We just now got the feeling that we’re meeting for the first time. She declined his date. Tanner frowned and looked at the gear shifter, defeated. He knew that it was too good to be true – all of this fun that they were having. Tanner had asked girls out before – to dances, movies, parties – but it was all light hearted for him. He hadn’t seen any future with all of those girls. Aniela, however, he had been picturing a future with since he laid eyes on her. She was his biggest crush, and he wanted this so badly. And, the entire day, since they went flying down that dirt road, he had been picturing what their date would be, and he had the perfect idea. But apparently, she wasn’t into him like he thought she might be.
“Was my kiss insufficient?” He looked at her, basically asking what the problem was. “Or am I not good enough for you?” He bit his lip a little. That took balls to ask because he could, inevitably, not like the answer that she provided. He could be left with the answer that she was just using him to get out of class or because she pitied him because of the punch she landed in his face.
Aniela requested that Tanner took her back to her dorm, taking off his coat – signaling that what they had going on that day was over. His heart sunk. But he slowly turned and stared out of the front window, hand around the keys, ready to ignite the engine. Before he could turn the key (because, subconsciously, he was avoiding it), Aniela said that she rather like being taken advantage of, and he shook his head a little. The girl needed to see how she deserved to be treated – that being with all of these guys, no matter how far they did or didn’t go, wasn’t the way she should be. She deserved better.
But Tanner knew that the only way to hook her was to be a little more assertive than he normally was. He wrestled in his mind about it, and just as he turned to grab her, she was out of the car and walking. He got out of the car and followed her, his long strides allowing him to catch up with her quickly. Silently, he made his way to her, grabbing her by the wrist, twisting her around to face him.
His lips met with hers quickly and almost forcefully. As he kissed her, he finally let go of her wrist to put his hands on her hips, lifting her quickly so that he could throw her over his shoulder. Carrying her back to the car like this, he said, “You are not walking through that forest alone. It’s getting dark. And we’re going back to the car.”
When they got back to the car, instead of opening the front passenger’s door, he opened the back door. Putting Aniela’s feet back to the ground, he placed a passionate kiss on her mouth and then picked her up and put her in the car as he got in after her, shutting the door behind them.
This was territory that Tanner had never treaded in before. He was not skilled in the department of “fooling around in the back seat of the car”. But he had fooled around with girls on couches before, and it couldn’t be much different. It was if it went any further then he would be lost – Aniela would have to teach him a lot.
He took a deep, nervous breath, taking a momentary pause from kissing her. “Tell me exactly what you want me to do because I don’t want to cross a line here.”

In case his kissing skills were called into question at any stage, he corrected any doubt in her mind by the dominant, assertive kissing style that greeted her entirely by surprise. She knew without question that she wanted him. She couldn't even try to deny it or push him away. Releasing a short moan as the kiss came to an abrupt end she panted "Your kissing is not insufficient." something close to a smile spread across her face. A small brightness that wasn't quite a smile. It quickly turned to shock as he lifted her. She was too curious to complain, Tanner hadn't done anything like this all night. He didn't take control. Now he was taking control, it was kind of a turn on. If he hadn't just stuck his tongue down her throat then she would've commented that the authoritative tone was over-mature. After all what were the odds anything was actually in the forest waiting to hurt her?
Besides, it wasn't that dark, considering she'd been out until the early hours of the morning before. But with him taking control she just couldn't bring herself to argue and she loved it. She kissed him back with hunger and passion, he was like a craving. But when they were in the car, kissing, alone, a thought hit her. When he moved in to kiss her further her fingers went up to his lips to stop him. "Tanner, if we went all the way... would I be your first?" she whispered beneath him. If he had never been that intimate with a woman before, Aniela wasn't sure if she could take away something so preserved in the back seat of his car. It was presumed when she bedded someone more confident than Tanner that he'd offered himself to others before. She didn't get the vibe from Tanner that he did this a lot.
She could feel his nervous breath on her skin. Some impulse caused her to bring her hand up to his face and affectionately caress his cheek. "I don't want you to do something you'll regret." she kissed him again, a more gentle and soft kiss. Her arms wrapped around him like a safety net, like he was keeping her on earth. It felt natural to want him, but she didn't want anything to happen that he didn't want as well. Which was weird - since when did she care? Normally all she cared about was how good they were, that would if any be the only reason she would inquire about how many a person had been with before. She prayed Tanner had at least fooled around before. There was a part of her, actually a huge part of her, that didn't feel like she deserved to be anybody's first at anything.
She brought her hand back down and placed it by her side. Her hair had come completely undone by now and it lay in a wavy coil down her back. It looked silky yet wild. Her legs wrapped tight around him, binding him to her body. All she knew was that she wanted to be joined with this man in the most basic and primitive way.

