feet which was a relief to the prince. For now it appeared to be colic so he walked the horse out to the arena to encourage him into a trot which Zariel was less than impressed with about but nonetheless did attempt to trudge along behind. Deciding not to take chances, a quick phone call was made. All thoughts towards the girl were lost at this point as the well being of his horse was on his mind currently.
After the horse had been lead around for several minutes, he was lead back to his stall to be monitored but it was not long until the vet showed up thankfully. Zar was good as he was checked over and Bentley simply nodded as he was informed that it was a small bout of colic and that he just needed to be monitored and kept on watch after getting some banimine. Bentley was glad that it was not an overly serious case as he did not like to see his partner in crime suffering. Hand ran along the horse neck for a few times before returning the animal to his stall. Knowing that he was going to be there awhile, he decided that he would need something to do as he sat there but he did not want to bother with texting Rylie to ask her to grab him a book. Lately he had actually taken up reading more than he usually did, a habit he had started to get back into and now it seemed like a good way to pass time since he would be out here for quite awhile. He pulled out a hale bale for him to sit on for now in front of the horse's stall, listening to the different sounds of the other horses in silence. This would definitely be something that his mother would have a fit about but that would never even make him consider not doing this. For now Zar seemed content, resting a little more comfortably with his foot cocked and lip drooping as his nose nudged the boy's head briefly. Soft chuckle was released at this as this was much more comparable to the horse that he had been raised around. At least I still have you. Tones muttered quietly to himself and the gelding. The horse had never turned his back on him, never worried about what his parents thought, and never hated him for his decisions. Horses were so much easier and simpler to get along with rather than girls. Why he had not figured this out and thought about it earlier, he did not know.

I need you here tonight, like the ocean needs it’s w a v e s, The tension between the two of them was so thick that she felt like she was suffocating, it actually was almost worth than working for Clara, while the girl had been unbearable there had never been a tension like this between the two of them given that they had never been involved like he and Bentley had been and she knew that her words had hurt him on the day that she had arrived but she could not see how it would have worked out any other way and she constantly tried to convince herself that it was for the best anyways since it would be a total disaster if his parents were to find out that their son who she was supposed to be protecting and keeping on a straight track forward was fraternizing with his servant who mysteriously appeared at the end of the year, servants tended to be assigned to their boss at at a young age and had a lot of time in order to build up a trust but she knew that since she was new to this she was going to have to ensure that she did her best to make sure that they knew her allegiance with France was strong and even if that meant making a sacrifice that ended in heart break it was important and she supposed even though it did not feel like it she would look back on it and one day it would be worth it. While he tried his best to hide it when she did manage to see him between whatever tasks she was carrying out she was able to tell by the look on his face that he was taking this as hard as she was. She had seen his sisters in travel though she had never met them and she was far too much of a chicken to ever approach them and introduce herself, she was just a servant and therefore that would not be proper at least not in her own thinking so she remained doing what she knew best and that was keeping busy and trying her best to help Bentley, lately the two did not talk so in the morning he would slip a list of what needed to be done for the day under her door and it was not usually something that took too long so she ended up having too much time to think about this all so she tried to busy herself with other things such as little tasks that would subtly make his life easier she was striving to make this transition to having a servant easier.
They were back in Vineheart now and this was going to only make things even more difficult since the two of them were bound to run into one another. She never thought that she was going to be living in a high school after graduating the previous year and doing online courses for a university. She was just sitting down to finish a reading that she had started earlier in the day when she received a call from one of the staff in the barn, because the two had not been talking she had talked to a few people that would be able to keep her updated on the Prince for her since he was avoiding her. When she heard that he was in the barn with the horse who was sick she felt her stomach clench as she asked more information and learnt that it was a mild bout of colic which did make her feel a little better but she knew that there was going to be no convincing him to return to his room so she might as well just make it more comfortable for him. She was glad that she seemed to have a good relationship with his roommate the Mexican prince and the boy opened the door to their dorm for her. She uttered a small thank you before moving to grab a sweatshirt for him from his closet as well as a book that looked that it was half finished. She had also placed her own school work in her backpack that was resting on her back. Ric stared at her like she was crazy asking if she was going on a camping trip that caused her to just roll her eyes.
As soon as she was finished with that she stepped out of the dorm and into the hallway heading to the cafeteria to grab him some food since it was highly probable that he had not eaten and all this was in her backpack on the way to the barn as she walked along the trail very glad that it did not take long at all and it was a nice walk. Taking a deep breath she entered the barn. The memories of the night that she had shown him the acrobatics rested on the horizon of her mind but she pushed it all away, he was her boss. Reaching the geldings stall she heaved the backpack off her back. Hi. She uttered quietly. She held out the plate of food that she had brought with her to him as well as the book and sweatshirt. The barn manager phoned me. She told him quietly. Can I join you? Her expression was soft and serious with her voice barely a whisper.

