Run and tell all of the angels... For the first time in his life, Bentley felt socially lost. Not entirely as it was not like he was a loner throughout the school or anything, he was just taking the situations with his little sister and his servant a bit difficulty as he hated knowing someone was mad at him. Yet he had messed up in both situations and he realized this now yet there was not much he could do. At least he was still on good terms with Marie for now, this was a positive thing to be aware of. He'd attempted to apologize to Reena before but that had not worked and he had yet to even try to face Rylie. And when he picked up Tristan, he was not quite sure where they were left at after that. He wanted all of these things fixed but he had no clue what he was to do and well he really did not know if there was anyone he could even bother to talk to about this. The way he was acting most of the time he knew was pathetic, he could tell by the way that Ric looked at him and well he felt quite pathetic with the way he moped around as well. He'd gotten better now that routine at Vineheart was continuing on again as he was able to readjust him to the school schedule and keep him busy between school and sports. It was a temporary outlet to focus himself and get his mind off of things and it seemed to work for the time being.
Soccer was one of his outlets as he had tried out for the team yet again and made it, and this was taken seriously above all else as he loved the sport and always had.Of course school work was being taken somewhat seriously as he knew it was about time he started focusing on such requirements otherwise it was nearly a guarantee that his parents would act out in one way or another. If he was going to be king of France, he most definitely needed to be a properly educated one so it was about time he actually did apply himself and his knowledge into his work ethic. His homework would be viewed later on though as he he wanted to enjoy what was left of the day before the sunset behind the mountains. Playing in a t-shirt and shorts he was very precise with his movements as the ball was dribbled back and forth and kicked at the goal to give himself some entertainment. He thought out different scenarios in order to be ready to approach the goal as necessary just in case the opportunity presented itself in a game. While he was playing soccer, all other thoughts were aside as he was pretty good about blocking things out then and simply focusing on the sport.
Something stirred his focus and as he went to kick the ball, it did not go in the direction in which he had originally planned and he then noticed a familiar face lurking about. The ball ended up rolling in the direction of his little sister's arranged fiance and he was not sure how this was going to play out now. Hey, Tristan. He called out in a friendly tone, hoping that the other might be less angered with him over the entire engagement deal by now.At least they still had plenty of time to work things out for now, more than he could say for himself as his personal life appeared almost hopeless at this point he thought bitterly. Perhaps Jacintha would just arrange another marriage and it would put him out of his misery for all the stresses that came along with relationships, this he could only hope at this point. Girls were far too difficult to please so therefore it may have made his life a bit easier had he just agreed to something she set up and then life with it the rest of his life. He could never result to that, ever. He was just being bitter now as he knew very well he could never stomach the thought of being set into some type of relationship he did not want, instead he was faking one in order to try to replace the one he wanted; lovely.

Tristan wasn’t in the best of moods. His earlier talk with Aniela was still repeating in his mind. Her telling him that Reena preferred bad boys to him. That she was upset about missing her chance of love. Aniela had also insulted Tristan greatly and had even called him a doormat. I’m not a doormat, I’m not a dominating guy but I’m not that bad. Am i? Tristan wondered as he wandered over to the gym. In one of very few occasions Tristan was suffering from self-doubt. He had been certain that it was at least possible for Reena to like him in the same way he liked her. That opinion had been completely dashed that day in the same building he was now in.
He had been so wrapped up in his thoughts that he didn’t realize that he wasn’t alone. To make it more awkward the person who called his name was Bentley. The source of a great many of his problems came from Bentley setting up him and Reena. Tristan was far too dejected to be in an angry mood however. He had mostly forgiven Bentley anyway. Although not happy that he was forced into an arranged marriage Tristan was still happy it was to Reena rather than anyone else. Not that she’s going to go through with it or anything Tristan reminded himself.
”Hey Bentley… How’ve you been?” Tristan asked him casually. He really wanted to ask why he picked him to be Reena’s husband and why Reena seemed to be against the idea so much. After his last meeting with Bentley though he didn’t know how to proceed with him. They had an awkward car drive and that was that. He hadn’t properly forgiven Bentely anyway. ”I’ve been better really” Tristan admitted. ”Just heard some bad news is all. Plus there’s the whole ‘I’m going to fail school’ problem” he laughed.

