Friday afternoon. Hiro was done with classes but not yet done with certain duties he had to take care of. He needed to get some pictures for the newspaper and for one of his classes done. Pictures of the forest to be exact and as much as this was taking time out of his schedule to work on his other school work. He walked down the path that led to the stables with his camera and bag in hand. This little adventure wouldn't be a complete waste. In the process of getting these pictures he'd also get to take his beloved black stallion, Arashi, out for a ride to stretch his legs. The horses, although they are taken out of their stables by the staff and walked around in a corral it is up to the owners to make sure they get good works out. Arashi was true to his name which was Japanese for Storm. Arashi most definitely had the speed and personalty to match. He was quite the energetic horse and would be one of Kai's best friends. One of greatest gifts he had received.
As Kai grew closer to the stables he could here the sounds of the different horses that were kept there. Horses from both the royals and servants of the school. He walked into the stables and was quickly taken by the horses. They were all beautiful creatures. There was a crate of apples and he stuffed a few into his coat pocket as he walked to the area of the stables were the Japanese had their horses. There stood Kai's precious Arashi in all his magnificence alongside his siblings horses and the horse he had gotten his servant this past Christmas as a gift. He walked up to his old friend and patted his neck. "How has my boy been? I'm sorry I haven't come to visit you sooner. Gomen." he said as he brought out one of the apples from his coat pocket as a peace offering. He stepped away from Arashi for a second to feed the other horses that had become his friends, including his younger brother's Mitsuo's horse. "I hope you've all been well." he spoke gently as he patted them on the neck as well. He turned back to Arashi and spoke with a smile. "How about going for a ride?" he asked curiously already knowing the answer. Arashi gave a quick neigh in response. "I thought so." he said as he asked one of the stable workers for his saddle.

"Smeeeellllssss goooood!!!" Mitsuo shouted as he was stretching his arms up in the air as he walked outside the school grounds. He was always looking forward to this time in the afternoon where he can walk around outdoors before the sun sets. He still have a bunch of schoolwork to do, but Mitsuo was too confident he can do it during the weekends. In other words, he suddenly fell into his "laziness" illness and the only cure for it is for him to be outdoors and just be his silly self. For sure if his parents, especially his mother, get to know about his lazy attitude, they will scold him once again. He pouted for a while as he thought of it. Well, they can rely on Kai. Always Kai. He took a deep breath and brushed away the thought about his brother. He knew very well that his parents would not send him in Vineheart for nothing. In the future, he had to start being serious because of his social status. But for now, it's play time!
He jumped into a small bush after noticing a cattail beneath it. He picked it up like a little kid and then he continued on walking. He loved having this little freedom during this time when he can be just like a cheerful kid. He held on the cattail on his right hand as he was swishing it like a wand.
Mitsuo continued walking and skipping every once in a while until he reached the stable. He decided to stop by just to see Hoshi. It was his light brown horse, which has a white spot on the forehead which Mitsuo thinks it looked like a star. He kind of missed his horse; even if he was staying outdoors after classes, he seldom pays a visit and takes care of Hoshi. He was still happy to see the horse looking well. He reached up and gently brushed his left hand on Hoshi's white spot on his head, when he suddenly realized that the his horse seemed to be chewing on something. He quickly looked around and that was the only time he noticed Kai's presence. His smile slowly turned upside down. "Hoshi! Looked what I found!" He quickly turned his head to his horse, pretending Kai's not present. He wagged the cattail he was holding on his right hand like it was the first time he discovered one.

Kai was carried away with saddling up Arashi that he hadn't even realized the presence of his younger brother. Mitsuo, the youngest son and child of the Japanese royal family. Twins, everyone had been so excited to welcome them into the family. Kai was only two at the time so he wouldn't exactly have understood what all the fuss was about but as he grew older he couldn't have been happier to be an older brother. Kai had spent two years at Vineheart before the twins were able to join him.
"Mitsuo. Konnichiwa." It was quite sad that Kai could not remember the last time he had spent any time with his brother or sister while at Vineheart. They all gone home during the winter break but even then Kai had busied himself with so much that it'd probably seemed hardly like a break. Plus his brother was no fan of the winter time. Mitsuo was more of a summer time person. "Where did you find the cat?" he asked in English. Of course both princes were very fluent in their native language as was basically everyone who attended Vineheart. English had been a language that they had to learn. It was the language that they spoke most of the time now but you'd find them switching between both.
Now came a bit of an awkware moment. Kai had been a terrible brother. He had been busying himself with so much that he had rarely made any time for his siblings. In part it was because he believed that if basically took all responsibilities he could he'd avoid any burdens being placed on his brother and sister. The life of a noble was not an easy as most people would believe and Kai had already grown up knowing this and growing through it but didn't want that for his younger siblings and thought that this could be a good idea. Of course he hadn't completely anticipated basically closing himself off from his siblings to the point where they barely see each other. On top of that though no one except for a select few knew of what he was doing and that didn't include Mitsuo or their sister. Perhaps he could change that for a bit. "I was going to take Arashi out for a ride. I need some pictures for the newspaper. Would you and Hoshi like to join us?"