credt..anabel's first kiss @ caution 2.0 [ here we go again ] I kinda wanna be more than friends He hated the way he was acting, the way things were between them; everything about the two of them right now. He could not stand it but knew no other way to handle this other than the immature way in which he was acting. He refused to let her see just how bad this was affecting him yet he knew that it was not difficult to see as she knew him better than most even though their time together had been short. It was impossible to him, facing her now as he dared not talk to her unless it was absolutely needed so therefore resulted to passing notes like some little stubborn child. How was he supposed to act in this scenario? No way that question would ever be voiced aloud as there was too much of a risk to follow and he had no clue who to ask in the first place. By now he was almost positive that Rylie hated the job as he was sure the way he was reacting was wearing on her. But he could not just go around and act as if nothing had happened, Bentley simply wasn't capable of putting up any sort of guard such as that. He could not act as he had witnessed his sister do so many times, for some reason he had inherited these crazy things for emotions and had recently gotten attached to a girl, both of which were absolutely insane ideas to him but were clearly unavoidable at the same time. Sooner or later he would get over this and face her in the eye without feeling a thing. Probably later, if at all but sometime this would reach an end of some sort whether it was good or bad.Something would happen, and he was wishing that this would happen sooner as he was done with all the feelings this ordeal provoked, wanted to move on in whatever way it was supposed to be.
While at first going to the barn hit him with memories from before summer, they faded away as he became more and more focused on his horse. He could not let those thoughts interfere with what was going on with his horse as he needed to make sure that the animal was okay right now. Memory lane could wait, possibly forever if it would to that ultimately. It was a huge wave of relief to him that Zar was going to be fine and that he just needed an eye kept on him which no matter what, Bentley was planning on doing just that.Though he knew that with his attention span this would soon become boring but he knew that he needed to be there for the horse and did even trust the barn manager to check on him as he promised he would. Already he had his planned formulated out which involved him sleeping right where he was at, end of story just to see that the gelding did not have any further issues. He had always taken things with his horse seriously as the animal was irreplaceable to him as they had been paired together for so long now. When he heard footsteps down the aisle way, at first he chose not to look up seeing as he figured it was just one of the workers. Only when the other was stopped in front of him did he dare to look and see who it was. And as he did so, he was aware of the fall in his expression and quickly averted his gaze. Another instance in which he could not avoid her. The least he could do was be respectful at least and hear out what she was going to say before dismissing her. Hey. He muttered quietly as well, feeling the awkwardness of the situation prepare to come in at full force. This was going to be absolutely miserable, already he could tell this. He did not want to recall the last night before she had returned to Austria, when he had requested she meet him in the hayloft and he apologized for her having to rescue him at the bar. But despite what he wanted, the memories were easily surfaced against his will which once more brought him a reminder of what had happened the first day that she had arrived in France. Whatever they had tried to start had come to an abrupt end and now had lead to strange way he acted around her, trying to avoid showing the emotions as they hit him.He had no idea how this was affecting her as he did not dare look her in the eye any more, he couldn't. Because of all of this, he was a coward.
As she held out the food and a few of his belongings, he did not even question how she had got him as he did not even question whether or not Ric would let her in the dorm. The things were set off to the side of him and he simply nodded as she explained that the barn manager had called her. Of course he would have, he was probably pissed because the prince would not leave and hence why Rylie was here, to get him to leave for the night. Nonetheless, this was not apart of his plan. Her question was barely audible and he glanced up to see why for merely a moment. If you want to. His own voice was quiet as well as he did not want for any sort of emotion to be recognized by her. Sighing softly, he scooted over as far as he could so there was room for her on the bale. This was entirely awkward but something told him to try and be a gentleman as a prince was supposed to be. So.... He murmured, trying to think of what exactly to say to try and make this a bit more bearable. How are things? Question was as monotone as he could manage. Why had he ever thought having her as a servant would work? Obviously if something happened between them, it was going to make things a million times worse; just as it was doing now. How badly he wished nothing had changed over the summer, that the two of them could go for a trail ride through the woods without a worry in the world. There were always such inconvenient complications in life.