Run and tell all of the angels... Lately Bentley had not been in the best of spirits either after all that had happened in France that no one besides he and Rylie knew. Now was time to look past this though as he did not want to continue moping over this subject as he realized exactly how obvious and childish it was and sooner or later someone was bound to notice. Actually he knew for a fact that his room mate probably had already figured something was up and that was one person too many that needed to know. Nobody else could find out, end of story. So for now he was applying his time and concentration to schoolwork and sports more than before and still it was not quite a great effort or very entertaining, both served as purposeful distractions for the time being. Soon he would be back to his normal self, at least this he hoped greatly that something would change the way things were going. Sooner or later something would give in. At least for now Aniela seemed interested in him so therefore he had to have something going for him at least. Girls were just....complicated and so now he needed to focus on soccer rather than such foolish things.
Once his soccer session came to end, he noticed Tristan walking past and decided to try to see if he could clear things up between them a little after the awkward drive back in France. He understood both Tristan and Reena's irritation towards him and everything though he personally believed that Reena may have been pushing the matter a little too far as he had tried to apologize and explain multiple times yet she never listened to him of course which drove him insane. It was impossible to try and make up for this situation and he knew it, but he was still going to try as he did believe he had made a good choice in this and hoped that sooner or later both Tristan and Reena would come to understand this. If not, they would have to figure out a way to handle it.He really did want them to see what was behind it all as he had figured things were there behind them and until the announcement it had been quite clear although he knew that Reena and he had the same similarities. If he was in this situation, he would have been in denial to have this all announced publicly before deciding so himself. They were young which added into the misunderstanding of this also, they just would have to get used to it some time.
To his surprise, Tristan appeared to be in a decent mood compared to the last time Bentley had seen him as the younger replied as though he was not hating him right now which was a relief. One less person seemingly no longer mad at him actually made quite the difference in his mind. I've been alright, thanks for asking.Yourself? He admitted in a sociable tone.He might be able to have a decent conversation with Tristan now and right now talking seemed like a very good idea as long as it was not with certain people. In response to Tristan's explanation he nodded, pausing for a moment before looking at him with a small frown. Bad news? Is something up with Reena? He asked, worrying about his family was actually something he could be notorious for. The prince adored both of his sisters even though they were not always on the best terms and right now he never knew what could be up with the youngest as he did not have any instantaneous connections with her at the moment. Catching the second part about failing school, Bentley could relate without much of an explanation. His problem had been short attention span and just being flat out lazy;it was not until now, his senior year, that he actually had decided to start working towards better grades and getting help. Tristan, I hate to sound like I'm nagging you but I've been in your shoes. If you're having trouble with school work, don't be afraid to get help. You do not want to have to do repeat work over the summer, it's not fun at all. Waiting a minute for these words to settle a bit more, he then came up with what he thought to be a genius plan. Plus I'm sure you and Reena could study together.... He added with a raised brow and a small chuckle, trying to keep the topic light somewhat as he did not like to act as though he was Tristan's mother but he was being honest with him at the same time. He'd been there before and did not want to see his younger sister's fiance face the same fate he had.

"I've been better. Things haven't been going my way recently" Tristan told him. After the Aniela incident Tristan had been doubting his own judgement a lot. He was wondering what else he had been wrong about. "Nothings up with Reena. Not that i know about at least. Things are pretty much as they were" Tristan shrugged. The implication of course was that she still wasn't happy with Bentley. After what Aniela said she heard Tristan was feling sorry for Bentley. It was very unlikely Reena would be forgiving Bentley any time soon.
Tristan could tell Bentley was hopeful for a reconciliation by the sociable tone he was using. He was too distracted to be angry at that moment and so decided to give the him a little potion of forgiveness before continuing. "I know why you did it you know... I just wish you had told me i was getting married before you told everyone else" Tristan laughed. "Just a shame it hasn't worked out as well as you thought it would." Tristan commented. Marriage was maybe a little far but dating Reena was something he was all for. If only she felt the same way... he thought.
"Wow studying science, no wonder your single if thats your idea of a date." Tristan joked. He may have partially admitted liking Reena just then but since it wasn't going to happen he wasn't too concerned. Bentley was probably one of the seemingly numerous people who knew he liked her before he did. Tristan wasn't particularly happy that no-one had thought to tell him that he was in love with his best friend. I would like to have been told he thought to himself. Then again since Reena doesn't like me back it may have been for the best... he thought.

Run and tell all of the angels... I know the feeling. Bentley replied with a small shrug as he felt apathetic, wishing he could give Tristan some better advice than that but really right now he was in no position to give anyone advice. If anything, he was in need of advice in order to try and make things right again on multiple accounts. Right now it did appear as though his future brother-in-law was warming back up to him sort of which was quite the relief actually. Among Reena's circle of friends, Tristan had always been the French prince's favorite and then again he had always watched how close the two had been the entire time which had lead to why he chose Tristan among others for Reena's engagement. When it was said that Reena was fine, Bentley was able to relax as surely if something had happened he would have been informed earlier and not be the last to hear about things like that. Of course he had overreacted but at the same time he wanted to know exactly what was going on with his sisters at all times.Though Tris did not appear too confident in his response as though something had gotten between the two of them recently although he did not want to speak up and question this as he was sure that both wanted him out of their personal business ever since the engagement. He was not going to give up hope on forgiveness at this time, he had realized he needed to be patient with his youngest sister at this time and understood her reaction as he had been in similar situations himself. The latest having involved Pirzi over the summer and the disaster that had would have been. Having a decision such as marriage made for you was not something that was considered to be at all fun.
He really was trying to let things return to normal and not step on anyone's toes by being cautious about all of this in order to let things return to the way they had been originally. While there were times he did not stand by his own decisions, the majority of the time he stood by this choice as he felt it had been appropriate and at the time had not been letting his mother make one of the arrangements she had had in mind. So therefore this was why he had taken the situation into his own hands.Looking over towards Tristan, he frowned as he did not entirely know why exactly he had not informed either party of this beforehand when he really should have. Obviously this had been a very large mistake on his behalf. I did not think it through to that point and I apologize rather late for not doing so. I'm sorry for the mess this has caused but I could just not allow for her to be with those who my mother was considering. He stated honestly, understanding entirely where he was coming from. Brow rose when Tristan stated it was a shame that it had not worked out so well. Just give Reena some time, she'll adjust; I'm sure both of you guys will work it out. It's a big deal and all, I know but I did not want her to end up the same way I probably will, most likely not even meeting my bride prior to meeting her at the altar. The last part he added as a small joke though it failed to amuse him as he realized as that was what it would most likely come to later on for him but he could not think of that now. Things will work out in the end. He murmured, half to himself in hopes that they would on multiple accounts.A quiet laugh was mustered as Tristan joked about why Bentley was still single. Hey now, girls tend to like studying Chemistry for some reason. He joked along as well, in light spirits as of now.