Mtisuo's face started to be filled with the feeling of awkwardness. He felt uncomfortable whether he will be ignoring Kai or not. On the other side, he doesn't want to ignore him because his twin sister might know about it. She wasn't there at the scene, but he would hate it if she will suddenly bug him about ignoring Kai. He shrugged and gave a light nod after Kai greeted him in their native language. Every once in a while, he feels a little warm whenever he hears people talking to him on his native language. It somehow makes him feel like he's at home. He tried not to show it to Kai though; his brother will just end up talking to him more often if it happens. Butthe question is, does Kai have time for that ?
He was still playing with the cattail when Kai asked him about it. "Ah... just behind a bush... near the lake, on my way here." Cold toned words came out from his mouth as he spoke to Kai. He was just facing Hoshi while he was patting Hoshi's forehead and then his horse' neck. He cannot look straight at Kai.He really cannot control himself when Kai is trying to talk to him. His brother might have his reasons for not giving them time, but Mitsuo thinks Kai is still being unfair to them.
When Kai asked him to go for a ride on their horses, Mitsuo wouldn't hesitate to say no. He hadn't spent time with his horse for a while, and the weather seems fine to have a stroll with Hoshi. But there was one thing that made him hesitate to say yes immediately. Hearing Kai say that he was going to take pictures for the school paper, he felt disappointed. He was putting other things in between them once again. "Eh.. you sound so busy huh... Are you sure? I'll just end up disturbing you." Mistuo said in a sarcastic manner as he leaned on the column not too far from Hoshi. He was paying with the brown tip of the cattail, his lips pouting as he felt sad about what was happenign between him and Kai. Kai surely is preoccupied by so many things that he can hardly spend time with him.

If you were looking for someone to give the brother of the year award to the last person on that list should be Kai. Now Kai wasn't a horrible brother but he was honestly failing at the job right now. Perfect example is this very moment. He could have easily just asked Mitsuo if he wanted to go on a ride out just the two of them without mentioning the having to take pictures part. That simple but of course Kai was completely oblivious to it. As intelligent as the young Japanese prince was, he was sorely lacking in very important areas.
The tone of Mitsuo's words did not go unnoticed though but Kai didn't say anything. He wasn't surprised nor did he think they were undeserving of. He tried to move on from them when Mitsuo moved towards the pillar. He had thought that Mitsuo would be happy for the chance to spend some time together. Of course that was because Kai was oblivious to how he had made Mitsuo feel. "I highly doubt that. You'd probably help me find some good shots to say. We could even take some to send to Okasan and Otosan." His parents had been on his case about the fact that he took so many pictures for school but hardly any other himself and his siblings. "And you can tell me how your classes have been treating you lately?" he said trying to encourage his brother into taking his offer. The opportunity was here and Kai didn't want to pass it up. "So, what do you say?"