I need you here tonight, like the ocean needs it’s w a v e s,
She was able to tell by the tense look on his roommates face when the man had allowed her in that he was able to pick up on Bentley’s bad mood and knew that it was related to her but not how. The Mexican prince would have been first on her list of people that were to be trusted though since he seemed to be incredibly loyal so did that mean that Bentley had told him anything? She did not know that and did not stay long enough to want to find out she needed to get out of the barn and needed to make sure that Bentley got all the things that he needed for the night. He was probably going to think that she was coming out there to try to get him to come back into the school but that was not the case if he wanted to stay out there with the horse then that was his decision and he knew the horse well enough to know what the horse needed and if it made him feel better then she was going to be the one to rain on his parade she was simply going to do what she knew best, helping. The walk took no time at all and she could not even attempt to hide the uneasy feeling that settled in her stomach as she walked into the barn and met eyes with him for a split moment but it did not take any time at all for him to look away and back down at the ground. She felt terrible knowing that she was the cause for all of this but what other choice did she have? It was not like she could have allowed it to go and be involved with him secretly that was only going to be a disaster! She hated how it did not seem to take much to tip the scales of the easy and balanced way they had been acting around one another to transport them into something that was so offset and she yet again felt like she was walking on eggshells to try to make sure that she did not put a foot wrong, this had been something that she learnt to be VERY good with when she worked for Clara and yet even though he was mad at her it was still ten times better working for Bentley. He was a guy and did not have the same back stabbing cruel mannerisms as she had. With the close proximity they were being forced to interact and while she wanted to turn and run the other direction she knew that it was going to help and it was only going to prolong what was going on with the two of them so she stood there and took a deep breath to calm her nerves as she uttered meek greeting and he returned the one word causing her stomach to sink though she did not have a clue why since what else was she expecting? She reached out to hand him the things that she brought and he looked a little confused as she was able to give him his own sweater as well as his own book that had been left open so she knew that it was the one that he had been reading at the time. He nodded but remained silent when she told him that the barn managed had called her and she was not too sure what to say in a reply to that or if she should even talk. When she asked him if she would be able to join him he told her that it was fine which caused a small smile and since the aisle was rather narrow she took her place against the back wall of the other side she was not going to intrude on his hay bale that felt a little too close and a little too personal for what was going on with the two of them. She was not going to risk it, this was a large step considering they had not even been talking before she shrugged the backpack off her shoulders bringing out a bottle of water and settling it on the floor. She pulled her knees up to wrap her arms around them and rest sitting there comfortably. This was certainly not the first night she had spent in a barn seeing as she had a horse most of her life and they tended to do these things such as colic when the times were the worst. It was a mild night though and she could not help but feel bad since the sweater she was wearing was not as thick as she hoped but for this weather it was going to be alright. Her head jerked back up when he spoke again asking her how things were going. They are alright, what about you? She asked gently. She was pulling out worksheet she had been working on she was going to have to get it finished and perhaps this would make it a little easier between the two of them if they just got used to being around one another without too much talking.

credt..anabel's first kiss @ caution 2.0 [ here we go again ] I kinda wanna be more than friends This was killing him in silence. It would have saved him so much had she tried to cut ties before he had hired her as his servant as before he did not see her practically everyday which provoked the few yet happy memories they had together. He felt ridiculous whenever he slipped notes for the small tasks to keep her busy through the day but for some reason he was absolutely convinced that this would end up being easier than trying to speak to her. That would only prove to be awkward, this he was positive but still he could tell the way he was acting about all this was even wearing on his roommate's nerves even though Ric had no idea what was going on. But honestly, what the hell was he supposed to do in this mess? There was no way he would fire the girl seeing as he had been the reason her last job had come to an end and well he was not going to be the reason she was sent back to Ireland. If she wanted to leave on her own terms, she was more than free to even though he had never told her this, he was sure she knew. Having her as a servant only magnified how bad this was as though it was not bad enough already.
Who, of all people, had to show up in the barn. Naturally it was Rylie though he was not angry or anything, just a bit saddened as he was sure this would only add to things in a negative way. He could not handle to act normal and civilized around her, did not want to reveal the side of him that was actually affected by this but he knew it was obvious to probably half the general public as some little thing could tick off and bring up the thoughts again. Why was he being like this when really he had never had much of a girlfriend before and well Rylie and he had not even managed to reach a level close to that but still he was a hurting unit because of all of this. While he had been preparing for her to arrive in France, he had been thinking his initial plan through which actual involved working things out between them and then later on dealing with the king and queen yet he had never gotten a chance to reveal his scheme to her since she had been the one to speak up before he had. Now they were here, where they had hit a brick wall and all the former elements of effortlessness between them had disappeared. How badly he wanted to be back to that he would not admit as he knew that she was not going to give into this in any way, she was far too loyal and good of a servant for that. Really, he was absolutely pathetic. Maybe it was time her surrendered to the absurd plans of his mother, after all he was quite sure if he were to speak up about it that she would quickly get something lined up.Soon enough it would be time for him to forget about his own personal life and completely vow himself to the loyalty of his country, to become a king that would abide to the proper regulations. Despite whatever it may have been that she thought, Rylie was not someone who he was attracted to just out of rebellion, clearly she had to see as it would have never come close to this if that ever had been the case.