Tristan was confused when Bentley talked about others Reena’s mother was considering. ”Considering for what?” he asked curiously. Tristan was very naive on royal matters, he didn’t understand very well why things like arranged marriages happened. He saw it as a simple case of parental, or sibling in this case, interference. The positives for the family in general like better royal links and greater influence were things he didn’t consider much. ”I never understood the point of arranged marriages anyway. It’s not like I’d have married some alcoholic criminal... Unless someone dared me too” Tristan laughed at the thought. Her staggering down the aisle and then stealing the ring and running off.
”I’m not so sure anymore. It seems that she’s more against the idea than I had thought” Tristan sighed. After Aniela’s words Tristan’s self-confidence had taken a battering. The problem was she seemed to know the exact worst thing to say to hurt him. Reena couldn’t have said anything worse to make it seem hopeless Tristan thought to himself. It seemed a perfect storm of disinterest in Tristan, a preference for people completely unlike Tristan and sadness at the arranged marriage in general. It couldn’t get any worse... Why does she still act like she might like me though? Tristan thought confusedly.
Tristan shook his head at Bentely’s knowledge of women. ”Please if you meet any girl that finds chemicals and test tubes attractive then I’ll run outside naked... Unless it’s cold that day” Tristan laughed again. He tended to drop in a few jokes whenever he talked to anyone. He didn’t like the completely serious approach. ”What about your luck with girls? Anyone you got your eye on?” Tristan asked, aware of how long it had been since he had had proper guy talk. His sisters were great to talk to but he’d missed having another guy to talk too.

Run and tell all of the angels... Lately Bentley had tried to get through to Reena though it only appeared that her anger at him had grown and of course it continued to make him feel like shit. It was something he was trying to get used to though since it did not appear as though it was about to lighten up any time soon. Maybe years down the road or something, but for now he was definitely just going to have to deal with it. He still had Marie who was on good terms with him for now at least. He knew better than to try arranging anything for her and he had not wanted to for Reena in the first place, but this had been just to foil his mother's plans. When Bentley brought this up, he could see Tristan's confusion and thought a moment before deciding what he was going to tell the younger prince exactly. The Queen was already looking into arranging a marriage for Reena with another prince. Well she had several picked out but I was not about to allow any of them to happen. He stated with a small shrug, looking back and reflecting on his decision yet again. How would Reena have felt had she been arranged to a stranger rather than Tristan? This was not something he could tell for certain of course.Quiet chuckle was uttered at the Irish prince's next comment with a small nod. I really don't understand them either. Something about the 'prestigious blood' in my mother's words. I do not think the people would have a preference so long as it was someone who would respect and care for the country. It was hard to say, just a practice that had been passed down for generations.
Hearing Tristan state that he was not sure about Reena, Bentley was not certain as to what to say. Reena would come around, wouldn't she? She's just adjusting to all of this. It's kind of a large thing to get used to... He stated quietly, actually hoping that the two would be able to figure things out as he knew they had the potential to really. It was just going to take time, hopeully. But he was not going to crush Tristan's hopes as he could see that he appeared to be taking this a bit roughly and understood the feeling. Try surprising her with something maybe...or maybe take her out on a date to a scary movie? Trying to think about what Reena might like, he was trying to give Tristan some pointers that might help him out. He wanted to help this situation, even if it had to be indirect and that Reena could not know that it was his doing. Just don't tell her it was my idea, that probably wont do you anything good. Chuckling as though this was funny, this was the extent of his advice for right then.
So maybe chemistry was not the greatest idea of a date, but he had been thinking this simply because there had been times where he had help studying from Rylie but nothing had come of this other than a small hope. It was only in random movies and such that chemistry tended to be romantic or whatever and he laughed along with what was said in response. Hmm....that could be interesting for the gossip blog. He stated jokingly. When the subject changed to Bentley and his luck with girls, he was quiet while figuring out something that would be good enough to say. Well I'm not exactly lucky myself in that area... Trailing off for a moment and deciding what to end with. There's one I've got my eye on, though it's more complicated than anything so I have no clue. There's nothing I can do about it for now. Leaving it at that, he frowned but did not want to think about it much since it would just down his mood.