Mitsuo was still playing with the tip of the cattail, as Kai was trying his best to persuade him to go with him. He can easily say no, only if his twin sister will not discover this. He might appear to be the villain in this story. If it happens; he doesn't want it to turn out that way, though. Now, Kai's seem to be using their parents to make Mitsuo change his mind. Speaking of his parents, Mitsuo wouldn't admit it, but he's a mama's boy. He always want to get his mother's attention. It looks like Kai got him this time – whether he's brother said it intentionally or not to make him say yes.
"Uh... well, Okasan might like that." Mitsuo muttered as he swagged the cattail at the corner of the pathway. It wouldn't hurt to go with Kai, as Mitsuo thought of it at that moment. On the other hand, he thought that once his brother leaves him hanging in midair, he will not think twice of leaving him. He called the attention of one of the stable workers to help him put a saddle on his horse. He looked back quickly to Kai, pointing the cattail towards his brother. “Better make sure you'll send Okasan a good photo of a pretty flower!” Mitsuo uneasily put his hand down, awkwardly facing back to his horse as he threw away the cattail.
Kai suddenly popped out the topic about his studies, leaving Mitsuo grinning. “Could we skip that topic?” Mitsuo said to his brother, following his words with a chuckle. Mitsuo would be the last, or maybe one of the people who will try to be serious with his studies. He knew very well that his parents sent him to Vineheart to receive the best education that is rightful for him and his siblings. Yet, Mitsuo is being his slothful self sometimes. For him, being the fourth in line gives him lesser responsibilities as of now. Maybe he also got used to the fact that someone always comes first or covers him up, like his twin sister or his older siblings which also includes Kai. Of course his actions were frowned upon but he just doesn't want to be too serious for now.
As they finished putting the saddle on Hoshi, Mitsuo glanced to his brother . “Ikimasho ka?” Mitsuo said to him with a slight smile, then he guided Hoshi towards the exit of the stable. He was hoping his brother would really be talking to him this time, just like the old days.

It looked like mentioning their parents might have done the trick. Most people that knew Mitsuo well enough knew that the youngest Japanese prince was extremely close to their mother. Some would say that he was definitely a mama's boy. So by mentioning taking pictures to send to their parents it seemed to give Mitsuo the push he needed to say yes to Kai's offer. Sad really. Once upon a time Mitsuo would have said yes to invitations such as these from Kai without much hesitation. Shows how far their relationship had been breaking apart. Kai stifled a smile when Mitsuo pointed the cattail and became serious. "Hai. I'm sure you'll make sure I find the right flower." he said with an light smile as he got back to finishing up saddling Arashi as Mitsuo took care of Hoshi.
Kai only smiled again when Mitsuo mentioned about avoiding the topic of studying. Kai at least knew about his younger brother to know that Mitsuo wasn't exactly the best when it came to studying. He believed Mitsuo was a bright kid, but funny enough he also knew his brother was a tad lazy. Kai never scolded him about. First off he never had the time to and second was he didn't really care too much. After all he wanted his brother to enjoy his life right now. He was still very young after all. At least in Kai's eyes. The reason Kai wasn't like that was because he never allowed himself to. "Ikou." he said brightly and began to lead Arashi out the stable. Once outside he jumped onto the black stallion and began to lead the way. Motioning for his brother to follow.
Kai and Arashi were leading away and stopped to look behind them, first to make his brother was following them and to see how far they were from the stables. The workers and staff were always very adamant when it came to the safety of the royals. Sometimes rather suffocating. So Kai always waited until he was out of sight of the stables before letting Arashi loose. They were a nice way off and Kai smiled. "Mitsuo, how about a run?" Arashi was built for speed. The stable workers would walk the horses around in the coral to keep them from going stiff but Kai always knew that that wasn't enough for the black horse. Arashi needed to be able to run free at his full force. "I know a place up near a river bank with some beautiful flowers. It's a bit far but we'll get there faster if the horses get to run. What do you say? That is unless you don't think Hoshi can keep up with Arashi?" he said playfully teasing both his brother and his horse. Of course this didn't sit well with Hoshi. The light brown huffed in disagreement which only caused Kai to chuckled. "Gomen Hoshi. I meant no offence." he said then looked back up at his brother. "So, what do you say?"