He moved aside to make room for her when she requested to join him but he was sure it was a relief for the both of them when she decided to sit across from them as perhaps that would be more appropriate and not quite as awkward. Thanks for bringing me the stuff. He murmured, realizing he had forgotten his manners which he did not want to be rude to her as even through all of this he still appreciated the work she did with the job. Leaning back against the stall front, he glanced up towards the ceiling before then resting his chin on one of his fists, before long he caught his gaze wandering over to her as she sat there before him and once he realized this he was quick to look away as that would not do him any good in this situation. Trying to make this more bearable, he decided to try to talk to her about off subject things, more or less just to say something. He caught himself once again and decided it was better if he tried to look at the wall or peek into the horse's stall occasionally, just to stop himself from staring. God he felt like an idiot right then. He nodded slightly as she stated that things were alright and then asked him the same. The question was returned and he hesitated to consider how exactly to answer this. Things are...okay. He wasn't exactly lying by using that word, was he? Quite frankly he did not want to start questioning his words. Picking up his book, he started reading it although it was not able to hold his focus right then and there. Is your college thing going alright? He asked quietly, figuring that was what she was trying to do right then.

I need you here tonight, like the ocean needs it’s w a v e s,
She did not know what to think of the fact that the only communication between them were the notes that were left for her every morning to start her day, this she did not mind since she loved being busy through the day and carrying out the tasks to ensure that he was getting all the help that he needed with the mundane tasks and also with some of the things that were not on the list, in fact there had been a few times where she had even tidied up his room knowing that he was too busy to do so himself and he was a boy after all so therefore needed someone to clean up after him. She had also made sure to always visit his horse when she went to the barn to see Cayo, after all Zar was a connection to him and she could not find it within herself to stop the excessive amount of attention she gave the stunning gelding. She adored spending time with him and could see how Bentley loved him so much especially after years of owning him and this was the one last thing that she had to grip onto when it came to the French prince. Not talking seemed to do a lot of harm between them since when she thought of him now her stomach tied into tight and painful knots and not in the good way it had been before when she would get butterflies around him, that she was sure would still be there if she allowed herself to feel it but as she thought from the very beginning she was treading very dangerous waters and there was only a certain amount of time before she was held under. It was not ideal for either of them since the feelings that had been between the two of them were something that did not come around waltzing for just anyone and that effortless feeling that she loved so much was something that she did not feel around anyone but him and the old friends she had back in Ireland that she had left behind for so many years. That was a part about growing up and she hated to admit but you tended to grow away from the people that you at one time held so dear.
She could only hope that within the next little while that everything was going to get better since she was stubborn she was not going to give up after all she did end up serving Clara, but Bentley did not realize that because of him she really did not have anything to go back to if she were to give up this job as well, why could this not be simple? She did not want to make him miserable but at the same time appreciated the fact that he had hired her and as she had promised him she was not going to let him regret it. She was going to be the best servant to him that she could possibly be and if this meant giving him his space while he sorted this out then that was exactly what she was going to do. Being in a secretive relationship where they were sneaking around somehow was not at all appealing to her and was only going to end up in even more heartbreak when one or the other ended up having hurt feeling and there was only so long things like that would end up being secretive. It was impossible not to see that he was hurt and this only caused her to regret coming here even more though she knew that she could not back out now, what might have been a little more wise was asking the barn manager to meet her at the door since she was sure that he was around since he lived there and just leaving the things for him with the barn manager and returning back to her dorm but she would worry about him if she did not stay and knew that she would get no sleep and probably end up giving in and heading down to the barn anyways.
She was very flattered that it seemed that the feeling the Prince had for her turned out to be so genuine but sadly that did not change anything in fact made it harder on the two of them. He was going to have to think about becoming King in the next few years and did not need the distraction of a scandal with a servant, his own servant to make it worse. She was not too sure if he knew this yet but she would do anything for him as long as it did not have anything to do with what ever had gone on between them, she adored him and that was never going to change it was simply in a way that a servant cared for their boss. He thanked her for bringing him the things that she had placed next to him on the hay bale and she nodded slightly with a small weak smile. No problem. She uttered gently. While he answered that things were ok he trailed off with an expression that made it just apparent how NOT ok things were and this caused her frown to deepen. She really needed to do something about this but really was not too sure where to go from here. She needed someone else’s help and that was for sure, but who she did not know. It was not like she knew anyone. When he asked her if college was going alright she nodded. I have a hard time sitting in front of the computer as much as it demands but other than that it’s pretty straight forward. She answered truthfully looking up at him. What about you? How’s school? It seemed like the safest subject right now as she leaned back against the wall behind her.

