She had always thought that the Royals would look down on the servants though she was quickly learning that a lot of them were friends and very close, she had even seen a couple that were dating servants and while she would never go that far she did not have a problem with being close with the boys, they looked at her as a sort of sister, someone that they would be able to come to for advice. Matvei was her number one priority but she was a good listener and had gained the trust of both Cisco as he liked to be called and Edon the Albanian prince. Cooking and baking was something that she had enjoyed from a young age since her mother tended to work late so she had gotten into the habit of cooking and baking for both her and her mother. Baking was something she tended to do in her spare time and something that was relaxing for her. So there were always baked treats around the dorm room though they did not last long with Mat and Cisco, they were lucky that they were both involved in a lot of sports or she would be responsible for two very overweight princes. Really while she had never admitted it to anyone her dream would be one day owning her own bakery back in Russia, they seemed to be lacking in the way of good places for baked goods and she knew of a perfect location, but really all of that had changed since she was now serving Matvei and this was something that was just as exciting to her since it was like being around a close friend more than being a servant. Sure she did assist him in whatever he needed and tried her best to even do things that he did not ask of her but this still left her with a lot of time for herself and who could argue about going to one of the best schools that her family would not have been able to afford without the job. Her alarm clock was ringing once again since she had just bothered to put it on snooze, even though it was a Saturday morning she was surprised that she had slept long enough to even manage to hear it without turning it off first. She had a habit of waking at the crack of dawn almost every morning though last night there had been a late night dance practice that had gone even longer then it was supposed to have and every muscle ached as she swung her legs off the side of her bed making sure to turn the alarm off before it ended up waking the other two people she shared the dorm with. It would be a long while before either of the two boys would be up so she knew that she needed to get out of their room before she ended up waking either of them up. Dressing in her clothing choice for the day she stepped out into the hallway with no real destination in mind. She needed breakfast though before her stomach was going to start to protest the fact that her last meal had been early the night before, long before she had gone to the dance practice. She had loved it though, she did not really know what to expect from the dance team but she had danced all her life since really there was not too much else that you could be involved with in the way of sports in Russia over the winter. The small dance studio at the end of the street had been the place that she tended to go to and they had taught her everything from hip hop to the more classical and elegant dances. The only part of the dance classes that she was going to be a little nervous about was the fact that all the ‘Queens’ were involved and a part of it though she did tend to be able to blend into the shadows well and just enjoy herself. The hallways were almost empty at this time of the day the people that were up tended to have a purpose to their madness as well since they were either studying or getting ready for a day out to have an early start. She did not have a reason to be up and knew that this would be thought of by most people as crazy, she was a teenager was she not supposed to be sleeping in every chance that she got? That was not Dasia’s style though and if she did tend to sleep in she would be lethargic for the rest of the day and feel as though she had missed out on the vast majority of the day, it was simply not right for her. Reaching the cafeteria it was not her favourite day for breakfast, that was Sundays where there were chocolate chip pancakes, in Russia this was something that was so absurd and her mother had been shocked when she had told her about this, so of course over the summer she had prepared the breakfast and soon enough she was not the only one that loved the concept of chocolate pancakes. American food was so different than what she was used to in Russia and tended to be a lot more commercialized when she was used to home cooked meals so that was one of the reasons she tried her best to cook whenever she got the chance to break up the many meals that were eaten at the cafeteria even though they tended to have a big variety it was just not quite the same, but she knew that once school really got going that she was not going to have the time that she did right now. As she arrived at the cafeteria she grabbed a plate with breakfast on it and situated herself at the back of the room close to the windows that overlooked the courtyard and watched as the rain pelted against the glass ruining her hopes that that it might be clear out so that she would be able to go and practice soccer. |