As Mitsuo led Hoshi outside the stable, He climbed up to his horse and sat on the saddle. He guided Hoshi quietly as they followed Kai and Arashi through the pathway. He was still quite hesitant if joining Kai was a good idea. Yet during that very minute, Mitsuo felt a little nostalgic upon looking at Kai’s back. He always looked up to his brother all his life. If he had a wish, he would pray for him to spend more time with him, just like the old days. He knew that he was born in a not-so-normal family and he and his siblings have responsibilities to face especially in the future. He knew about it very well, but at the end of the day, his family is all he had. He still can’t think of a good reason for Kai to treat him this way. At the same time, he’s still pretty immature to take on serious things.
Mitsuo swiftly looked away from Kai’s back as soon as he heard his brother talking. "Eh?" He clearly heard what he said, though he was lost in thought that he reacted like he was not listening at all. It seems Kai waited for them to be away from the stable so they can ride faster with their horses. His brother was trying to challenge him this time. Mitsuo was aware that Arashi’s quite a fast horse, well faster than Hoshi but he wouldn’t admit that. Hoshi will always be the best horse for him – well although he doesn’t take care of him very well. "Hoshi’s as fast as I could run! ne, Hoshi?" Mitsuo boasted to his brother as he tried to make Hoshi move a little faster so as he could be beside his brother.
Mitsuo suddenly had a wicked idea. He really can’t hide his naughty side. A familiar smirk appeared on his face. He suddenly exerted pressure on the reins he was holding onto to make Hoshi gallop fast in an instant. His body moved back a bit as Hoshi followed his command to run faster, while he made sure they had an early advantage from Kai and Arashi. "We'll then, we’re going first!" Mitsuo shouted to Kai as he tried to leave them behind with him leading Hoshi towards their destination.

Most people that knew Kai now would probably find it hard to believe that Kai wasn't always this way but it was true. Once upon a time ago when he was much younger Kai had a much more playful personality. Of course has always been a responsible and studious person but he used to give himself much more freedom and liberty to be able take breaks and enjoy himself. The change began prior to his entrance to Vineheart. His parents had been of course on more than one occasion the need to stay focus on his responsibilities. Slowly Kai began to put more time to his studies and responsibilities as a prince of Japan and less time on other things. He didn't ignore his family, he just spent less time with them. The majority of the time he spent w/ them was when they were having some sort of family gathering.
At first Kai thought that Mitsuo hadn't heard him. Or perhaps he wasn't interest in the idea. Arashi was a horse that needed to be able to spread his legs out and run but perhaps Hoshi wasn't or Mitsuo just didn't want to. Or maybe he had interested him after all. Kai slightly smiled when Hoshi started speed up to catch up with Kai and Arashi. Mitsuo's smirk did not go unnoticed by Kai. He had seen that smirk on many occasion. That was his little brother's way of showing that something was brewing in that head of his. Normally something mischievous.
Then Mitsuo struck. Before he knew it both Mitsuo and Hoshi were off taking advantage of Kai's loss of focus to take an early lead. "Oi!" he yelled out to his brother. Kai chuckled and then leaned forward to talk into Arashi's ear. "We can't let otouto-tachi show us up now can we Arashi." The horse huffed and shook his mane. Kai smiled. Although they weren't blood related Kai always believed that Arashi saw Hoshi as a little brother of his own. On more than one occasion he had seen Arashi watching out for the younger horse. By now they had given Mitsuo and Hoshi a good enough lead. "Hai. Ikou." and they were off. Kai tightened his grip on the reigns but he trusted. Arashi's speed increased with each step. Running past the trees, the wind blowing through his hair. Kai only held on tight enough to keep on but he let Arashi run to his hearts content. Then he caught sight of his brother. A smile broke onto his face. In no time they would be creeping on the younger duo and although Hoshi could be fast, Kai had yet to meet a horse that was faster than him. Wouldn't be long until he caught up with them and took the lead. "Still think you can win." he yelled out to his brother.

Mitsuo was loving the speed as Hoshi continued to gallop faster on his command. He loves running by his own feet, though Kai dared them to race to the destination so here he is riding fast with Hoshi. He had to hold tighter on the reins since it’s his first time to let Hoshi run in such speed. Usually he would only take Hoshi on a slow walk, and they wouldn’t go too far from the stable. He must be a bad owner, right? Unlike Arashi, Kai seemed to be taking care of his horse properly.
It wasn’t too long when he heard Arashi galloping nearer to them. The black stallion sure is too fast! Mitsuo quickly looked back and saw his brother was coming. He continued guiding Hoshi to run faster, yet it might be that Hoshi’s less practice to run swiftly gave them lesser advantage to get the lead. On just a short while, Kai is already passing in front of them. Karma came to him so fast. Mitsuo clicked his tongue, feeling irritated as he lost their lead. “Nii-chan, matte!” Mitsuo puffed his cheeks after shouting.
As he and Hoshi continued on catching up with Kai and Arashi, the words he shouted started to sink in. Normally, especially when they were in public, Mitsuo would call his brother Onii-sama. He and his twin sister need to call their older siblings formally. But when it’s just them alone, he would call his sister Nee-chan, and Kai Nii-chan. Most of the time, he calls them this way whenever he wants to get something from them. Since they became older, Mitsuo started calling them lesser in an informal way. To add to that, they don't spend more time together.
He pulled the reins to halt Hoshi. The riverbank was a bit close to where he was, yet he chose to stop Hoshi. He put his head down and sighed. “I give up!” He shouted in a monotone manner. He gripped tighter on the reins feeling grouchy. Hoshi seemed to still be in the mood to run but Mitsuo’s frustration made him give up. He wasn’t sure if he’s aggravated because of the way he called on Kai or because he lost his early lead. He just sat on top of Hoshi, waiting for Kai to stop and go back to him.