What she don't know - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Really when he thought about it now, Bentley realized how he was acting like a spoiled brat about all of this. For one, he did not even have the decency to speak to her and for two, he was moping around in general public like some loser. He was overreacting, most definitely, he saw this now as she sat in front of him as though nothing was wrong other than the fact that they were just simply being awkward and not talking much.Yet then again, it could be difficult to decipher what was really going on with her as she tended to be the quiet type and he had a hard time following her emotions on a normal day. Clearly he just was not used to experiencing emotions which could make it more challenging to hide them. What had he done all the previous years at school though? Fake everything and he needed to be able to do that now. Nothing was wrong. But then again Rylie was right there in front of him and he generally was no one else other than himself in front of her and even now this was a difficult task. It was time to grow up, time to look past this no matter what. There were forks in the road, times where you got hurt and you would survive just fine. For him this was one of those instances right now, it was time to pull it together and compose himself in a more mature manner. He could and would do this. No strings attached, nothing. Everything was gone, or at least he would temporarily forget it otherwise this was never going to end and he was going to continue acting like some foolish child. Time to grow up and act a little more serious. He should have known better than to act like this in the start. The 'just friends' card would have to work in this case or something unless he was able to do some major persuading... first, he needed to set things a little straighter.
Now that he was thinking about it, he really did not understand why he had not even tried to fight this but had been submissive to the fact. He had been expecting for the problem to come up sooner or later of course yet he had started thinking of ways to figure things out before she put it to an end. It had just hurt for him to hear her bringing it up and having everything come screeching to a halt after he had just gotten his hopes up. No longer was this going to be a problem though, he was going to look past it and only work harder to try and prove this to her without being entirely suspicious. He would work through this again, back from square one almost if possible. Even the French believed in the proverb: "If there's a will, there's a way". The prince was not ready to give up now as he was going to make this work, somehow. It would take quite a bit, but he was going to find the way even if Rylie was unaware of this fact. It would be a gradual approach as he was going to seriously think this through and mistakes were not acceptable seeing as he did not have any room for error at this point. In time, he would get all of this planned out entirely. Simple.
Having this in mind, he was a bit more comfortable with the situation now yet he knew she was still trying to tip toe about them. Obviously he could not just start smiling like a fool right then otherwise she would become suspicious and he still had quite a bit to do to think this through entirely. There were certain mechanics to this plan, it was not just a spontaneous idea that was sprouted forth like his previous, questionable attempts that had failed. This was going to work, at all costs, he was going to make absolutely sure of this. He just had to give it time, let things go a bit and of course keep a close eye on her at the same time. Easy. She shrugged off his thanks for bringing the various items which he genuinely appreciated as he realized now that he was actually quite hungry though this could wait a bit longer for now. His expression had definitely slipped when he had told her things were okay and he vowed to himself that this would not happen again. All he needed to do was act a bit more normal, as though they were acquaintances or something. Easier said than done but he would managed this somehow. Bringing up her schoolwork felt like a good idea as it was neutral ground between the two of them so at least it would be a start to talking as he had not even attempted to speak with her for some time and when he did it was brief and nothing of real importance. She was being a fabulous servant, much more than he could have asked for as she really did go above and beyond with small tasks and the like. Stating this and complimenting her on so could prove to be a bit awkward though so he decided to avoid that for now. Maybe he would text her this or something.Meeting her gaze for a moment, he then paused before looking away indirectly. It's alright. I'm struggling with science and math though. This was admitted with a small shrug, it was truthful enough but both subjects were not the easiest either. Chemistry definitely was not fun nor was calculus but this was not at all a surprise to him.

I need you here tonight, like the ocean needs it’s w a v e s, She needed to be brave, that was the only thing that was going through her mind, the only way that things were going to change for the better were if she just kept acting normal she needed to act like nothing had ever happened this was going to be the only way that she was going to get over this herself. It would help if she had someone to talk to as well but that was not really a reality since she did not want the judgment that would come along with the fact that she had been involved in a secret relationship with a Royal though she was never the type of person to have been involved with him for any sort of materialistic gain or status gain. She was not like that since she would much rather have the easy life of serving someone and eventually going off to college and getting a job that would lead her to having a simple and happy life away from the spotlight since already she was able to see the way that it affected him on a daily basis. He never had any sort of privacy since there was always someone watching to try to catch him making a wrong step. This made her uneasy as she remembered the pictures that had been taken when the two of them had been in Austria. So far they did not seem to be coming out and this made her wonder if he had been the one to deal with it like she was sure happened but how secure was that. Did he trust whoever had been put in charge of that because if this were to come out they were all doomed.