We just now got the feeling that we’re meeting for the first time. Tanner was informed that his kissing was entirely sufficient, so a small smile tried to escape, but instead he asked, “So, am I insufficient?” It was stupid to ask the question again, but he needed to know what to do to win her over. He didn’t want to go against his morals and treat her like something he was going to throw away, but he didn’t know what made her get up and leave the car. They were having a good time, and his showing her respect made her not want him. Then he realized that maybe – just maybe – she never wanted him in the first place. Maybe Aniela was using him. So, if that was the case, why should he give a crap how he treated her, if it was only going to end after a night or so of fooling around? Tanner decided to step out of his comfort zone.
And he was doing fine outside of the comfort zone. Things were moving forward, but only this time, it was Aniela who asked for a pause in the action. When she placed her fingers to his lips, Tanner kissed them only half paying attention to the question until it actually registered in his head what she had actually said. Would she be his first? How was he going to answer this without being a total loser? Well, honesty is always the best policy. “I’ve done everything but that, so yeah. You would be my first, Aniela.” She then said that she didn’t want him to regret anything. He kissed her hand after she touched his cheek, and he smiled. “I regret nothing that I have ever done. And I won’t regret anything I do with you.” He lifted his shirt up over his head and threw it on the front seat. “Just go easy on me, Aniela.” He smiled, as he looked in her eyes; he had never been so sure that breaking the rules that he had set for himself was going to be so fulfilling.
He pushed some hair behind her ear. “Shouldn’t hide such a beautiful face behind your hair.” Kissing her cheek and then placing a gentle kiss on her lips, Tanner paused to say, “The only thing I would ever regret with you would be if I held back. I can’t hold back with you.” One of his hands rested on her thigh, and he looked her in the eyes. “I want you more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my entire life. I want this.” Tanner had made his decision before Aniela even got out of the car to walk away from him; in fact, he had made his decision sometime when they were dancing in the bar. Her hands on him felt like home. In each other’s arms is where they belonged, and there was no way that he was going to let that go. Tanner planned on doing everything he possibly could to keep Aniela in his life.
His first time was going to be full of nerves, but he knew that no matter what or no matter whom it was with, he was going to be nervous. But he also knew that the nerves were over the top because he wanted to be with Aniela so badly for so long. He felt like they were connected as more than just two kids that have class together that happened to go get drunk and ended up in the back seat of the car. No. To Tanner, this was much more, and it was going to be much more.

Aniela endured Tanner's insecure question in an agony of sensual anticipation. "Your not insufficient. Your Tanner. And I like him very much ok?" her voice was soothing, so unlike her. She kissed him reassuringly, a timeless kiss like a wife might give to her husband after fifty struggling years of marriage. No doubt they'd have their struggles before they even got that far, Aniela was certain of it. She still had the problem of what her parents were going to do once they saw her again. Aniela had it narrowed to either taking her out of Vineheart, throwing her into a marriage or hiring someone to keep strict eye on her. None of those scenarios sounded like this thing with Tanner could go anywhere, even though she wanted it to.
There were so many things she wanted to say, so much emotion she needed to express. So many things she didn't even know how to tell him. All her life she'd used words to seduce. Kissing Tanner now, she felt vulnerable. Woefully inadequate. It was getting increasingly harder to hide as her ability to feel was leaking out of her warm and inviting kisses. Her eyes were losing the icy steel that made them scare. It was frightening to feel this close to someone. It was like getting a taste of touching with feeling, it was more complicated but more fulfilling. There was more warmth and closeness than she'd ever felt her entire life. These were some of the few things she wanted to say to him but couldn't. Because of pride. Because of fear. Because it couldn't possibly be real.
Aniela could've slapped herself when Tanner told her that he'd never regret anything he did with her. Her stupid eyes pricked with the smallest watery layer. How lame. Time seemed to be moving slower, like the world had all the time for them. With a defensive smirk she replied "Going easy isn't what I'm good at." and she went on to prove that. Her clothes came off. Her hands were in his hair, then on his shoulders, she kissed savagely. Biting, licking, feasting as she met each move he made with the same frantic desperation. Nobody could say she was a passive lover but they couldn't say she was a boring one either. She knew exactly what she liked and drove herself to paradise - with Tanner's help. It was primal and out of control, sex as its most basic. A slaking of a physical need that was stronger than both of them.
And it was uniquely him. Sex with Tanner was unlike anything she'd ever felt before. Her heart was now pounding heavily against his chest in the aftermath. She pulled herself out from beneath him. Leaning back against the seat, she closed her weary eyes. Sleep deprivation was not something she usually suffered from but she was feeling it dragging her down after that exercise.