It really wasn't a question. Arashi was the faster horse between these two. So it was really in no time before Kai and Arashi had caught up to Mitsuo and Hoshi. That wasn't what amused him though. It was the fact Mitsuo had accepted his challenge. This wasn't exactly the playing they used to do when you they were younger but it sure felt like old times. When the two could just hang around together and act like normal children. Before things changed.
He heard his brother call out to him and decreased Arashi's speed a bit but kept it up enough that he still had the lead. The words did not go unnoticed. Mitsuo had called Kai "nii-chan". Although it was an informal way to address an older brother it was how Mitsuo would normally call Kai when they were together. Kai was so used to be calling onii-sama when they were in public and with the family that hearing nii-chan was rather heart warming. It had been a long while since he had heard the term and that was his fault. Busying himself all the time. He pulled the reins on Arashi to slow the horse down to a halt. The riverbank wasn't far off.
Kai turned the horse and began to trot back towards his brother. He could tell that Mitsuo was a bit frustrated. From what he could not be sure but guessed from loosing. "Konotsugi wa ganbatte" he said encouragingly. He hadn't been looking to put his younger brother into a sour mood, especially when he was trying to have a good time here since he had been failing to do that so often. "It was nice to hear you call me nii-chan again. I've missed it." he said in soft voice, unable to look at Mitsuo directly. Again this was his fault for not making time for his younger brother and sister. "Well, why don't we go looking for that flower for okaa-san?" he asked with a warm smile as he turned Arashi back around and began walking the last bit towards the riverbank. Once they were Kai hopped down from the black stallion and led Arashi towards the water so he could drink. He had earned it that was for sure. He pulled his camera out from his bag to have it ready. Before looking around too much he first took a few shots of his brother and Hoshi. "I'm sure okaa-san and otou-san will like these. So, see anything you like?"

Mitsuo was feeling frustrated, or rather embarrassed for calling Kai "nii-chan." It was ages since he last call him that way. Whenever he talks to Kai he will just call him or refer to him with a 'hey', 'nee', or he was often trying to avoid to call him Oniisan or nii-chan. He was also trying to avoid that other people will hear him call Kai that way. He doesn't want to be teased for being still his childish self. He looked up to Kai trying not to smile back. It seems Kai was happy about it, or was he trying to tease Mitsuo? Mitsuo quickly looked away and ignored Kai's comment. “Do.. Don't be so full of yourself! Hoshi and I will beat you next time.” He said to his brother stubbornly as he followed them, making Hoshi gallop slowly and letting Kai and Arashi lead the way.
The view of the lake was truly breathtaking. He could say it was one of his favorite spots inside Vineheart. He was supposed to be going down from Hoshi’s back when he noticed the camera flashed. He huffed and looked towards Kai immediately. “Hey! Let me do a good posing!” He jokingly said to Kai after his brother mentioned that he will be sending the picture to their parents. He wanted his mother to see that he is doing fine in the school. He made a few funny poses before he went down of his horse, and then he escorted Hoshi right away beside Arashi.
He stretched out his hands in the air, and then he took a deep breath. “Yaaah!” A wide smile was followed his excited yell as he was looking at the lake. He tried not to stand too near the water. He wiggled his hand quickly, energetically feeling the air. He looked back to Kai, but he tried to make the smile plastered on his face to fade out. He gazed around and noticed a small bush not too far away from where he was standing. It has a small, dark pink flower. “Over here! Take a look at this!” He squatted and looked at the small flower closely. He recalled his mother’s face whenever she sees a flower.