After the forced conversation between the two of them that was nothing like the times that they had talked before in Austria and at the end of the year of Vineheart she found herself turning her attention back to the work before her though she was not really able to focus and she knew that it was not going to be due for a while but the sooner she finished the less stressed she was going to be but sitting in the hallway with Bentley was not going to be the place where she was able to finish this, it was not going to work but it did prove to make her at least look like she was doing something so it was not so awkward, in reality even though it looked like she was writing all she was doing was doodling and making fancy patterns across the page in front of her that was tilted backwards so that he was not going to be able to see it. When he did look back up though their eyes met for a moment where the breath that had formed in the back of her throat seemed to still as she watched him before he turned away uttering that he was struggling in math and science. Those had been her best subjects when she had been in school and she could not just not say anything. After all if it was something that she could help with than she was more than willing. I can help you if you want. She uttered gently. While before when they talked her answers would have been a little more detailed and perhaps an insight into what was going through the girls brain she was keeping everything short and simple now. It was better that way since the two of them were barely talking to begin with. She waited to see what he was going to say and this was really going to be a test on how he was feeling right now since it had been the first time that they had talked since they had arrived and it would really be dependent on whether or not he was going to want to continue on the same way that they year had started so therefore she was very nervous for his response. She could not help herself any longer as she stood and made her way over to the stall front of his horse, in the last little while when she had more interaction with the horse she found that she was growing quite fond of the animal and while it was never going to be the same as between her and Cayo she felt like looking out for and admiring the horse was going to be yet another way that she was going to be raised up in how good of a servant she was knowing that Zar was his prized possession and while would he not be? The horse was stunning and good natured and in the world of horses this was an uncommon and very sought after match. Any horse could be stunningly gorgeous but the ones that had a good head on their shoulders were the ones that she wanted to be around. The horse was not looking a lot like himself as she reached a hand out to him and he barely even touched the back of her hand with his muzzle and this caused her to frown lightly before walking back to where she was sitting on the floor.

What she don't know - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - This was going to be challenging, the master plan he had currently but this was a given. Good things come to those who wait, et cetera. He just could not believe how foolish he had been before, simply listening to the logical side of the argument rather than actually following what he believed. Very strongly, he believed that he would be able to work things out with her entirely and in the end, his parents if it came to that. It was worth fighting for in his mind as no one had effected him as clearly as Rylie had, he was not the same person he was around her elsewhere. He wasn't himself unless he was in her presence with the exception of his sister's. He was determined to work his way through this in order to prove something to both he and Rylie. His major worry in this case would be that her interest would change which he was powerless to determine anyway but still he was going to try his best to try and get things in motion again. In time, everything would work out or at least he had his fingers crossed for so. Right now he wanted more than anything for them to return back to what was normal for them without reservations. As he was thinking this, he swore to it in silence that he would stick to this plan as much as possible without making anything worse as he could not handle that.
Talking to her really hadn't turned out as bad as he had originally though but either way it was a given that she would see how he was taking it. As though it was not obvious if he tried to avoid her completely, nothing suspicious about that at all. They were past the not speaking thing no, well he was past it since he was the one that had started it all. Nonetheless he wished that he had the ability to rewind time so they were back on the same note as when they had left the barn, a whole lot more pleasant and visibly happier. One could only wish of such things but there was nothing really he could do about that so much so he tried to look beyond that. In time, something would happen between them whether it be good or bad, his own fingers were crossed for the first option. There was more to life than this he had to remind himself as he really was in quite the pessimistic opinion lately just in a sour mood because of this ordeal. Lately he had not even thought about the pictures as he had be certain that they would not be released as really they would not be of much use he believed. Nothing to worry about there, that he was almost positive of. He admitted to her the fact that he had been struggling in math and science and was pleasantly surprised as she offered that she could help. He knew instantly that he should take her up on this offer as it could lead to other things maybe. She was just trying to be helpful while he had ulterior motives that would not be spoken of. I think that would be very helpful if you were able to. Lyrics mumbled quietly with a half smile as he was thinking about this more than he should have now. Once he got one idea, several more usually sprouted whether or not they were really practical. Now he had every intention of speaking with her again because otherwise it would only further the distance between them, not what he wanted at all. Then again, there was still the little conscience that told him to look beyond this completely but it was shooed away without any second thoughts. Somehow, he was going to fix this on his own.