We just now got the feeling that we’re meeting for the first time. Yes! Tanner thought to himself as she finally admitted that she liked him. Then she kissed him – and oh, was it a kiss! It was so many kisses to Tanner – all rolled into one. It reassured him that she wanted him; it directed him to move forward; she filled the kiss with passion, so Tanner threw all he had in that one kiss. But that one kiss wasn’t just any kiss or a single kiss. Things just spiraled out of control after that.
She told him that she wasn’t going to go easy on him, but Tanner didn’t mind. “I’m yours to use as you please, Aniela.” And it was the truth. Tanner didn’t care what she did; he just wanted to see her as happy as she could possibly be. But Tanner couldn’t hide how nervous he really was. Was this a dream? Was he really in this position with Aniela? Time held a paradox for him – it was moving painfully slowly and unforgivingly too fast. His mind couldn’t make up what to do with time. But, according to Doctor Who, time was all wibbly-wobbly anyways, so Tanner just decided to forget about concentrating on time.
As soon as Aniela’s clothes came off, Tanner rushed to strip the rest of his off. He was sure that he looked like a fool, but he didn’t think that Aniela was really paying attention to the way that he took off his clothes. The way that they kissed once there was nothing between them – it was animalistic. As if they hadn’t evolved as far as humans have. The windows fogged from the heat between them, leaving one of Tanner’s handprints in the driver’s side window when Tanner had used it for balance at one point.
Tanner knew his strengths – and all the foreplay stuff, that’s what he was good at because it was what he had the most practice at. He made sure that Aniela had her fill of all of that before they moved on. He knew how things would go if he hadn’t made her happy first – especially since she was his first. Heavy breathing, moaning, and pounding heart beats filled the car, and there wasn’t a single ounce of regret to be found.
As Aniela wiggled her way out from under Tanner, he leaned over and kissed her forehead. He saw Aniela close her eyes, and he touched her chin. “Let’s get dressed, and I’ll take you home.” He kissed her nose and then her lips, very gently. He slid his clothes back on, and, when she was dressed, they got back into the front seats of the car, and Tanner started to drive back to Vineheart. “I can’t believe that it’s completely dark out now.” He reached over and took her hand as he drove. When he drove away from school, he floored it, but now, he drove at a safe pace so that he could have more time with Aniela.
When they got back to campus, he walked her up to her dorm, and when they got to the door, he tugged on her arm gently, so that she wouldn’t go in. He kissed her, holding onto her tightly, and then he asked, “Can I get a date, Aniela?” Then he added a gentle, “Please?”