Kai gave his brother a light chuckle. "Arashi and I will look forward to it. Ganbatte." he said encouragingly. Kai could make out what he believed to be a bit of annoyance in his brother's voice. He figured that was because he and Arashi had been able to catch up and out run them. There was a reason that Kai had named his horse Arashi for a reason. The horse had been young when he had first been presented to the eldest prince but it was obvious that he had been built for speed and Kai saw this early on. It was evident in their early rides. Of course he had to be careful when he rode at home. Couldn't go worrying his parents after all but when he was at Vineheart he let Arashi ride to his heart's content for he trusted the horse. Arashi wasn't one to let another horse beat him so easily but Hoshi was a young horse as well and hadn't been pushed as much as Arashi had been. With time and proper training Hoshi would be a very fine horse.
He chuckled at his brother's poses. "Baka" he said teasingly and began to snap away. He knew that there mother would love these. She was the type of mother that adored to see her children laughing and smiling. While Mitsuo led Hoshi over towards Arashi Kai got to taking pictures of their surroundings. The lake was of course breath taking and would be an excellent shot. Kai was just happy to see his brother smiling. It warmed his heart, especially since it was not something that he had been doing enough of recently. He followed his brother's gaze and smile with understanding. He followed his brother to the bush and crouched down. He found the right angle before snapping a few. Then he took a step back to get Mitsuo in the shot as well. "Good eye Mitsuo. Okaa-san will love this." he said taking a few shots of his brother. "Why don't we take one together?" he said crouching down next to Mitsuo and holding up the camera.

IS THIS FATE?surely, my heart is like a rolling coaster!* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Mitsuo looked at the flower, remembering his mother. The flower is less lovely than those she prepares for her ikebana, but any flower still reminds him of her. He wonders if she is also missing him, and what she was doing as of the moment. Now that he and his twin sister were in Vineheart, he can’t stop thinking about that. If only he had a choice to stay in Japan, near his mother. As he momentary looked towards Kai, who was taking pictures of the flower, he replied a soft smile as he commented him for finding the flower. He made a gleeful expression, adding a peace sign as he posed for a picture with the small flower.
Mitsuo can’t help to miss the old times as of that moment. He knew he could find a better one, but still, he appreciates how his brother praises even the simple things he does. If only this happens every single day like before. If only Mitsuo can find the words to tell Kai how he sincerely felt, yet it will be the last thing he will do. He did not want Kai or his other siblings to tell him he is just being selfish again. But, all he just wanted is for all his siblings to have a good relationship with each other like when they were still kids.
So when Kai told Mitsuo that they should take a picture together, he froze at his position. He did not know whether to say yes or to push his brother right away. Different thoughts started to flash inside his head. What if his twin sister finds out about this and teases him that he is already in good terms with Kai once again? His older sister? His face turn awkward in a little bit as he placed his hand on Kai’s arm, putting a little pressure to push him to the other side of the flower. “Just stand over there. Don't get too close...” He said, as he also moved a few inches away from Kai as well, but making sure he won’t step on the flower.

Of course Kai did not ignore what Mitsuo had said but he didn't let it get to him. He should be expecting such things. After all it wasn't like he had been showing his siblings the proper affection as of late and thus why should he expect his brother to act as if everything was perfectly right when it wasn't in the least. He didn't waver in his smile. At least his brother hadn't rejected the offer of the picture. He maneuvered into a comfortable position and held up the camera at the right angle to make sure that he got his brother, himself and the flowers. He pushed the button and then a flash. When he looked at the picture he thought it had come out rather nicely. "What do you think?" he said, handing over the camera so that Mitsuo could inspect the picture.
Kai was enjoying this. Although it could be a much better atmosphere between the two Japanese princes Kai was happy that he was getting a chance to spend time with his brother at all. This time reminded him of better times of when he could hang out with Mitsuo and younger sister. A huge pang of guilt struck his heart. Things didn't necessarily have to be this way. Kai was the one that was making it so. If Kai hadn't forced so much upon himself he'd would be making much more time for the twins. He looked down at the flowers with a solemn face. "Mitsuo. Gomen. Gomen for being such a terrible brother." the words simply flowed out of his mouth without much thought. They were spoken with a sadden tone as the realization of how much he was failing as a brother. He didn't look at his brother when he spoke. He continued to look down at the floor before getting up. Once upon a time Kai could be found playing with younger siblings. Making them smile and laugh because it brought so much joy to him to see them happy. How easy time began to tear that apart. It was unfair to the twins. How Kai just slowly began to distance himself from them.
