The Aftermath [Aniela]

We just now got the feeling that we’re meeting for the first time.

The aftermath. Tanner wondered if it was how girls reacted after their first time of really being with someone. He couldn’t sleep that night, no matter how tired he was. He wanted to wake up Bentley and Ric, but that would have been a bad idea. Bentley had been someone that Aniela had fooled around with – or more – and Tanner didn’t know if he could actually look at someone who had been with Aniela anymore. Not out of disgust, no no no. But more so out of jealousy. Tanner had wanted her for so long, but never thought he stood a chance with that fiery redhead. But when he got his chance, he took it and ran with it. But for him to look at a person that had already been with her – Tanner was jealous of everyone that had that opportunity, especially if it felt half as amazing as he felt with her. There was just something so natural about the way they were together; it’s like they were created for each other.

He considered waking Ric up, but that would have been entirely rude. And really girly. Mielikki had once told him about a girl she knew that woke her up to talk about her first time – they ate ice cream and watched girl movies and chatted about it. Tanner didn’t want to act like that in front of a guy, so he just sat in his room.

For about ten seconds.

Then he shot a text to Mielikki. He didn’t hear her phone go off in the suite, so he knew she was out. And he waited for her reply, but he got nothing. Nothing. She was definitely out with that boy from the concert. That one that Tanner definitely didn’t approve of – he was just plain gross. There was about three square inches of the kid without tattoos, and he was not attending school and had no plans of it. The boy was just a mere servant that had a dream of being a musician, and he was probably using the exposure of being around someone famous to get him there. Tanner did not approve.

But it wasn’t like Mielikki was going to approve of Aniela either. When Tanner spoke of his crush before, Mielikki had admitted her distaste in the girl. Aniela would have to win over her heart big time – but the problem there was that Aniela didn’t care about winning anyone over. …And then the worrying started about whether or not Aniela was going to care about winning Tanner’s parents over…

And eventually Tanner tired himself out with worry and fell asleep. He got his full eight hours and then woke up and took a shower, throwing on some boring clothes. Just a plain black v-neck tee and a pair of jeans. Then he grabbed a hoodie and threw one his shoes. He walked down to Aniela’s room, and knocked on the door. He thought for a moment of using Sheldon Cooper’s knock from the Big Bang Theory, but he didn’t think that anyone would hear it. Or get the joke.

A girl that was NOT Aniela answered. It was another princess. She greeted him politely, and Tanner smiled and simply asked, “Aniela around?”

Outfit

Aniela had been up early for softball practice. She thought it might've been awkward, showing up, when the captain of the softball team was none other than Tanner's servant. Fortunately she didn't show. Which was good for two reasons. One, she didn't have to face those petty glares and that distracting red hair. Yes her hair was red too, but Aniela's was a better red. So she sucked, yeah. Two, as co-captain it meant she got a chance to step into her servant-in-laws shoes as captain. Reena sure as hell wouldn't follow her orders. Just because she talked about the girl behind her back and made her best friend afraid of marrying her. Some people seriously needed a bulletin that said 'lighten up!' but oh well. She changed out of her softball clothes and into her comfy monotone fabrics. A simple pleated skirt, a cute blouse, knee socks and her favourite pair of shoes.

She didn't get along with many people, mostly because she didn't love shopping and didn't devote her life to finding a boyfriend and living in a Cinderella castle. She didn't care if she ever saw the Polish palace again. Her parents didn't want her, that was made abundantly clear, and she was never going to be the Princess they wanted her to be. She was too butch for that and she preferred it that way. Shy girly girls pissed her off big time. And if the Queen bitch Aubrey tried to lay a finger on her Aniela would put her in the hospital before she could say 'hammer'. With her right hand texting Izabella the whole way back to her dorm she didn't care that she took the long way.

She wasn't entirely concentrated on the texting though. She didn't let her servant in on much in her life. She could play tennis with her left hand at the same time as texting her servant with her right hand, because neither was that interesting to her. She picked up a soda on her way back to the dorm, wondering if she would see Tanner today. She was annoyed at herself for these feelings he was making her feel but at least she'd told him straight up that she didn't do dates, a relationship wouldn't work out and she catagorically couldn't marry him. Honesty was the best policy after all and he'd given her the same courtesy. Her face became extremely expressive as she noticed Tanner at her door speaking to one of her roommates.

"Nope she's not home." she smirked, flipping her phone shut and slipping it into her blouse pocket. "Were you looking for a repeat of last night?" her fingers reached out to touch his. She hadn't expected a morning rendezvous but it was a welcome surprise. Unless he was there to pitch the idea for a date again.