Gaze followed her as she stood though it was only to see his own horse which was saddening to him but not allowed to show as this definitely would have been foolish of him. He needed to think more of the horse and less of the girl at this time as that was the reason he was here. Standing beside her, he was sure to keep distance between them as small frown crossed features as Zar barely seemed interested in either of them when he was always such a personable animal. Small sigh was released into the air, wishing that the horse would get well sooner as he hated to see the gelding in this manner as well. I hate seeing him like this. You can always tell when he's off. He commented quietly, running his hand lightly along the horse's neck. The instances where the horse was not doing well were few and far between but there was a definite notable difference in his demeanor at such times. Obtenez ami bien.He murmured quietly to the horse, native tongue slipping up every now and again around the animal. Sitting back at the hay bale, he then started to eat a little of the food that she had brought for him. Thinking of something that the barn had reminded him of, he could not help but ask the question aloud. Do you still have the necklace I gave you? He asked quietly, simply curious but not having the slightest interest of wanting it back as he had given it to her for a reason. There would not have been a use for him to take it back nor would he ever do such a thing. It had been a gift and it still stood that way, she was free to do with it whatever she wanted but he just wondered whether or not she still wore it. Perhaps he should not have asked this as it would probably only thicken the awkwardness between them but he wanted to know for some reason or another. Curiosity tended to lead him in pointless directions.

I need you here tonight, like the ocean needs it’s w a v e s,
She knew nothing of this master plan that he seemed to have concocted in his head and thought that he was just being the same as he had been since the two of them arrived. She was sort of jealous of the relationships that a lot of servants seemed to have with their masters here as they all seemed to be very close. She wanted to be close with him secretly she did want it to go back to the way that it had been in the last part of the year last year as well as when she was in Austria and came to visit her. That would be what she wanted the most but at the same time there were some sacrifices that needed to be made, of course the first boy that she had developed feelings for had to be the Prince of France and yet the problem was not winning over his affections the two seemed to understand one another and fit well together, it was the fact that he ad duties and none of which involved dating a servant and it would be his own personal demise. He needed to focus on the throne and what was going to be good for his country and not get distracted with her who promised herself that she would stick by his side through all of this, every Prince that was an heir to the throne deserved someone that they knew that they could count on no matter what and she was ready to prove this loyalty to him. Once a person achieved an inner circle of trust with her there was no turning back and she would do all in her power to ensure that they were as safe as they could be, perhaps this was why she had been chosen as a servant, though that did not last long for Clara and she felt terrible and tried to reason with the girl before she left even explaining that it had not been her that had given her notice but there was no talking to the Austrian princess escpecially when she felt cheated and even after pleading Rylie had been dismissed anyways. She never liked to leave people on bad terms and this was no exception since she still tended to feel guilty about it but there was no use in trying to change something that was never going to ever budge. She knew that the girl was back in Montana for school but she did not expect that she was ever going to see her again since what reason would the princess have for coming back to Vineheart to visit?
She was convinced that if the two were forced to be in the same room for a prolonged period of time that this was only going to get better and already that was starting to happen, the two were forced to sit there and with the occasional glance up attempt at an almost normal conversation. This was slowly putting her mind at ease and the twisting and turning in her stomach was coming to a slow stop. She was very glad that progress seemed to start to be made as he appeared now to be alright with talking to her and she found that she missed him even more after hearing his voice, yet another dangerous thought to add to the list that was kept very guarded in her mind. She shifted slightly a little uncomfortably when he announced that he was not doing well in science and math and she debated with whether or not she was going to offer to help him since she did not want him to take it the wrong way but at the same time if it was something that was going to please his parents that he was doing better in a subject she owed it to him. After all she was very strong in academics and her best subjects were the ones that involved calculations. When he told her that it would be really helpful if she would help him she nodded slightly. Of course. She uttered gently. When she stood and walked to the stall where his horse was standing looking rather ‘under the weather’ it caused a small frown to cross over her face as concern etched in features. When they had been travelling in Capall there had been one incident where the horse had travelled behind her onto the next town and a new groom had been assigned to the travelling performance and one that she had not trusted. She normally did not allow her horse to travel with anyone but herself with him so it was a big deal for her to be convinced to allow this person to take care of him. He had ended up colicing really badly on the trip since the groom had forgotten to offer him water. This she had never forgiven herself for, Cayo relied on her, and never again did she allow the horse to be transported in Capall without her, now that she was working here it was a little different but at the same time she had met and trusted the grooms at the French palace and it turned out for the best since her horse had arrived safe and sound. She nodded when he told her that he hated to see the horse like this and he was always able to tell when he was off, it was very obvious to her as well even though she did not know the horse even nearly as well as he did. Even when he moved back to the hay bale where he started eating the food that she had brought him she remained standing by the horse who was at the front of his stall at least now and soothing hand ran along his forehead watching the animal standing there. After a few moments she moved back to where she was sitting across from him and placing the binder back on her lap. It was then that he asked if she still had the necklace that he gave her and this struck fear into her, it was one thing that she had to grasp what had happened between the two of them and it was a possession that she loved and cherished and she guessed that this was going to mean that he wanted it back. Never taken it off. She pulled it out from beneath the collar of her shirt where it hung when she was at places like the barn. I understand you wanting it back. She uttered gently and reached for the clasp with a small frown, the chain gathering lightly in her hand as she walked towards him to hand it back to him trying her best to not show how much this was affecting her. Biting hard on her bottom lip to keep the tears at bay, the symbol of this necklace and giving it back really seemed to make it feel real and over between the two of them as she reached to place it in his hand.