Anything he told her after she laid against the seat came out as gibberish as her eyes began to close. She did find it funny though that before anything happened he'd been dying to take her clothes off and now she wasn't allowed to stay naked a single second longer. She told herself that was just because she was clearly tired and was ready for bed - the other kind of bed. When she thought about how many times she'd brought Li there it made her shudder a little going back to her dorm and lying in it. Her room wouldn't be Tanner-friendly unless she got rid of the bed, the desk, the window, the wardrobe and the ropes. Her eyes scarcely opened as she put her clothes on. It was like she'd taken a legendary dose of sleeping pills. If she were to think about time she'd think of the space-time continuum, a more formal model for time than the wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey theory used in Doctor Who.
Shutting her eyes again when she was loaded into the front seat of the car, she didn't even realize Tanner was holding her hand. She was even sure that she dozed off a little, or at least entered a subconscious realm where she couldn't remember the world. She turned in the seat and lifted her smooth hand for her cheek to rest on. But she was perked up slightly once they parked at Vineheart, the little sleep seemed to have fueled enough energy in her to reach the bed. She moved to walk into her dorm room, quietly, though she doubted any of her roommates were still up at this hour. Or the plan was to walk in, she felt a hand stop her. Her arm was tugged and it reminded Aniela a little of a puppy needing attention. Tanner even had the puppy eyes.
She felt his lips descend upon hers and Aniela didn't know if it was because she was tired or less willing to accommodate but she didn't return the kiss. He was well hung, good for him, but was he outgoing enough? Would a date with him actually be all that fun? She'd pegged that men that moved the earth for you were simply figments of mythology. She didn't take chances on anyone. Including him. "Tanner, thanks. For the great night. But just because we had fun doesn't mean I'm interested in going out with you. It's never going to work. You like drawing and I can't stand art. There's a strong chance Tanner that I won't be available for anybody soon, Vineheart was supposed to change me. When my parents see that it hasn't they're going to want me married within the hour. Us dating is just a really bad idea."

We just now got the feeling that we’re meeting for the first time. When Aniela turned him down again, he groaned and rolled his eyes. “I wanted to go sailing.” He pouted a little. She cited their different opinions of art as a reason that things wouldn’t work, and Tanner thought that was stupid, but he didn’t say a single word until she said that her parents were probably going to rip her away from Vineheart and force her to marry. He shook his head. “No.” Then he suggested, “Marry me, Aniela. Tell them that you are going to marry me.” Maybe it was because he was so tired or, perhaps, it was his huge crush talking, but he meant it in that moment. He took both of her hands in his, and he said, “I’m a prince; they can’t be disappointed in that. And our countries are both powerful. It’s not like they can be disappointed in your choice.” He looked her in the eyes and asked, “Marry me, so I can go on dates with you. So I can show you how a man should treat a woman. So we can go sailing and ice fishing and make cheesecake. Go to shitty pubs and drink while dancing to no music.” He put his forehead to hers and whispered, “I will never let you down, Princess. Never ever. Not for eternity.”
Tanner then picked Aniela up because she was so tired and cradled her in his arms. Carefully, he carried her into her bedroom, still holding her as he turned down her sheets. He put her in bed and pulled the sheets up, tucking her in. Tanner leaned down and put a gentle kiss on her temple. “Sleep tightly, Princess.”
He then made his way out of the suite and into the hall, making sure that the door to the dorm was shut and locked. He wouldn’t want anyone getting in and hurting or pranking the girls. He quietly walked back to his suite – where both Bentley and Ric were either asleep or out. It was quiet in the room. He went into his room and basically jumped into the bed with excitement about all the events that had occurred that day – with Aniela. He wanted to tell someone about it, but Mielikki was not around for some reason – she was probably with that weird looking guy that she met at the Blink concert. Things were progressing very smoothly for the two of them. Why did Aniela have to fight Tanner on EVERYTHING?

Aniela's eyes widened. "Talk about blowing it out of proportion. God Tanner.. I know you mean well but I can't marry you knowing that your proposal is based on my parents emotional blackmail." the corners of her lips turned slightly as he complimented the power of their great nations. "Has the sex fried your brain? Poland rules, Finland drools." she wrapped her arms around him, enveloping herself in a tight embrace. She felt so overwhelmed by the weight of his sacrifice. He was actually willing to take her as his wife in order to make sure Aniela wasn't thrown into something that made her unhappy. It was the most selfess thing anyone had ever done for her - but she wouldn't let him do it.
"Thank you Tanner, thank you. But I can't. It's been a long day and I think I just need to sleep." she tilted her head and laid it against his shoulder as they hugged. She stiffened when Tanner lifted her into his arms only because she was worried about detection from her roommates. Mira was her main concern. She would do anything to show Aniela up. She laid like cardboard under the covers. She wasn't used to this at all. He made her feel weak and vulnerable, of which she could've probably hit him for doing if she was awake enough. She'd probably scold him in the morning.
"Night Tanner" she grumbled, murmuring after he left that she could've just walked in. He didn't have to make her feel so helpless. With a deep breath she relaxed, finally able to feel comfortable enough to drift into thoughtless sleep.
