This Romeo is bleeding....
but you can't see his blood- - - - - - - Azereux had been at Vineheart now a week and none of the staff had stopped by to say hello. It was criminal, really. He'd gone from social butterfly and rock star to trying to impress a bunch of boring bookworms. The sun's glare was pinching at his eyes so Azer wore dark sunglasses. His hair was professional enough, hanging just below his ears. He was wearing a black shirt with a red and black striped blazer. He called it cool-casual. The Principal hadn't thought it inappropriate and it was him who organized Azer's paycheck. Azer was used to concert lights but the blazing sun bothered him, he couldn't wait to get this mini meet-and-greet overwith. He figured in order to become acquainted with the other members of staff at Vineheart he needed to introduce himself. It was a weekend however and Azer was impatient. So he was visiting their homes instead.
He'd already scanned what he had to work with. The only woman so far that caught his eye was Brynlee but he'd broke up with her when she determinedly saved herself for marriage. So there was no fun to be had at Vineheart for his libido. What kind of sucker waited until marriage anyway? Naturally he had to tone down everything that was him when he was being interviewed for the job but thankfully Azer didn't see many candidates ready to put in the work as musical activities director. Azer wasn't surprised, he hadn't eyed any talent yet. Still, there was a nice glow that came from earning his money. He considered keeping this job up for a while. He'd also decided that it was best he had someone to talk to besides Brynlee. He observed the way she backed away when he made advances and Azer couldn't help but make advances. That was just him, so for his job's sake he had to cool it.
Azer arrived at Ms Hodgins home via car. Azer couldn't help but remember a time he couldn't afford to rent a car, much less own one. Money for a car was another thing his mother kept in a piggy bank with his college funds and it seemed like got less empty every time his father spent any time in his room. Now he had money, excuse his materialistic nature, but he believed that he should always enjoy the money that he didn't always have. Azer was no sucker. He knocked on the woman's door, not sure really what he was expecting. Some woman in her thirties that looked like she lived in a library was probably the closest to what he was assuming. He also took into account that she was the Calculus teacher. Who in the world would dedicate their life to Math? Boring. He'd not believed Bryn before when she told him she'd had no sexual relations with anyone but looking at the teachers male/female at vineheart, now he wasn't at all surprised.

I wanted love but all I got was nothing Halle had finally gotten settled in her house. She was brand new to Vineheart, but was confident the entire way through the interview process. It was rare to find a person as dedicated to mathematics as Halle was. She had committed her entire education to the love of mathematics and actually had a doctorate in the subject. Most people found mathematics boring and dry, but to Halle, it was exciting. And, on top of that, she was the anti-stereotype math nerd. No pocket protector or tape on the glasses for this girl. She was almost fancy sometimes, and she was never awkward. And she wasn’t the geek that would trip over her own feet when running. In fact, Halle was quite athletic, but her main focus was dancing, of all persuasions.
In fact, she was in the middle of dancing around the kitchen as she was cooking on this night. She was baking a cake and making some homemade vegetable soup. As she was dancing around – to the song “Moves like Jagger” by Maroon5 – she heard a knock at the door. She glanced at her clock and wondered who would be at her place – hopefully it wasn’t one of those Jehovah’s Witness people. She just wasn’t in the mood to turn someone down who just wanted to spread the word of their religion. However, she never understood those people. She didn’t shove her religion down their throats. At any rate, she just silently prayed to her God that this wasn’t the case at this moment.
As she walked down the hall towards the door, she took a glance at herself in the mirror. Her hair was in a messy pony-tail, but her jeans and shirt looked fine. Her makeup was good, but it was late in the day so it wasn’t perfect. But, eh, it didn’t matter. The only people that mattered that knew where she lived were Nathan and Klara, but she wouldn’t care if she answered the door when it was one of them and she had forgotten to brush her teeth; those two wouldn’t have cared. But they would have called before showing up, so she popped a mint from the dish near the door – just in case.
She opened the door and smiled at the beautiful stranger that stood in front of her. Heck – she was 29, not dead. But she wasn’t sure who this person was or why he was there, so she didn’t open the door the entire way. “Hi?” She was unsure.

This Romeo is bleeding....
but you can't see his blood- - - - - - - Azer frowned as she opened the door. That wasn't right. He had scanned all the women in the music departments, english departments, science departments, history departments. None of them looked attractive, where had this one been hiding? He hadn't bothered to look at the Math geeks - was she a Math geek? After a second or two though he realized that in a school with so little worthwhile conquests this one probably had a lot of competitors. "Hi, I'm sorry to bother - My name is Azereux Hardy. I'm the new Musical Activities Director and I was just looking to get to know the other staff." he delivered with grace. Even if he was forbidding himself to be another customer for what this woman had in store, the point still stood that he needed to know some of the staff if his time at Vineheart was going to become bearable.
Maybe she could shed some light on why she dedicated herself to Mathematics. After all, Azer couldn't see the appeal. It all looked like tricky algebraic formulas that held no virtue in the reality of the world. He was willing to be proven wrong but he really didn't find Maths all that interesting. It was only when he properly had a chance to look upon her face that he noticed she was wearing make-up. It was subtly done, Azer could naturally see when a woman had piled on as much as she could. He hated faces completely painted on by make-up, he preferred subtle tones and a natural look. It gave the distinction to Azer that this person didn't need help enhancing their beauty, it already existed.
His eyes didn't leave hers, he was still in astonishment that this teacher was attractive. The only other female that set his libido humming was Bryn but he'd broken up with her. "So, how was heaven when you left it?" he asked as if it was a completely normal question and not a pick-up line. To add to the mix, he couldn't hear any sound from inside the house apart from music. So she lived alone. Nice. When Azer was studying at college he shared an apartment with eleven different people and it was a nightmare - he seduced six of them. Forwarding on, he wondered if he had earned enough to be let in. If not, well, they could still talk outside.