What she don't know - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Never had he wanted it to come to this, nor had he ever really planned for it. He had stayed relatively optimistic, hoping things would work out eventually as well as avoiding what he knew wold later on be the truth as well. Either way he knew deep down that eventually somewhere there would be a bump in the road well the bump had actually ended up being more of a cliff for now it seemed but later he hoped they would be able to build a bridge and get through this no matter what. Even with everything that had happened quite recently, Rylie was the one person he trusted above all else as he still knew very well that she was a genuine person and if he had the chance to reject the crown in order to be with her, he would have probably taken it although this was not an option since he was the first in line for the throne and he knew that this thought lacked basically all reality in it. That would have never been an option for him really but he would just have to figure a way to work things out with the here and now. There was no changing what was already done, just working to improve what would happen.
Talking to her was slowly getting easier as he was allowing it to progress although he knew there was a line that he could not cross so he kept the eye contact with her at a minimum seeing as this could tend to be quite the weakness on his side. The unimportant and generally dull subjects did not meet their general standards as it was something relaxing to him, just being able to hear her speak to him and feeling as though things were a bit better between them now. It was amazing how much of a relief to him this was even though he was the exact reason why they had not been speaking in the first place. Now he was already looking past this as he really could not even think of why he would stop talking to her at this point as there was definitely no reason for such foolishness. He had gone through a pouting phase which he realized by now of course and it was time to move beyond that, to actually try rather than give up. When he told her about struggling in a few of his classes, he was not sure if he should ask her for help or just get a tutor but was surprised when she spoke up inside. That, he thought, would work much better. She did appear a little apprehensive and he was pleased to see her seem a little more comfortable as he took her up on the offer. Maybe this would help lighten things between them as well, this he dearly hoped.
The horse appeared slightly better at least seeing as he was no longer listless and now just standing there quietly. Nonetheless Bentley had every intention of staying the night, thank goodness he did not have classes the following morning. There was a deep connection between the gelding and he and Zar truly was his most valuable item in his possession as the horse was much more than an animal to him and would be irreplaceable. He'd been riding the horse for over ten years now and there was an understanding between the pair. He could see the way she and Cayo was very comparable to the bond with his own horse and respected this from when they had first run into one another on the trail. She stayed near the horse even after he sat down and while he was curious about this, did not question it as he ate a bit of the dinner that was there for him.Once she sat back across from him, he could not help but ask about the necklace and when something registered across her face, he almost feared that she had lost in. Instead she stated ut was never taken off before then proceeding to reveal it from being hidden beneath her shirt. He was puzzled as she again looked remorseful and then stated something about understanding that he would want it back. Shaking his head quickly as she stepped forward, he gently pushed her hand away while she tried to put the necklace back in his possession. I would never want to take it back from you. He uttered gently. It was a gift for you and will always remain that way, keep it please. Small smile appeared across his features at this, being entirely honest about this. Truly he did like the fact that she had it as a reminder and it would not be something he would forget either. To him it was almost a symbol of hope in order to look towards what could come later on. Plus I have a feeling that it would not look nearly as flattering on me nor would I see it as starting any sort of new fad... Chuckling lightly, he was hoping to revive her spirits as he hated that he had made them hit a dead end yet again. He was too good at that by far and decided to be more careful with what he said even though it was difficult to think of what was safe and what was not. I really do appreciate that you came out here, but you're more than welcome to go back to your dorm or wherever you would like. This was said just to inform her of the fact that she did not have to stay if she did not want to.
